7 (16 Physiologically). Hero
-------------------------------------------------------------------
ALIAS(ES): Superboy
BIRTHDAY: March 21st, 2010
BIRTHPLACE: Washington D.C.
CURRENT:
Mount Justice
FAMILY:
• Mother: N/A
• Father: N/A
• Adopted Family: Clark Kent aka Superman, 39
ALLIANCE: The Team
RANK: Member of the Team (Jobber )
POWER:
•Kryptonian physiology: As a partial genetic clone of Superman, he has most of the physical abilities of a Kryptonian who has absorbed the solar energy of a yellow sun. However, due to the human DNA supplied by Lex Luthor, he lacks the more advanced powers of flight and heat vision and presumably is incapable of ever acquiring them.[8] In addition, his existing powers are considerably inferior to Superman's.
•Super strength: This is one of Superboy's main abilities, allowing him to easily pick up or carry heavy objects.
•Super leap: To compensate for his inability to fly like Superman, Superboy uses the super-strong muscles in his legs to jump incredible distances and heights.
•Invulnerability: Like Superman, Superboy is nearly indestructible. This invulnerability allows him to rush into dangerous scenes with little care for what might actually happen. Out of all his teammates, Superboy has taken the most punishment from their missions but has displayed no lasting injuries. He has been tackled through walls, shot with guns and explosives, had his feet dipped in lava, and has come out with no obvious physical damage. He has yet to be permanently injured, but he does experience pain.
•Super hearing: Superboy can pick up the faintest of sounds over long distances, as well as high frequencies not audible to regular humans.
•Infrared vision: This ability allows Superboy to visually detect heat signatures, allowing him to easily see in the dark.
ABILITIES:
•Hand-to-hand combatant: While normally relying on his sheer strength, Superboy has developed highly proficient combat skills from his training under Black Canary. He is especially good at grappling and takedowns. By 2017, he had taken an active role in training newer members of the Team.
•Genomorph programming: While Superboy was being force grown, G-Gnomes telepathically fed him information in lieu of a traditional education: Superboy can understand and speak many languages outside of English. He is at least fluent in Spanish, Atlantean, French, Korean, Arabic and Russian, among other languages.
BLOOD TYPE: Unknown
ORIENTATION: Hetero
PET: Wolf, Sphere
SCARS AND MARKINGS: N/A
COLOR(S): Black, Red
UNIFORM: Superboy dislikes 'Monkey Suits'; his uniform, hell his daily wardrobe, typically consists of a simple black T-Shirt with the Super "S" emblazoned on the front, jeans, and combat boots. As he's matured his uniform has evolved somewhat, changing from a T-Shirt to a long-sleeved shirt along with the addition of finger-less gloves. The jeans and combat boots still haven't gone anywhere.
DESCRIPTION:
As a partial clone of Superman, Superboy shares many of his traits. His hair is dark brown and sports an infuriating cow-lick at the top of his forehead that always results in a rebellious bristle, akin to Clark's iconic 'curl'. Even his blue eyes are remarkably similar, if not identical, to Superman's. Though his body will never age as a side-effect of the cloning process, Superboy's development reached the peak of his youth before he was released. He stands at 5'10", but his naturally thick and muscular physique gives the impression that he is bigger than he actually is (unless he's standing next to someone who is actually huge, like Superman). In his earlier years Superboy never smiled much; in fact he frowned more often than he made any other facial expression. Luckily over the last seven years Superboy has mellowed out and cheered up a bit. That doesn't mean he smiles very much, of course, you're just less likely to find him listlessly brooding. As much as he may have matured, however, his wardrobe has not. He still fails to distinguish between his uniform and his everyday clothing, to the point that its a miracle no one has managed to figure out his identity yet.
PLAY-BY: Sean Faris (I know the last guy used him, but damn he looks good!)

FEAR: In spite of all his strength and as much as he might deny it, Conner will never forget the fact that he is a clone, and like a canker that fact will always remind him that at one point his Fate was not his own. Were it not for the fortuitous intervention of The Team, Conner may very well still be the brainwashed slave of The Light this very day. When Conner is at his lowest, that is the thing he fears most: the complete and utter loss of control over himself and his destiny. In others such a fear may be unwarranted; everyone fears the unknown at some point in their life after all. For Conner, that fear is very, very real. Already he was discovered to have Code Phrases implanted in his mind to control his actions. What else could be waiting, poised to strike and steal his life when he least expects it?
DESIRE: Having only been 'born' seven years ago, Conner's track record for attaining his dream is pretty dang good. Having long desired to gain Superman's acknowledgement, for no other reason than his own confused grasping for a semblance of familial relation, the fact that he now called himself Conner Kent spoke for itself in that regard. However, with that mantle came a hefty responsibility, even if it was self-imposed. In many ways Conner still wishes to be like Superman, but unlike his haphazard desire to prove himself by any means necessary Conner's dreams have matured along with the rest of his mind. He wants to be his own hero, but not at the cost of his new family's good name.
HABITS: Conner seems like the sort to deal with downtime poorly, but in reality he is excellent at finding ways to 'fill the silence', either by finding work to do or simply occupying his mind. Though he has more self-control bad habits die hard, and when he is panicked or confused he still tends to charge in without thinking.
PET PEEVE: Despite his newly found self-control, Conner still greatly dislikes the invasive use of telepathy, especially on himself. He's unlikely to say anything in a combat situation where it's use may necessary, but he knows excessive force when he sees it.
STRENGTHS:
• Unflappable - In terms of sheer temerity, Conner is probably unrivaled. Even in the face of revelations that would have crushed the wills of lesser men, Conner not only refused to give in but he came back swinging and all the better for it. It takes a lot to put Conner down, and even once he's down he always bounces back...eventually.
• Diligence - It took a long time for Conner to realize that putting forth an effort doesn't always guarantee an immediate result, or even a result at all. Now, as time has imparted Conner with a bit of wisdom to temper his confidence, he has come to realize that being a hero is more than just an accolade or a personal goal: its a way of life.
WEAKNESSES:
• Kryptonite - One can't talk about the weaknesses of a Kryptonian without mentioning their namesake, glowing green mineral. Even as a genomorph with only a portion of Superman's DNA, Conner is fully vulnerable to the stuff.
• Temper - Self-control only goes as far as you take it yourself, and sometimes Conner forgets to bring it all the way. Though he is careful to use his intelligence to try and compensate for his deficits, setbacks can frustrate him to the point of losing his temper. Once that happens, its just like seven years ago.
TRAITS:
At his core, Superboy is a man of conflict; not just in his way of life, but in his personality. Thrust into the world fully-grown, Superboy has never known what it is like to be free of the burden of responsibility or to live carefree. He was born in the shadow of another man, compelled to be like him but always falling short. Over time he has come to terms with this desire, both through his own introspection and through reconciling with Superman himself, but this has left Conner with a new problem. His desire to be a hero has grown only stronger, but it has not diminished his temper nor his haphazard tendency to rely on his powers over his skill. He strives towards self-control, and in comparison to seven years ago he almost a completely different person: quiet but approachable, open to criticism, dedicated to self-improvement. Yet in spite of these changes, he remains a ticking time bomb, always in danger of going off when his breakneck desire to be great gets the better of him. His temerity can take him only so far in the face of repeated failure before self-doubt rears it's ugly head and lights the fuse. Ultimately, though Superboy is more than a mindless berserker now, his temper still serves to hinder him more often than anything else.

HISTORY:
<INSERT EVENTS FROM 'Young Justice Seasons 1 and 2' HERE>
In the days following the defeat of Reach and Wally's death, Superboy found the Watchtower becoming less and less busy. There was always work to be done, sure, but none of it ever had the same weight of urgency as the threat of The Light or the Reach invasion. Worse still, as the team did their best to move on from the tragic loss of Kid Flash, Superboy's thoughts lingered on him. They hadn't been particularly close as teammates, but as he had more time to think Conner began to realize that they had been very similar in some ways. Both of them had an idol they aspired to but fell short of, yet Wally had never been held back or run down by his limitations. His sacrifice had left a lasting impression on Superboy, and kindled his desire to stop clinging to his origin as a clone and instead forge ahead as his own hero. Unfortunately, in the first few weeks following that realization Conner ended up more confused than anything else. He'd spent literally his entire life measuring himself against Superman's legacy; throwing that yardstick away left him feeling almost empty. To make matters worse, the incident with Wally had also made some of his previous decisions seem foolish and short-sighted. As much as he'd tried to move on, he couldn't deny that M'gann had changed since their somewhat messy breakup, and if that night at Wally's memorial was any indication she hadn't quite moved on from him either. Still, the fact that the breakup had been his idea in the first place combined with his bad memories of what had caused it made him hesitant.
When things finally came to a head, Conner decided to take a leave of absence from the team to work solo for a while. He'd never worked solo after all, and he felt that doing so would give him time to sort himself out. Upon leaving the Watchtower Superboy began travelling, unwilling to set up shop in any one place. After all, the cities he'd called home were already well taken care of, and despite his encyclopedic knowledge of the world he'd seen relatively little of it with his own eyes. For the next several months Conner traveled the world, taking in the sights and fighting crime wherever he found it. Several times he encountered heroes along the way, both familiar names and people he'd never heard of, and each of them was a glimpse into what made heroes tick. By the time he'd circled the globe Conner felt more at peace with himself. The images in his head of foreign places didn't feel so out of place with his own memories surrounding them, and with the perspective of so many other heroes fresh in his mind Conner knew how to best apply himself. He eagerly returned to the Watchtower and re-enrolled in college, ready and willing to take up his place on Alpha Team and be the best he could be.

RP SAMPLE:
Night was falling. Though it was slightly overcast, Conner could just barely see the dimming light of the sun as it sank towards the horizon, what little light there was further diminished by the surrounding redwoods. He probably miles from civilization by now; he hadn't bothered trying to keep track once he'd left the road. The small fire he'd managed to put together was letting up a trail of smoke that danced in the breeze and smelled of pine needles. Nearby, Wolf was pawing at the roots of a tree and shoving his oversized nose into the dirt, most likely trying to get at some small animal in hiding. Conner hadn't ever really done anything like this before, getting out in a place where he was all alone. Well, Wolf was there, but he didn't really count. Out here it was quiet, serene. No car motors, no sirens, no screaming or chatter. Even Conner's super-hearing was picking up nothing but the sounds of nature. It was oddly soothing in a way he'd never experienced.
Laying down on his back, Conner watched as the stars began to peek out one by one, his infravision picking out the satellites and planes with ease. It turned out the Watchtower was actually overhead as well, and he surprised himself by smiling up at it. "Heh. Whaddya know. I guess absence really does make the heart grow fonder." Attracted by the sound of Conner voice, Wolf abandoned his game and padded alongside Conner, shoving his dirty nose in Conner's face by way of inspection, causing the young hero to sputter and push the oversized wolf away. "Augh come on!" He shot Wolf a dirty look, knowing full well that Wolf was smart enough to know what he was doing. On his side, Wolf pointedly flopped onto the dead tree needles and began licking himself, ignoring Conner altogether. Again, Conner was almost surprised to find himself smiling instead of frowning. What was it about this place, about the places he'd been, that made him feel so much happier?
Night had fallen completely now, and it was pitch black save for the stars overhead and the light of his own fire. Out in the forest, he could still hear sounds of animals wandering about alongside the sounds of nocturnal creatures waking up. One of those sounds was definitely a bear, but it was a ways off and even if it were close enough to wander up on Conner and Wolf, it wasn't a threat. He looked back up at the Watchtower as it floated by, a seemingly stationary speck of light in the sky. The smile on Conner's face was gone, but he wasn't frowning. Instead, he was resolute. He'd been gone for a long time now, or at least it felt like it had been a long time. Even he had been surprised by how much a simple vacation had given him some perspective, both on who he was and who he wanted to be. It had been enough. Conner held up a hand, staring at his palm as he made a fist, feeling the muscles tensing in his forearm. He needed to get back in the action. Wolf grumbled idly as if he was reading Conner's mind, and the young clone had to smirk at himself. Who was he kidding? It wasn't the action he missed: it was his family.
