All the fun came to an end, as the sound of the buzzer triggered by the Carnival attendant sounded off throughout the ride – though it didn’t stop Tim from barging into one last person a mere split second before the buzzer hit. It was a shame really, felt like they hadn’t had much of a chance to get at all started. But then, it was rather busy, should of perhaps made better use of the allotted time frame.
With the ride no longer functioning, Tim would manoeuvre himself to step out from his trusty steed. The ‘Batman’ colors proved plenty helpful, Tim was like a Silent Guardian, a Watchful Protector, a Dark Knight in his bumper car. As Tim had stepped out, already there was Cassie stood there, waiting – whom Tim greeted with a smile as he removed his shades.
“You’re on”. Tim said in reply, eager to resume their rivalry of sorts at a later date. “Sure, we should probably get moving before it gets as busy as this place – don’t exactly want to be stuck halfway up”. Tim would say with a faint chuckle. It would be interesting the ferris wheel, a chance to see Gotham’s skyline without needing to don the ‘Robin’ costume. Hopefully it looked a lot better too, the murky industrial, steam filled sky of Gotham doesn’t exactly make for the best view.
Tim would then take Cassie’s hand as the two proceeded onwards towards wherever the ferris wheel happened to be. Not that hard to find, one just needs to look upwards.

"Look, there it is!" Cassie said enthusiastically as she pointed over with her free hand, not that it was hard to see the colorful Ferris Wheel with all the sparkling lights towering above the carnival grounds.
She gave Tim's hand a gentle squeeze as they picked up the pace a bit to hurry over to the queue. To her surprise there wasn't a long queue for the Ferris Wheel, there were only a few people before them in the queue, so it didn't take them long at all to be able to be seated on the Ferris Wheel. The attendant secured the safely rail and in moments they were on the ride and lifted up into the Gotham City Skyline.
Gotham City may be a dark a dreary place from the street level, but Cassie couldn't help but give a smile when she saw the lights of the city from this height. "It's beautiful up here, I can see why the Bat-Family choses to watch over the city from the rooftops" she said softly to Tim, careful so that no one could over hear her.
She was really taken back by the views of the city, it really amazed her how much different the city looked from above, almost like she was in a different place, not that Gotham City didn't have it's own good qualities, but it was definitely known for being one of the roughest cities after night fall.

And the academy award for most obvious statement goes to; Cassie. The Ferris Wheel stuck out like a sore thumb in the backdrop of Gotham City. It loomed large, towering over the carnival ground with its bright lights and whatnot. It wasn’t a year round spectacle, but whilst it was there, it sure brightened up the otherwise dull Gotham.
Fortunately enough for the two of them, it didn’t seem that there was much of a queue for the Ferris wheel. It was perhaps brought about by the amount of people who were headed for the food stands, or the stragglers from the bumper cars – those from the rollercoaster may be a bit light headed for now as well. It was a stroke of good luck, and in no time did the Wonder Kids find themselves on the Ferris wheel, elevated high up into the sky.
It seemed that Cassie was rather enthused about the Gotham skyline – a feature of Gotham that had worn off on Tim. To him, Gotham looked the same murky and dreary place, the sky polluted with the industrial work of the city. Yet Tim never mentioned any of this, for Cassie was enjoying this and there was no reason to rain on her parade. “I’ll take this view over running through the slums any day”.
But it didn’t take Gotham too long for the dreary beast to rear its ugly head. For as the duo had reached near to the top of the Ferris wheel, in the distance a loud banging sound could be heard; followed by an exuberant amount of smoke that flooded into the night’s sky. The light of a fire could be seen just about, blazing up high. “Never a dull moment in this place…”. Tim said as he glanced over, a stern expression about him. Now he had a tough decision to make. Does he cut things short to go investigate? Or does he hope that a member of the Bat Family is there already? Nothing was ever easy in Gotham.

Cassie turned and gave Tim a warm smile as he spoke.
“I’ll take this view over running through the slums any day”. Cassie nodded, it was nice to just be in the moment with no life or death mission at hand. Cassie was truly enjoying herself for the first time that she could remember. Everything seemed so peaceful for the view on the Ferris Wheel, though little did she know how brief of a moment that would be.
Seconds later a large explosion could be heard as it echoed through the night sky, followed by a huge plume of smoke and then visible fire. Cassie turned to Tim and could see the look of concern on his face. It was easy to tell that he was torn, as he didn't want to leave her hoping that the other Bat-Family members were near by.
“Never a dull moment in this place…” Cassie would never ask him to choose her over protecting his city. She smirked at him as she opened her purse to reveal her Lasso, and moved up her sleeve to show him she had her Amazon Bracelets on under her sweater, she actually had her Wonder Girl T-shirt on under the sweater too, a girl has to be prepared after all. The only things she didn't have were her sneakers or her pants, but she could fight in her jeans and boots if need be, she had the main parts of her costume with her. She gave Tim a small smile.
"Looks like that our cue" Cassie said as she waited to see what Tim was going to do, as Cassie could easily take to the sky from the Ferris Wheel and stash her clothes on a rooftop near by but she wasn't sure if he had any of his Robin gear with him.

Clearly, Tim was torn. He had a decision to make; continue with the ‘date’, or play hero. It was made more difficult thanks to the larger amount of time that Tim had spent as ‘Robin’ in the past year. Slowly, but surely, Gotham was starting to feel like it was his city – as well as Batman’s. He felt a certain obligation to rush head first into danger when Gotham needed help. But… Cassie. Tim didn’t know how long it would be again before he got to hang out with her again, as Tim, and alone with nobody else around. But… then the blonde made Tim’s decision for him – somewhat. Just as Tim liked to be prepared at all times for any sudden incident, Cassie appeared to think along the same thought pattern as him as she showed off that she had her gear with her.
Robin couldn’t help but help save his city. From beneath his brick-red colored hoodie did Tim pull out his utility belt. He strapped it around him like a sash of some sort, and then reached into his pocket to pull out his domino mask; putting it on. Ideally he would prefer to be suited up properly, but this was the next best thing. From there, Tim would wiggle out of his seat, stood upon it with one foot down on the seat, whilst his other was pressed onto the safety bar. He stood there waiting as the Ferris wheel moved around, he needed it to reach a certain point before he does anything else.
”I’ll meet you there”. Tim would say as he looked towards Cassie with a smile. Eventually the Ferris wheel moved into position, and Tim would push off from it with a leap. Tim flipped over, and landed atop the roof of a van that was halted; set up to sell merchandise to those within the carnival. From there, Tim slid off and began to run towards where the fire was located, able to see smoke in the distance. As Tim ran off, he could hear a few shouts of onlookers shouting out his name - sort of made him proud.

”I’ll meet you there”.
Cassie gave a slight nod in response as she watched Tim jump from the Ferris Wheel to the roof of the vendor truck. Cassie, however, remained seated in the Ferris Wheel while she reached in to her purse and slid on her Amazon Bracelets and pulled out her lasso and attached it to her belt on her jeans before she slipped her sweater off over her head to reveal a familiar black t-shirt with golden "W's" adoring it. As Cassie's seat on the Ferris Wheel reached the very top, she stood up slightly taking to the night sky in flight.
She made her way to a near by building and stashed her purse and sweater, before making her way to rejoin Tim in his make-shift Robin costume at the source of the explosion and fire. She quickly soared across the Gotham City sky line as on lookers watched. "Hey Look isn't that Wonder Girl? what's she doing here in Gotham City?" a voice could be heard. " Go Get'em Wonder Girl! another voice could be heard.
Who knew Cassie would have a small fan club in the middle of Gotham City, she had no clue that she had become known in the area, must have been due in part to media coverage over the last few years while fighting along side of Wonder Woman. Wonder Girl arrived at her destination and looked around to find Tim. After she spotted him she landed beside him. "So ummmm.. what's the game plan? any idea as to what happened?"

Tim had arrived at the location. It was a Warehouse, an old factory that was thought to be abandoned. But in every crevice within Gotham, there was to be something or someone evil lurking. Flames were burning in and around the place, it was much too hot for Tim’s liking. Tim was near an open doorway looking in, his head propped round to get a peek at what was inside. Though based upon the state the warehouse was quickly in, it was fairly straight forward to figure who it was behind all of this.
”Take a look”. Tim would say, nodding his head as he motioned for Cass to take a sneak peek inside. The place was engulfed with flames, and stood within it was the figure of Firefly. He wasn’t alone however. Scattered about the floor were criminals who had fallen to the flame, and Firefly had one before him, begging to let him go. It wasn’t clear the motive, perhaps the criminal had stabbed Firefly in the back before, or perhaps it was to do with money. Either way, the man was down on the floor, back to a wooden pillar with Firefly holding his flamethrower towards him.
”Why is it never easy”. Tim would add with a sigh, turning away from what was going on inside. This would prove to be tricky, very tricky. Fire near enough neutralized any head on attack, Tim’s clothes were not exactly fire resistant and he had doubts over whether Cassie’s outfit would fare any better. Getting a pre-emptive strike could be key, it could significantly decrease the risk of this encounter. But, getting that strike was the problem. Patience may be required here, but as the flames raged on, Tim’s patience was shortening.

”Take a look, Why is it never easy”..
Wonder Girl stepped over beside Robin as she peered inside the flaming ware house where she could see a man wearing a helmet with metal wing type things on his back standing before another man begging for his freedom. The heat coming from the building alone was almost unbearable Wonder Girl, while super strong, sadly was by no means fireproof but she did have something that was, her lasso.
She motioned for Robin to take a step back as she took position and began to twirl her lasso, she knew this would definitely get Firefly's attention but it was the only way she could think of to even have a chance of saving the man before him.
After a few more twirls of the lasso, she let go of he looped end as she hurled it in to the building where it went over the man with pin point accuracy. A smirk crossed her face as her lasso training with Wonder Woman had finally just paid off. She gave it a quick yank pulling the man through the flames quickly and out the door. Cassie quickly pushed the man to the ground to extinguish the flames on his outer layer of clothing that he got when she pulled him through the fire.
Wonder Girl figured the man would rather have his clothes ruined as opposed to being possibly killed by Firefly. After the flames on his clothes were put out she looked at the man, "Sorry about this" she said as she punched him, knocking him out. She turned to Robin, "What I don't know if he is a civilian or a thug and I don't exactly have handcuffs to cuff him while we find out, besides we have bigger issues right now" she said as she pointed back into the building where Firefly was coming flying towards them. Wonder Girl grabbed the KO'ed guy and flew off and placed him somewhere she thought he would be safe and returned to Robin's side in the matter of seconds.

Tim had taken a step back, given a moment to admire the lasso skills that Cassie had learned courtesy of Wonder Woman. One couldn’t help but think about how Wonder Woman may react if Batman was to introduce a ‘Bat-Lasso’ – not well is probably the answer. With precision did Cass remove the man at Firefly’s mercy from the burning building. But this man wasn’t entirely innocent himself. ”He’s a thug”. Tim would say as he looked towards the man whom Cassie had saved from Firefly. It was fairly easy to tell, he had that look about him. An unkempt stubble, greasy hair, tattered clothing and an all-round unappealing appearance. It was pretty much the opposite of Cassie – who always looked stunning. Tim reached into his utility belt, and from it retrieved a pair of handcuffs. These were just normal handcuffs, he was yet to develop an ego so big that he felt the need to use ‘Bat-Cuffs’. He cuffed the man, but just as he did Cassie grabbed him and flew off into the nights sky.
Ruh roh. Tim glanced back towards the warehouse to which he found Firefly zipping through the air towards him. Tim would reach into his belt again and pull out two or three smoke pellets. He threw them down at the floor, each of the tiny capsules would break to unleash a veil of thick smoke in the immediate area. Firefly zipped into the thick smoke, at which point in somewhat dispersed as it was pushed into the wind that blew through Gotham. But in the smokes wake, there was no sign of Tim.
Tim had managed to get away, and was currently occupying the second floor of the warehouse. He could lean over the bannister on the upper level to look down below. Firefly had entered the burning building yet again, figuring that’s where Robin was hiding. It was perfect. No point leading Firefly away to cause destruction to more places. However, the place was on fire and thus time was not on the side of the heroes. ”You can’t hide forever, Robin”. Firefly called out with as he unleashed his flamethrower towards part of the upper level, across from Robin’s position – there were only so many places where Tim could hide. ”Think Robin… what would Batman do”. Tim said to himself, whispering. He was very much in Firefly’s domain.

Just as Wonder Girl returned, she realized it was just in the nick of time, Robin had thrown down smoke pellets to make a quick escape from Firefly.
”You can’t hide forever, Robin”.
Firefly yelled out as he pointed the flame thrower in the direction of the smoke unleashing a stream of fire. Wonder Girl took to the air and could see Firefly behind the smoke.
"It's a little late for Halloween isn't it girlie?"
Firefly yelled out to her, as he raised his flame thrower to shoot flames at her. Wonder Girl quickly dodged the flames. "Late for Halloween? That's funny coming from a dude in a full metal mask" she yelled back down at Firefly as he continued trying to blast her with his flames while she continued to dodge the flames by flying around.
She wasn't exactly sure where Robin had disappeared to, but she hoped that he would be able to take advantage of the distraction she was causing since Firefly was completely focused on her at the moment. "What's wrong, is it getting to hot inside that mask to focus on me? Because your aim is horrible" Wonder Girl yelled out, taunting the man to keep his attention on her.

Tim remained atop the upper level of the warehouse, peering down as he watched Cassie dodge the burning flames that Firefly shot towards her. This wasn’t something Cassie could keep doing all night; eventually the fire would limit the space available to her. Tim needed to act, and act he did. He would reach into his utility belt and remove the handle of his Bo staff which then extended at either side to its full length. Tim would then leap off from where he was towards Firefly whom he caught in the back with a kick. Firefly was sent stumbling forward a few steps, off balance with the sneak attack. But he managed to recuperate, getting his bearings as he turned to face the Boy Wonder.
Tim was already expecting this, and as Firefly turned around Tim struck him with the Bo staff, swinging with precision as he struck the upper body of his foe. Tim hadn’t ever gone one on one against Firefly, but from experience he had seen Batman always attempt to close the distance between himself and Firefly. It was then important to not give Firefly an opening, unfortunately though, Tim did. One strike was thwarted as Firefly grabbed the Bo staff and then shoved Tim back. Tim lost his footing and stumbled back, and thus allowed Firefly time to properly grip his gun. He aimed it towards the Boy Wonder and fired out a blast of fire. Tim would dive and roll out of the way, narrowly avoiding the flames.
”Screw this!”. Firefly called out with, turning his glances from the two heroes towards the roof. The Warehouse wasn’t particularly a strong building, and the flames and heat had weakened its structure significantly. Firing up his jet pack, Firefly launched off the floor and to the roof which he effortlessly broke through to head out into the Gotham skyline. Debris from the roof fell down, fortunately avoiding both Tim and Cass. “Just go…”. Tim would say after a deflating sigh. Firefly had got away, and now only Cass could give chase – there was no point discussing it. Tim would find a way up.
Firefly hadn’t flown off though. He was waiting up high for any hero to emerge for the sudden strike. <insert evil laugh>

”Screw this!”. firefly yelled out as she shot up to the skyline causing debris to fall around Robin and Wonder Girl. At least the thug Wonder Girl had knocked out was still hidden away safely from Firefly.
Wonder Girl turned to look at Robin as he yelled out to her.
“Just go…” Robin yelled to her.
Wonder Girl gave a nod, but didn't shoot straight up in the sky as most would have expected her to, instead she took off running around the side of the burning building then took to a low flight until she was behind the building, that was then she shot up in to the air. She was glad she had because she could see Firefly hovering over where she would have come out, if she had flown straight up, waiting to attack.
A small smirk crossed her face at the sight of him waiting there for her. She flew up behind him unnoticed as he was so focused on where he thought she would come over. She tapped on his shoulder. "Are you looking for me?" she asked as she turned around suddenly in surprise. She was able to knock his flame thrower out of his hand as he turned around, though it wasn't able to fall to the grown due to being connected to the fuel pack by a hose.

It was times like this when Tim felt slightly disheartened by the fact that he did not have any superpowers. He watched as Cassie ran off, and couldn’t help but sigh as it appeared that this fight was long out of his reach. It was up to Cassie now, and of course Tim knew that she was more than a match for Firefly.
Instead of reaching into his belt of tricks, this time Tim reached into the front left pocket of his jeans. From it, he pulled out a cell phone. The screen came on right away, it’s glare shining onto the domino mask he wore. With a few taps, Tim navigated through his contact list towards Alfred, hitting the dial button after selecting his name. It rang for a short time, but Alfred was always far too polite not to answer. ”Alfred. It’s Robin. I need firefighters down at my location… yes… Firefly. No need to alert the Bat, I’ve got this cover-… yes I’ll be carefu-… okay”. Tim would then turn off his cell, sliding it back into his pocket as he looked up at the warehouse beside the one on fire. Perhaps if he could find a way up onto the roof then he could affect this battle in some way. Or at least get there in time to be insurance so Cassie didn’t get hurt. If she did, well, Tim would only blame himself.
Better find a way up.

Fire Fly quickly reached down and grabbed the flame thrower by it's hose and began to use it towards Wonder Girl. Instinctively she shot through the sky to avoid the flames, though this little game of cat and mouse was becoming tedious, at least his attention was only on her, meaning that he was not targeting civilians in the near by area.
"Get back here Wonder Brat" he yelled out angrily as he was becoming highly upset with the fact that he had been unable to take her down. "What's wrong there helmet head? Getting tired all ready? I could do this all day!" Wonder Girl responded back to him.
Wonder Girl could hear the faint sounds of sirens off in the distance, perhaps someone had alerted the fire department the thought, though if fire fighters were on their way, she needed to hurry this up so that Fire Fly wouldn't be able to do anything to hurt them.
Wonder Girl was actually surprised, Robin hadn't come swinging in from a near by building or something, It would be helpful if they had their com's or a mind link from M'gann but sadly they had neither at this time since this wasn't exactly what they had planned for the evening.

Eventually Tim had made it to the rooftop of the building beside the one that Firefly had caught fire. As he arrived, he gazed out across the sky and would quickly see Firefly and Wonder Girl. It was like the two were dancing to some degree, Wonder Girl ducking and weaving about to avoid the bursts of fire that Firefly shot into the air. It was met also with the sound of sirens nearby, as it appeared that Alfred had done as Tim asked. Good, that was one less thing to think about.
”I’m so going to regret this…”. Tim would say to himself as he reached into his utility belt to bring out his grapple gun. He held it out and aimed it towards Firefly, which was rather problematic as Firefly did move a fair bit. When Tim felt he had got the aim right, he fired and the grapple shot through the air towards the back of Firefly. It latched onto Firefly’s jet pack, and soon after could Tim be seen, zipping through the air as well.
One of the jets on Firefly’s jet pack was starting to burn out, as the grapple had pierced through it. And now, Firefly had the added wait of Tim on his back. Tim held on as best he could, with Firefly flying about in the air in an attempt to shake Tim off. “Get off a’ me, ya’ bird-brain!”. Firefly said, the struggle continuing. Tim was holding on still, and hoping that Cassie would swoop in soon. An open hit on Firefly, or at least able to catch Tim should he fall.
