18th September 23:02 Monarch Casino
Invitations with clearly defined requests were not something that Ra’s Al Ghul or the League of Shadows normally takes on. Recently the Light had decided to recruit for a team similar to what the Justice League of America has. But the Light only wanted the best, anything less wasn’t good enough. Some people who had heard about these rumblings had taken it upon themselves to step forward for consideration for this new team. Others, whom had impressed or had been spoken highly of by a member of the Light received invitations. Either way, everyone had to prove themselves.
The invitation that the League of Shadows had received had been in regards to a certain assassin among their ranks - an assassin that had been put forth by Ra’s Al Ghul for the team that was being assembled by and for The Light. But within this invitation came certain requirements, requests if you like. But the requests of such invitation are ones that would happily be met, if the desired outcome was to happen; inclusion into the group.
Outside of the Casino, to its left, there was a small alleyway. For the most part, it was usually reserved for staff, dumping out the rubbish accumulated overtime by the guests within it. It was late at night, rather dark and there was a chill in the air. A few bits of litter were scattered about the alleyway, maybe even a mice or two were nearby, lurking. Nobody who walked past took any notice of the alleyway, and how could you? All the bright lights, the neon signs, the loud music, there was always something on display looking to grab your attention.
Down the alleyway, a sudden flash of pink coloured light that would grow in a matter of a few seconds. The pink spatial energy would expand into a circular shape, about six yards in diameter. Out from this portal would step three individuals; a female stood in front but between two males. The portal collapsed in on itself, and the energy drifted through the air to the right hand of the woman. Her hand glowed with the energy momentarily before resuming to normal. These three were the delegation that the League of Shadows had sent, among them whom the invitation was for. From there they proceeded into the Casino, and to the night club.
It was a rather loud affair within the night club, and that wasn’t just the music that thumped away. Everything about the place screamed loud; the dancing, the frantic multi-colored lighting, and so forth. The three League members would finally arrive, stepping into the club. In front of them, the dance floor filled with many people who were grinding and gyrating up against one another in a flirtatious manner. To one side, a bar, filled with just as many people attempting to get the attention of the bartenders in order to receive their alcohol. To the other side, seating for those who requested it, and usually the only other place apart from the dance floor that saw the transferal of drugs. Of course, for such a place the attire that was worn was very important to blend in; something explicitly stated on the invitation as The Light were very aware of how League of Shadows assassins carried themselves. Hooded tunics, balaclavas etc – they would stick out for sure in a place such as this. Hence why a change of attire was needed, and the two men sported smart-casual suit attires, whereas the girl was dressed in something that looked like this. Whilst the three would appear to blend in with the type of people the Las Vegas night life is meant for, it was key to remember that they were exceptionally skilled. Such a dress code didn’t allow for weapons, really, yet still if there was trouble ahead they were more than capable of holding their own.
“انتشرت خارج\”. The language; Arabic - the three needed some way to communicate with one another. It translates to mean; spread out. It was spoken by the female, Safira. The two male assassins bowed their heads slightly, and would each take off to scope the place out a little more. It was the usual modus operandi of assassins. Meanwhile Safira would make her way over towards where the bar was located. She took a seat up upon a stool at the bar, sat comfortably. Looking down the bar, the bartenders appeared to be serving others. No bother, there was no real desire to order right away anyway. Whether anyone could tell or not, Safira was not best pleased with these circumstances. This wasn’t a common situation that she found herself in, yet it was one she had to deal with in order to please Ra’s Al Ghuls wishes. Sat back in her chair, Safira glanced over to one of those that she arrived with. Looking on as he made his way through a crowd of people; looking for where a nearby exit may be, probably. Safira then turned back towards the bar, tapping the table top with one hand over and over again, bored, really. Hopefully whoever it is that she is supposed to be meeting shows up before her patience wears out.

Tonight suit was a light grey with a white shirt, still no tie because he never like the thought of wrapping a free noose around his neck. he had been flitting around various people that knew him (or at least a version of him) making the round doing a little bit glad handling all while waiting for his night to really begin.
Despite whatever image he cultivated amongst those that knew him, he was often early to most things. While he was not naive enough to believe that early bird got the worm, he had learned overtime that early wolf often avoided the traps and killed the hunter. Such was the case tonight as he was in the midst of the crowd inside the club when it happened.Once upon a time he had been perusing the discovery channel and they had talked about when a lion made his way to the watering hole, there was a subtle shift in other animals there. Some left, others became very cautious. It had been interesting then and it was interesting now as he watched a subtle ripple across the club, as the people were subconsciously moving closer to each other, grouping as if they knew something was off but couldn't figure out what. Of course, Jäger was not most people, he knew exactly what it was as he watched the three of them come in.
He chuckled at this, sometimes it was the little things.
There was little doubt they were League of Assassins though he hoped they were being obvious fro his benefit, because if not he really thought they were really missing the whole point of being an assassin. However he continued to watch a little bit more in their movements before he glanced at his watch and decided it was time. So he made his way through the crowd and around the side, coming close to the exit of the club before taking a breath and the turning back around completing the circuit seeming as if he had just walked in. With that he re-entered the nightclub stopping off at the bar to fetch two drinks before coming around and taking a seat by Safira as he placed her drink down in front of her. It was bright red concoction in a martini glass as he spoke
"It's called a Bullseye, a mixture off whiskey, cinnamon schnaps, club soda and a little lemon juice. Thus its considered both a strong drink and a girly one, which I figured was an appropriate symbolism for you. Though I'd drink up if I were you, we won't be here long." he gave what might have passed for a smile as he then held out his hand " Hello there Safira."

Safira had missed catching a glimpse of Jäger whilst he moved through the crowd. She didn’t catch his face, and though while she did look out into the crowd he would appear to have been a nobody like the rest of them at that time. It was only when he approached with the drinks that she actually knew it was him, she couldn’t be sure, but something just clicked. Perhaps it was the air of confidence he seemed to have about him as he walked over, that must have been it. Those who work for The Light never lacked in confidence, they usually had plenty to spare.
Whilst Jäger went on to describe what made up the beverages that he had brought over. Safira’s attention was elsewhere, with one of her colleagues. League Assassins needed only to share a look between them, and nothing more to understand the situation at hand. He would proceed to meet with the other assassin, as Safira had met with the relevant contact and it appeared as though there would be no problems. It wasn’t an invitation for either one to retire from their post, but they could relax, for now.
“Hey”. A simple reply is all that Safira offered in return, whilst also returning her gaze towards Jäger as a faint smile appeared upon her face whilst she shook hands with perhaps her new comrade. Even though she had been less focused on Jäger for the past few moments, she still grasped everything that he had said, including greetings. Bullseye seemed an oddly appropriate choice of a drink for an assassin. Was it made by mistake? Somehow Safira doubted that. Brushing her hair back ever so slightly with her right hand, she looked down towards the drink offered. She gripped the glass, holding it up as she took a small sip of the concoction that Jäger had presented her with. Turned out it was actually pretty nice, and yes it was rather strong. Delaying taking another sip, Safira offered Jäger a remark that brought about a playful remark. “I thought you had to buy a girl a few more drinks before she’s willing to go home with you?”. It was only meant in jest, and it prompted another opportunity thereafter for Safira to have another taste of the bright red bullseye.
“So what do you have planned for me? Something challenging I hope, and fun”. The invitation offered some insight into how the meeting would hence forth proceed. An act of fighting, against another meta. Fortunately it favored Safira’s chosen line of work rather well; it was something that wouldn’t draw any complaints or hesitation from Safira despite not exactly being dressed for combat. Or maybe Jäger would opt for something else, a different type of test. After all, the fact that Safira was with the League of Shadows surely was enough to put to bed any doubt over whether a potential recruit had the capability to take away a life.

Jager chuckled at her remark a he took a pull from his own drink and dark vaguely orange clouded concoction known as an Incognito. As she asked what was next, he merely smiled and said “ Something like that, right now we’re in...let’s call it the meet and greet stage of the evening.” He gestured “ That’s why I chose this as the place to meet, because no one really looks twice at people like us and it gives you a chance to get a little liquid courage in you before the rest of the evening begins.” he took another sip of his drink to let his words sink before he continued “ Where we’re headed after this is where the bulk of tonight's…festivities are going to be held. So just let me know when you're ready or if you have any other questions before I throw you into the deep end.” He then gave a slight nod of his head as he said “ You can even bring your two friends if you’d like as I’m sure that The Great One has taught them both the meaning of the word discretion.” he said with a small laugh as he awaited her reply.

Discretion was something all of those within the League of Shadows knew a great deal about. They were used to being discreet, blending in with their surroundings. But a night club, that was one place not many had much experience in. After all, not many with a bounty upon their heads spend their time partying. Safira would say nothing as Jäger really offered only a small glimpse into what tonight’s festivities were about. It presented an opportunity for Safira to try the ‘Bullseye’ once more, then again, and again until there wasn’t too much remaining at the bottom of the glass. But that would be spared, as Jäger took a slight jab at Safira’s two associates – both of whom kept their distance across the club. “They are not here by choice”.
“A safeguard ordered by Ra’s, to protect his ‘investment’ – me. I understand why he decided to have them tag along, after all. Don’t your party games usually result in the loser facing up to their own mortality?”. It certainly made things just that little more interesting, perhaps more challenging. When one’s life hangs in the balance, it pushes them on to do more in order to survive, bringing out characteristics in people that before may of seemed alien. It was… exciting. “But like I said, they’re not here for my own benefit. ‘Cause I always win”. Safira would smile, she had all the confidence in the World in herself that she would prevail in what it was that Jäger had planned. Failure was not an option, and one thing Ra’s Al Ghul doesn’t tolerate either.
“I do have a few questions though, like… what’s this squad about, anyway? Ra’s didn’t clue me in to much about that. Nor did he say much about you”. Jäger himself had not shared much about himself. Chances were that he knew more about Safira than he would be willing to divulge about himself. “And I am guessing there is more to you than the party-boy look suggests”. That would be when Safira would take hold of the glass once more, undecided of whether or not to finish up this ‘Bullseye’. Up until now all she knew about Jäger was based upon the judgements that she had made about him thus far, based on the way he looked, spoke and acted. But somehow, there was the feeling that there was more to him than that.

“Well you certainly don’t lack for confidence do you?" he said with a laugh as he continued “ then again i suppose if you did then you wouldn't be here now would you?” his eyebrow briefly lifted as he then tilted the glass back and finished off his drink in a long gulp. As he heard her other questions he chuckled and bridged his hands as he tilted his head for a moment and then answered “ Do you know the purpose of secret societies? Of an kind? There are a lot of responses and ideas out there, but at the end of the day the main reason they exist, is to keep secrets. There’s an old saying that three can keep a secret if two are dead, but I think that’s not quite true, plenty of people can keep your secret if you have a secret of theirs.” “That’s why you're here Safira to learn a secret that few know, the squad is that secret and you’ll know that particular secret before the end of tonight that I promise you, however confidence will only get you so far...patience will get you the rest of the way.” He then stood up and said “ As for me, you got it one there Ace, there’s much more to me than meets the eye but this party-boy look as you call it is as good as any mask around here, and whats behind that ask..well that’s less of secret as it a surprise. Now,” he paused and got up and though his smile still remained there was a slight shift and straightening in his posture and his voice gained an edge of command to it as he gestured out of the club “ Let’s get going, we’re burning moonlight and your now officially on my time.” as he began to walk, figuring she’d follow, after all there are few lures better than secrets...

Secrets were perhaps the best lure anyone could possibly come up with. If you can come up with a mystery about yourself, then you can have others eating out of the palm of your hand. In a way, Jäger had done this rather well. He wasn’t exactly the most forthcoming with his answers to what Safira had asked, and it only made the assassin that tiny bit more intrigued. He could’ve skipped the lecture on secrets mind you, that’s another thing that Ra’s Al Ghul doesn’t tolerate; blabber mouths.
Jäger walking away signaled the end of this social drinking activity. Safira would finish off the drink she had in hand, before getting up off the stool to follow. She didn’t follow right away however; instead she looked to one of her associates and would ever so subtly nod towards him. Safira then quickened her pace in order to make up some ground with following Jäger. The two League Assassins would follow behind, keeping their distance to a degree. It was time for the grand unveiling of what was in store for Safira, and whilst you wouldn’t be at all able to tell from the look on her face. Safira was a bit giddy inside with excitement, finding out a secret was one of the few things an assassin had left to get excited about.

He made his quickly out of the nightclub and back into the casino floor as he briefly glanced back as he saw Safira had caught up, and then he continued to lead until the ended up by the front desk of the casino as he quickly stepped up to the concierge desk and slid a card across the desk to the concierge. It looked like a typical playing card, The Queen of Diamonds to be specific, however if you were paying attention you would notice that the red of the card was darker than a usual playing card, almost the color of blood. Also in place of the queens face was a stylized skull. The concierge briefly looked at it and then looked back up saying “.. and what limit would you like tonight sir?”
“Oh I’m going all in.” Jager said replying with the counter password
“Very good sir.” the concierge turned and then opened a door behind him marked Employee’s Only. Leading the pair into a small room that almost could have passed for a coat closet, except that in the back there was an elevator door that opened up as Jager stepped inside waiting for Safira to join him. Once she had the concierge turned and left. As he reopened the door Jager briefly caught sight of the two other that had still been following them and couldn’t help but wave at them as he hit the button and the elevator door closed swiftly as they began their descent down.
“Maaay have fibbed a little when I said your friends could join us, but the next parts a little bit members only.” He said with a shrug as leaned on the back wall of the elevator “but I’m sure they'll find their way down eventually.” he said mysteriously letting that hang there as he then tossed her the Playing Card and said “ Oh by the way this is yours, I wouldn’t lose that if I were you.”
The elevator gave a ding as it reached it’s final destination and opened up to an expansive receiving room that was all Italian marble and velvet carpeting. Off to right there several well dressed people sitting down and dining on beautiful looking meals prepared by the chefs in an open air kitchen. To the left there was a a large bar, that held a myriad of alcohol, including the standard bottles as well as some that looked ancient housed in clay jars and others that were encased in slim and sleek silver canisters with foreign alien writing on it. Though all this was merely the window dressing for whatever lay further ahead ahead as you could hear the shouts and cries, and the grunts of pain and the thuds of body blows as clearly there was something quite entertaining was happening wherever it lead.
“Welcome to the Dark Side Club.” Jager said as he stepped off the elevator

Secrets just kept on coming. Jäger dealt with the dialogue with the Concierge, whilst Safira merely stood to one side and simply observed what was taking place. A playing card, and then a select choice of words; it was apparent to anyone in the business of secrets that this was some sort of passcode to enter where Jäger planned to take Safira. ‘Oh, I’m going all in’ – somehow Safira felt at though she would be hearing that phrase a lot. Everything seemed well, and the concierge moved to open a door just behind him that was marked; ‘employee’s only’. Interesting. Safira would wait for Jäger to move first, and then followed closely behind as she had done so up until this point. The concierge gave her an odd look as Safira passed by, but she thought nothing of it. Perhaps he was clued in to what awaits, who knew.
Safira would follow Jäger into the elevator, and caught a slight glimpse of the two assassins who had accompanied her. But this was as far as the two League assassins were going to come. Safira would tilt her head slightly, a nod, and the two assassins could be seen turning to leave as the door for employees drew to a close, followed then by the doors of the elevator sliding shut. “I’m sure I can handle myself”. Safira would say back in response of Jäger as he commented on the League’s assassins effectively being left out in the cold. It wasn’t a problem, them being left behind. They were only there to report back to Ra’s Al Ghul with the results of tonight – a task that Safira was capable of doing herself if need be. Jäger would then toss the playing card up in the air, and Safira lashed out, snatching it out of the air. With it in hand she had a few moments to further analyse it herself, a chance to see that it was a slightly modified version of the Queen of Diamonds. The differences were quite subtle really, subtle for a reason; no doubt.
Ding.
The elevator would then open, and it was some sight to behold. Safira said nothing, and did nothing as she stepped out from the elevator. She would only avert her gaze around the place to take in her new surroundings. It was nothing like she had expected. What she had expected was some sort of cage like structure that two would enter, and fight to the death. On the outside, a flood of bloodthirsty individuals, all loud, clambering to see who would be declared victory with some even placing large bets on the festivities. She couldn’t have been more wrong. It was a much more elegant setting from the looks of things. The sound of grunts, shouts and cries could be heard coming from further within the Dark Side Club. A smile appeared on the face of Safira, no doubt those sounds came from where Safira and Jäger were headed. "Sounds like home".

At her last remark Jager smirked and continued on as they made their way from the front chambers and through the open archaway. On the other side it was as if someone had shrunk down the roman Colosseum as in the center of it was stone, sand and blood as two combatants duked it out in the ring. The outer rings were seating except instead of stone seating there was plush seating and those roaring in the crowd looked more like they were dressed for an evening at the theater than a bloodsport. On the far edge there were others placing bets on the matches to come. He let her take it all for a bit before gesturing and saying " Come on we've got a private box." then leading her to a small alcove and up a flight or two of winding stairs, Finally getting to the door.
Jager placed his hand to the side of the door and there was a whir and beep and finally the door swung open. Inside was just like any other private sports box. It had a fuly stocked wet bar, and several leather sofas and chairs all facing a big screen tv broadcasting the fight still in progress in HD. Continuing further into the room there was a viewing area with some more chairs and glass looking out into the arena. Jager went to the glass and looked out int the area. Then he touched the glass and it came to life as touch display as brackets and pictures came up on the wall.
"We usually keep the last matches of the night open so we can mix and match." he said as suddenly safira's picture pooped up on the screen and he dragged it into the bracket " Now let's see what we have tonight." another list of pictures came up as he scrolled through until he saw one that seemed to amuse him "Ah,Tina should do nicely."
He dragged a picture of a rather nondescript blonde girl up against safira's picture as then filled the slot for the next match. He then sat down in the chair and gestured toward another chair as he continued " We've got a bit of time before your match, so while we have that time I have a few questions for you Safira."
He then held up a hand and said " Also before I ask these questions, let me tell you one thing. I assume that you probably have some job interview-eque answered prepared to whatever questions I ask and that's great if not boring. It's for those reasons that I can honestly tell you that the questions I ask you aren't ones I've asked anyone else that's gotten to this point. So what I ask you to do is answer truthfully and honestly. Also, if your going to lie , lie well...because if you do lie and any of us find out about it later, then it'll be very painful for you."
The smile he flashed held no warm as he continued " Got it? Good! Now first question, why do want this gig?"

Whilst Safira did want to take a few moments to take in all of the surroundings that Jäger lead her past, she knew it was wise to remain close and therefore didn’t spend time dawdling. After all, soon she would be a member of this club. That’s when there will be all the time in the world for Safira to explore her surroundings. As they moved through the place, they soon came close to what appeared to be something of a colosseum. Undoubtedly this would be the battleground of which Safira would be making her debut in a little later on tonight. It was quite the grand atmosphere, spectators aplenty that watched on for either entertainment or sport at two individuals beat one another to a bloody pulp. It seemed to be quite the intimidating atmosphere, but perhaps that will change when it actually comes to Safira’s turn to step out in front of everyone. Then it shouldn’t be as intimidating, perhaps may even spur her on to try harder.
But they didn’t spend too much time looking on. Jäger led Safira away towards an alcove, and up a few sets of stairs before they arrived outside a door. In no time was it opened, to reveal a private box found normally at sport stadiums that overlooked the fight down below. “So this is how the Light spends its funding…”. This, and everything before had seemed to only spell out one word; luxury. The Light seemed mighty fond of making their facilities luxurious, and Safira got the feeling that Jäger shared that taste as well. Safira watched her step as she walked through, following Jäger over towards the glass that facilitated for those who would perhaps prefer to look at the fight themselves, rather than be glued to a screen.
But it wasn’t just glass, as a holographic touch display appeared as Jäger went about booking Safira into tonight’s proceedings. Safira didn’t pay too much attention to this, at least not until Jäger had named her an opponent; Tina. From the looks of the girl, Safira more than fancied her chances against her. She didn’t appear to be someone who could pose any sort of threat. But then again, appearances were made to be deceptive. The very same could be said if you were to judge Safira by only her appearance.
Jäger had then moved to take a seat down in one of the terribly comfy looking chairs in the room and gestured for Safira to join him. She did so, moving to take a seat on one of the leather sofas situated within the sports box. Without a crowd of nobodies surrounding them, Safira began to feel a lot more comfortable as she took a seat. She sat with her right leg crossed over the left, with one hand resting on the arm rest and the other on her right thigh. Jäger wanted to conduct some sort of interview ahead of the scheduled fight, which was fine. It seemed to be rather important that Safira answer these questions with truthful, honest answers. Lying was an option, and being an assassin you would expect Safira to be good at this. It was made abundantly clear what the repercussions of being found out to have lied, but even before that had Safira ruled out doing so. She had nothing to hide, so why not be honest?
“Two reasons”. Safira said, followed by a short pause. “The first being because that’s what Ra’s wants, pretty simple, right? I don’t know how much you know about Ra’s Al Ghul, or whether you have had the pleasure of meeting him, but. From experience I can tell you that if Ra’s wants you to do something, you do it. The consequences of not doing so aren’t worth thinking about”. Death would be the punishment for failure, or exile. Between the two, death was Safira’s preference. “Perhaps I should think of it as an honour. Out of everyone who Ra’s could have elected to put forth as his representative, he decided to show his faith in me. Repaying that faith is reason enough for me to want this gig”. There was however more to it, as she went on to explain. “Then the second reason is that there are times, when I need a break away from the Shadows - and your Squad seems to fit the bill. The Shadows aren’t exactly known for being the most entertaining group, I can only assume you and your friends offer a bit more in that department”. Safira said as a smirk appeared on her face momentarily. Next question.

Jager listened to her answer with attentiveness and at the last part of her answer he couldn't help but give a chuckle and smirk as he said " Oh you have no idea. This gig is demanding to say the least, but when we're not on the job we're given quite deal of leeway with our down time. We're quite an ....entertaining group." He paused for a little bit after that and briefly looked down at the match that was still in progress. After a few minnutes passed he then continued " Picture, if you will, a room. In this room is you, your family, friends, anyone you hold dear. Suddenly a fire starts in the room and its spread rapidly, very quickly consuming most of the room."
He held up a finger as he continued the scenario. " Now you see an exit, however you realize that it's too smalll for you all to fit, and you have only enough time to save one person before the fire consumes you all." he paused for effect and said " So the question is, who do you save? Or do you ave anyone at all?"

Safira’s attention too had been grabbed by that of the match going down inside the arena. She remained still somewhat in the dark about this fight, its rules and whatnot. And with a contest taking place, Safira was most certainly a keen observer. She did listen out for Jager, who eventually asked a rather interesting question. ”I save Ra’s Al Ghul”. Safira would say instantaneously in response to the question. It needed no thought. ”Then, if possible, I would look to save myself”. She added. It was testament to the loyalty she had towards Ra’s Al Ghul. Safira felt as though she owed Ra’s Al Ghul and the League of Shadows everything, and thus would show know hesitance or reluctant in laying down her life to ensure the survival of the Demon Head. Ensuring the life of Ra’s Al Ghul was always of most importance, even with the Lazarus Pit available.
Eventually Safira turned her gaze back towards Jager. She had a focused look about her, her mind on the upcoming bout that Jager had booked her in. ”I’m not sure what response you were looking for, but you’ve probably asked the wrong person”. Needless to say, the people who would occupy the room in that metaphorical situation were all assassins; most of which served the League, and thus would be willing to give their life if necessary for the Demon’s Head.
”So, what’s the deal with this match I have coming up anyway? Do I like, have to kill my opponent? Do I even get a weapon?“. The only stupid question, is the one that has not been asked. ”Cause, y’know… kinda hard to conceal a weapon in this dress”. Safira added, a playful tone about it, but her statement remained true. It was all down to the meeting place that Jager seemed so keen on. A certain dress code was required, and unfortunately it did not include a quiver or a bow. Not that Safira had a problem with this, eliminating a target with her bare hands wasn't alien to her.

Jager laughed as he said " I wasn't looking for a specific response, just curious as to where yoour head is at, that's all. Despite what you may think Safira, there are no wrong answers to these questions, but they do help me understand you better and see if you'll mesh with other....personalities on this team. Helps me see whether you'll end up an asset or a corpse. It's an important step in any working relationship" he shrugged " However onto this match that will be coming up. Given your opponents rather unique abilities, you will be provided a weapon. This match your going to have serves three purposes."
He held up a finger " The first is that Tina has also reached a point that she is being considered to ascend past the Dark Side Club. So this serves as a sort of tryout, the winner of this match of course getting the prize." He held up a second finger " The second reason is to test your abilites in a high pressure situation, because" he then chuckled " and no offense to your craft, but we already have an assassin, your here for what you can offer besides that and we need to see that if the chips are down you can deliver. The last and final reason is more of an answer to the age old question concerning irresistible forces meeting immovable objects."
"So as to your other question, no you don't have to kill your opponent, but before you consider mercy, remember that you stand in the way of a goal she's dropped a lot of bodies for." Jager gave a small smile " I promise you, she will not hesitate to kill you."

Hearing that a weapon would be provided did certainly bring a smile to the face of the teleporting assassin. There was a sense of relief that came over her, as without a weapon she honestly felt a little naked – that’s what you get for carrying a weapon since being a young teenage. Going by the nature of the festivities that would be going on, it is safe to say that whatever weapon that would be provided would certainly be up to task. It seemed the audience around here were a bloodthirsty bunch, and undoubtedly that taste would be quenched tonight. Here’s hoping for a blade of some sort.
Then Jager provided Safira with a little insight into her opponent; Tina. While a lot remained unknown about Tina (her powers to be exact); a few things were made very clear. This girl was dangerous, and determined. It’s quite the mix, and now Safira was being put in front of her crosshairs. Clearly Tina had built up some reputation too, having got this far. But, a reputation only goes so far, it doesn’t guarantee victory. What does assure victory more often than not is the tutelage of Ra’s Al Ghul.
”Good to know”. Safira would say in reply. ”It’s a lot easier to kill someone when you know the feeling is mutual”. It was also a source of motivation. When you know someone wants nothing more than for you to die, then you try that little bit harder. ”I wonder who you want to win though…”. Safira would say, looking to Jager with a look of curiosity about her. ”You get a teammate either way, sure. But is Tina worth having a Demon breathing down your neck? Probably not”. Just as those who served the Demon was loyal, Ra’s was loyal to his servants – particularly his more prized assets of which Safira was one. Sure, Tina would join the Squad. But she would gain a death warrant on her head, and Jager would have a Demon Head fully expecting him to do something about it. ”You should… probably warn Tina about that, right? Give her a choice. I can promise that death by my hand is a lot more merciful”. She added. In a way it was a bit of a mind game, perhaps seeing whether Jager could be manipulated into making this contest a little more one sided. Not that it was needed, but as much as Jager was getting a ’feel’ for a possible new recruit – Safira was getting a ‘feel’ for perhaps her new teammate.
