While Blackfire could have stepped in and assisted Safira, the effort wasn’t needed. Kom was content with standing back as Safira suddenly landed in front of her, Kom amused by the girl’s change of attire. One hand on her hip, Komand’r watched as the assassin disarmed all of the security personnel, and then took them out one by one as they ran forwards. She disappeared and reappeared with quick pink flashes of smoke, and Kom watched, impressed and wearing a small grin on her lips. Safira had definitely lived up to her expectations, proving that she was just as great as an assassin as Komand’r had gathered by observation. There was no need for Kom to join in, as they were all swiftly taken care of by Safira’s two blades.
Kom smirked back at Safira and outstretched her hand, catching the case by the handle. It didn’t feel that heavy; whatever was inside couldn’t have been that big in size. Not that Komand’r was that interested; with the tech in hand her mission was complete. As long as Luthor was pleased with the success, everything was worth the effort. Blackfire turned her gaze to Safira’s target as he moved across the floor, desperately trying to find a working weapon. But the assassin had done quite a job, making sure that every gun was jammed, and there was no other weapon in sight for him to wield.
“It’s almost sad,” Kom said, watching unimpressed as the man went from gun to gun. “Pathetic, even. Some people just can’t accept when they’ve run out of options.”
The man reached for a gun closest to her, and Kom did the honors of stepping on the useless weapon in front of her. It was crushed underneath her foot, and Blackfire carelessly kicked the remains of it away. She shrugged then, lifting her foot and pushing it into the man’s chest so that he fell backwards and then looked to Safira. “I’ll leave it to you. This part causes a little bit of a mess.”

Safira didn’t need to hear much else. She reached down towards the man desperately floundering on the floor and lifted him up to his feet, clenching a handful of his shirt with one hand. With the other she threw it up, throwing out spatial energy that created one of her portals overhead. Gripping the man with both hands, Safira threw him upwards through the portal that closed behind him. Seen through one of the windows, outside, it may have been possible to catch a glimpse of the man as he torpedoed to the ground, hitting it with a thud and a splatter of bones breaking. He was dead – you don’t survive that.
”He wasn’t worth bloodying the outfit”. Safira said with a smirk, brushing her hands together for a moment or two. ”What now? Call it a night, or… see what other trouble there is for us?”. The mission was complete and in time there would be an expectancy to report back. But the night was still young, and Safira had a passport to the World – lotta chaos in that.

“I don’t know about you, assassin,” Kom said, “but I think we should reward our hard work.”As she spoke she reached up and pulled the bands from her hair, shaking it out of the more formal look it had taken so that it hung freely over her shoulders. They’d have to report eventually, but there was plenty of time left in their mission window to enjoy some trouble of their own making. Blackfire was enjoying having Safira around; the alien had worried that loyalty would make the girl stiff and allergic to fun. Luckily the assassin was not as serious as Kom had thought; there was a type of devious enjoyment in the girl that Kom liked to have in her company. A quick glance to the remains of their show was enough to confirm they could have quite a successful night, if they wished.
She smiled to Safira, eyes slightly narrowed. “Make it a girls’ night out, if you’d like.”
Glancing to the chains on the ceiling, the only whole piece of the chandeliers that remained, Kom added, “Though I must admit that I’m not familiar with many places on this planet yet. So it will be your choosing where we go. Oh, and not to take advantage of your abilities but…”
Blackfire looked back to Safira and held up the case, “I don’t really want to send us on a hunt for this again.”
She genuinely didn’t want to seem as though she was using Safira. Losing the case would provide a problem that Kom really didn’t want to deal with, and she wasn’t going to be happy with those consequences. Blackfire had a lot of abilities, but even with her flight it would take a while to reach Vegas and place the tech somewhere safe before they even started enjoying themselves with their own trouble-making fun. At the worst she’d owe Safira a favor for this, and Kom could live with that.

It was the Shadow Squad that allowed Safira to break from the rules and expectations of the Demon – at least to some extent. On missions she weren’t expected to behave in a certain way, only that she got results. It meant that she could be herself than another hood in the group as she was with the League. Fortunately for her she played them both well and could step between the two behaviours when needed.
”Not a problem”. Safira nodded with a smile beneath the shadow her hood cast. ”Perhaps we might be able to gather the others if we stop by headquarters. Nightshade, Ravager, Jinx…”. Safira’s voice trailed off at the end. She was not particularly a fan of Match, or Inertia – maybe not even Jager, really. Tula was a little odd too. But Safira had gotten on well with the others thus far.
It was then that her hand became enveloped with pinkly colored spatial energy that Safira threw out to one side. It grew into a portal that was large enough for them both to step through; waiting on the other side was the Shadow Sanctum. ”After you”. Safira said gesturing for Komand’r to step through first. She wasn’t going to warn the princess of the odd feeling teleportation gave the first time you did it. But like with all things it would grow on you if given time.

Kom slightly raised her eyebrow at the portal; she’d done different sorts of travelling but by portal was not one of them. She hadn’t expected it to grow in size, but Safira seemed to have control of that. This mission had taught her more than she’d thought about her teammate. Stepping through the pink portal, Kom was taken aback for a moment of the odd sensation as she walked through. It was jolting, almost disorienting, but in mere seconds Komand’r found herself standing in the Shadow Sanctum. She looked over her shoulder to Safira with a smile, “I’m impressed. Very helpful ability that you have there.”
The princess then stretched and looked around the Sanctum. It seemed quiet, usually it was nothing more than that, but Blackfire was certain there had to be someone around. If not, chances were they could run into another person at some point. “We’ll see if anyone else turns up while we’re here. I’ll go store this.”
Tapping the case with her fingers Kom stored the case in a safe place; not like anyone was going to take it anyway since it was now property of the Light. She then ditched the party dress for her normal mission attire; if Safira got the chance to change then Kom wouldn’t be stuck in that dress either. It was almost like chains restricting her flight, and the alien had had enough of that. Once Blackfire had done both of those tasks she walked out to the common area where she’d left Safira, looking to see if they’d picked up anyone who wished to join them. “Anyone else who wishes to join our fun?"
