Katt chuckled a little at Zatanna's statement, she couldn't really argue that. Right, I almost forgot. She teased, she almost suggested that they make a girl time date but thought against it. Now wasn't the time. Hydracat began to follow Zatanna once more, this time being more on alert in case of any more surprise attacks, not in any hurry to have that experience again tonight. "Why? You were following a lead, they can't be mad at you for that." That was something she did not miss, being under the constant microscope of the League. One slip up and you went through a gauntlet of disapproving looks and lectures.
Before she knew it they were coming up on two more thieves and this time Katt was ready. Holding out her arm she concentrated on the water that was in a nearby drinking fountain, the fountain began to shake before the pipes inside burst and the water flowed to Katts hand and wrapped around the womans arm. Get him! Hydracat didn't need to be told twice and she zeroed in on the man. Got it! She said to let Zatanna know she understood and that it was going to be handled before jumping in to attack the man. She had some pay back to dish out.

It was Batman's case and there were a hundred and one reasons to be angry at her. Oliver Queen's main headquarter's now had a lot of collateral damage and she technically hadn't stopped anyone yet. On top of that, Katt's injuries were things the League took rather serious. Civilians were top priority and whether she considered herself one or not, Katherine was a civilian now.
These were all concerns that had to wait. Right now, it was battle time and she really had to keep her head in the game. The watery girl was melting and pooling and Zatanna knew that wasn't any good. A second ice spell froze the quickly melting liquids and added a second layer of ice. Her eyes shifted to Katt as she went against the other man. He attacked with waterballs, probably expecting a poor result like with the others that had been her backup but that wasn't going to be the case this time. Katt was fine with aqua attacks.
She was the ace in the hole.
Meanwhile, the liquid woman seemed completely encased in ice. "Meti uoy elots ni ym sdnah," she commanded just for a weird device to appear in her hands. Zatanna wasn't even sure what she looking at. She stared at it for a moment until water started straying on her face. Her eyes looked up to see all the water from the fire extinguishers gushing out. Something told her something bad was going to happen soon.

The water settled in her hands as she jumped into the attack and she felt that familiar rush she got when engaged in a battle, it was a feeling she missed and one she didn’t get to feel all too often anymore and knowing that this was going to be a good fight made it that much more. Katt charged at the large man and as she advanced he attacked; sending strong jets of water at her. Katherine did not stop her advancement as the water came at her, instead she countered with her own, throwing her right hand out the water from her hand uncoiling and forming a long whip. Katt swiped the water at the projectiles, the two forming together on contact.
Even with a mask on she could tell that the man had not been expecting that. He did not seem bothered by her attack more like intrigued, she was sure he had not been expecting a kydrokenetic opponent..this should be interesting for the both of them. The Atlantean man dropped what had been in his hands and held his arms to the side, the faint glow of the tattoos on his skin showing through his protective wear.
The leftover water that had not been collected by Hydracat began moving toward the man and it formed a wall in front of him. Katt stopped her advancement and braced herself for what was about to come.
Get back! she yelled behind her.
Just as the warning left her mouth the wall of water was unleashed and a small tidal wave rushed at the young women and Katt was washed back against a wall. The pressure from the water pinned her to the spot momentarily but while she could not move the water provided her with more than enough to attack with, which was good because that was two hits these guys had on her and she was pissed.
(I’m gonna end it there for now because I’m having a hard time trying to write the scene and it is either going to turn really long or really bad…err worse than what it already is)

She stared at the device for a moment as water fell upon her head. The sprinklers attempted to help melt the water but with another chant, the wind picked up and froze the droplets again. The several thick layers were going to be a prison for her forever so there wasn't going to be any escaping any time soon, not again. It wasn't until Katt yelled out that Zatanna actually noticed the water wasn't falling on her head anymore. Her eyes shifted towards her friend just to see that man and a wall of water behind her. There wasn't even time to stop what came next.
Her fingers gripped the mechanical device as a flood of water came at her. The wall washed towards her like a tidal wave and threw her slender body against a wall. Her eyes widened from the pain and when she screamed out her lungs immediately filled with water. There was no way she could cast a spell like this. If she didn't think fast, there was going to be no way she'd leave though this! Her airwaves had too much water in them and if he had kept the attack up she would have drowned to death.
Instead, the water surrounding her seemed to be called by him or Katt as she fell on the ground like a doll. Instantly, she coughed up water in attempt to breathe again. The device had been washed from her hands as she laid on her knees, coughing. She hadn't even noticed that man's attack had freed his female companion or the fact she took the device. As she sat there sucking air greedily, it took her a moment to realize she shouldn't have been resting. Her eyes shifted towards Katt to see her battling two opponents now and that woman having the small box again.
What the hell was that box anyways?
A risky idea played in her head before her brain told her to screw protocol and safety and take a chance for Katt's sake. "Etavitca!" One word was all she needed to turn on the box. While nothing really happened at first, her body started to feel weird. The box was manipulating sound waves at a level that the human ear didn't hear but she could feel the fluids in her ear rattling, disorienting her. The room started to shake a little as she grabbed her head. Luckily, Atlanteans weren't immune to the disorientating noise as both enemies dropped to their knees. "G-get the b-box," Zatanna called from the ground as she held her head. She needed to shut it off so she could concentrate again. While it was disabling her enemies from attacking, it did no good if it that silent noise was making it impossible for her to concentrate.

When the water had finally washed across the room Katt was able to stand and she pulled herself to her feet. She wanted to check on Zatanna, the woman had taken a good hit from the water and unlike the other three in the room Zatanna could not breathe underwater but, Katherine had heard coughing which was good and that meant she could focus on the two Atlanteans in front of her. The Atlantean woman had reclaimed the small box and had rejoined with her companion and began speaking to one another in the Atlantean tongue.
While her Atlantean may be rusty Katt was able to pick up the jist of what had been said and the bottom line was 'finish them'
Katherine's eyes narrowed slightly and she tensed her arms. It was time to stop playing around with these two and make them regret their decision to come here tonight. As her arms tensed she slowly began to raise them, the water puddled around the floor reacting to her movements. Slowly the water started to gather toward her and once her arms were to the point where they were parallel to the ground Katt had two decent sized pillars of water on either side. The Atlanteans watched this happen and decided to rise to the challenge as the tattoos on their arms began to glow as they gathered their own water.
Back and forth the two sides went, Katt using the two pillars like extensions of her arms and when she could punch her arm out the water would react and make contact with the target and she weaved her way in and out of the onslaught of attacks and somewhere from behind her she heard the backwards talk of one of Zatannas spells. Well, it seemed that things might finally be turning in their favor.
It was subtle at first, a slow ringing in her ears but the ringing quickly began to grow stronger and stronger until it was almost crippling. Katt tried to stick it through but the highpitched noise was too great and the effects too strong for her to last long and her hands dropped and came up to protect her ears as she dropped to her knees, the water she had just had splashing all over. The Atlanteans across from her followed suit and soon they were all kneeling on the floor.
"G-get the b-box,"
Zatanna yelled at her and Katt looked in the general direction she had last seen it. In the confusion the Atlantean woman had dropped the box and it was laying on the floor out of enemy reach but, that was also across the room which meant she was going to have to get up and get it.
Deciding that it was better to risk her ears exploding while doing something than to sit here and wait for it to happen anyway Katt pushed herself to stand and started her way toward the device. When she reached it the noise and general disorientation feeling was overwhemling and rather than trying to fiddle with figuring out how to turn the thing off Katt lifted her foot and brought it down on the device, smashing it to pieces.

Katt had smashed the device and stopped the noise. The odd ringing in her head stopped as she sat up, looking over at the box Katt had broken. She supposed that was one way of keeping the bad guys from getting their hands on such a thing. The magician girl turned her eyes over towards the man. It seemed like it was useless to him too as he barked orders for the water woman to retrieve the others because there was nothing left for them here. "Oh no you don't!" Zatanna shouted. Before she could form words for a spell, the woman collapsed into water and slithered out the room, leaving the three of them.
"[Pot-"
Zatanna had started on a spell but before she could finish a word the man was upon her with his hand around her neck, shutting her up. While he wore a mask, she could feel his eyes peering down on her. "Do not test me, witch," he growled as a tossed her into Katt before making his exit. Zatanna yelped as her body hit the ground again, feeling more bruised.
They had stopped the bad guys from achieving their goals, but they didn't exactly save the day either. Zatanna sighed as she sat up and looked over at Katt. "Well, that sucked," she groaned as she got to her feet and helped Katt up. Regardless of her pain, she had to act the part of the strong heroine. "You should get out of here fast. If you're around, we'll have to explain things to the cops and the League and I don't think you want it." It was going to be like the time she explained to Batman why she didn't call in the crime except this time Oliver Queen and Batman were going to give her grumpy looks.
"We should catch up... in a non-life threatening setting. Call me to hang out, okay Katt?" With that, the former Aqua Girl took off while Zatanna went to go greet the authorities.
