January 4th. 10 PM
She wondered what this man had done. Not that it mattered, Jade really didn't care either way but it was just something to think about while she waited for her target to move into place. Well, whatever he did was worth $100,000 and that was enough incentive for her. Her client thought the price was a bit steep but Jade had told him if he wanted the job done and done right then he would pay what she told him. Orginally she had planned on $50,000 but his ignorance and arrogance made her double her price. The ground under her was considerably smaller now and Jade was not risking what would be a high profile job for nothing. The villainess waited in the cover of the parking garage across the street from the private entrance her target used. Her poison tipped throwing stars out and at the ready to take down the security personal that protected her prey.
This felt beneath her, she was a top assassin in the world, part of the League of Shadows and yet here she was as a hit for hire to some pompous crooked Star City business man that hopped to take over her targets company after he was gone. Normally Jade would not bother with such petty things but her bank account was starting to run low and she needed something to help support her and Lian until the next time so, here she was.
The green and black clad woman with the wild hair readjusted herself as she saw the door of the private entrance open, the thermal sensors in her mask showing a security detail of five. Cheshire stood from her position and took out five throwing stars and took aim. Once she had her direction she threw the stars, the sharp objects silently flying through the air and hitting their targets with precision. One by one the men slowly began to feel the effects of her poison and began to stumble, the signal that it was her time to move.
Grabbing a smokebomb from her belt Cheshire threw the bomb in the center of the men to create her cover and she left from the parking garage, pulling out her sais as she landed in the center of the circle of men and making quick work of the security guards. As the smoke slowly began to to clear Cheshire stood in the middle of the fallen bodies and looked at the now frightened man that was her target.
The man quickly cowered back, trying to scramble away but his fear was far to great and he was unable to move far and he began to cry and beg for his life. Cheshire held out one of her sais and pointed it in the mans direction. Easiest hundred grand I've ever made and she moved to strike.

God he was bored
True he had patience, more than most others on his team, but there were limits.
In his head he reviewed the mission that Waller had given him. She had tried to make it sound all big and important, and to her credit she made it sound good, but really it was pretty straight forward. Kill this guy, make it look like a metahuman had done it, which in turn would allow some other business man that Waller had leverage over to take over his interests and use the new found influx of capital to help bank roll a certain senator that would help shill her registration plans.
Murder, back room deals, and covert operations.
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Which was why he was now sitting in the drivers seat of a town car that belonged to his target. Jager had... "replaced" his normal driver. The plan was simple, when they guy came out of the club, pull up and once the target was in take off, then once he had ditched the security, set the frame up.
At least it was simple, until he heard a ruckus coming from the exit
"What the hell?" he muttered to himself as he lowered his skull mask over his face and hit the gas taking off for the back exit. As he rounded the corner he saw that the guys guards were down and the target himself was balling like a little baby as some chick in a cat mask was getting closer to him.
Jager realized what had happened here, and the chick in the cat mask looked a little familiar, but he couldn't quite place her. Not that it mattered she was going to be roadkill in a minute. Jager revved the engine and pealed toward her. As she was focused on the target,he kept going until he was almost upon her.
... and that's when he remembered where he recognized the mask from.
Sighing he adjusted at the last minute and hit the brakes bringing a car to screeching halt in between the target and the would be assassin.
As Jager got out the car, he saw a look of relief flash on the targets face, as Jager had his full gear and mask on. He clearly thought Jager was some sort of bodyguard.
"Thank you, you have to help me" he blubbered
" I really don't." Jager said with a sigh
"But your...."
"Not here to save you, i can tell you that much."
After that the man started crying again, and Jager calmly lifted his boot and kicked the guy square in the face, knocking him out and shutting him up for the time being. After that he unsheathed one of his knifes and then casually placed it and his arm on the top of the car as he turned to look over at the woman. "So... this is awkward." he began surprisingly casual " but it looks like someone double booked."
No doubt the business man that Waller was trying to position. After all if there's one thing he knew about the new boss...she didn't pay for something she could get for free.
"Now I'm really hoping that you got paid upfront like a good assassin, because if not I gotta be the bearer of bad news and tell you that I'm taking this guy with me and no doubt this is going to be a whole thing." he shrugged " I don't want it to be,but if you press this your going to force my hand."

”Please don’t kill me! I-I have money, I can pay you!”
Why did everyone always try to bribe the assassin? Some people tried to play on her mercy, saying they had a family blah blah blah. Jade didn’t care about any of that. She had her own family to worry about and that came first and always would but they all tried.
”What do you think I’m doing here? I wouldn’t just kill you for free”
Realization hit the man and he started pleading harder but she kept walking toward the cowering man, her blade coming up the closer she got so she could strike and be on her way and that’s when she heard it. The sound of a engine coming from behind her and by the sound of it coming fast. Cheshire turned and began to brace herself to jump to safety but the car swerved at the last minute and placed itself between her and her 100 grand pay off.
As the driver got out of the car and put her target down for the time being Cheshire watched him closely. Obviously he wasn’t here to help the guy and if he was he had a backwards way of doing it and she couldn’t recall any new heroes on the loose…Then again, there were so many of them now it was honestly hard to keep track but something about him was familiar and she would swear that she had seen him before. Regardless of why he was here and who he was he was getting in the way of her job and she didn’t like competition.
"So... this is awkward. But it looks like someone double booked."
Well, that answered her question of what he was doing here. Did her client not trust her to get the job done and sent another? That was just rude.
"Now I'm really hoping that you got paid upfront like a good assassin, because if not I gotta be the bearer of bad news and tell you that I'm taking this guy with me and no doubt this is going to be a whole thing. I don't want it to be,but if you press this your going to force my hand."
A large laugh came out of the female assassin ”Sorry, but he’s already got a date for tonight and I’m not one to share.” Did she get paid before hand? Of course she did but that was not the point, it was a matter of business and her reputation to get the job done. Crusher had always preached that you were only as good as your reputation. That nothing else mattered..not how good you were if you couldn’t be trusted to get the job done and her rep had taken a few blows already thanks to Roy and his meddling with her work. ”I’m sure you understand.” Something told her that he wasn’t just going to back away but, it had been awhile since she had a good fight so she could use the exercise.
