October 30th Undisclosed Location 11:00pm
Private Cole was bored. When he had been assigned to a top-secret government black-site he imagined danger and intrigue, not being a glorified security guard. Yet here he was. He turned to Private Turner his fellow guard as he sighed and said " You ever wonder why we're here?" "Yeah we're here cause it's our turn for perimeter duty on the roster." Turner replied flatly "No I didn't mean literally i meant more...philosophically." "No, no I don't. I'm just trying to get through this last hour so that way, the morning shift change can get here and relieve us." "Your no fun...hey wait a minute, look over there." Both men turned as they saw an unusual sight. Coming up the road was a man dressed in a black body suit, a hood and stylized skull mask over his face and what looked like a backpack on his back. However despite the oddity, their training kicked in as they raised their firearms and said " Don't move, hands in the air!" The man held up his hands and as they moved closer he shrugged and said " Trick or Treat?" "What?" Private Cole asked "This isn't the old Miller Place?" the man asked "No." Private Cole responded as they closed the distance between them and the man "Oh man, i heard they were giving out full size candy bars and...." the man in the mask paused and sighed " You guys buying this?" "No." Private Turner said keeping his gun raised "Fair enough." the man said " To business then." as his hand lashed out and grabbed Private Cole's arm and suddenly electricity crackled from his hand as Private Cole was knocked out smelling of ozone. Before Turner could react he felt the same crackle and a flash of pain as he two fell down from the currents that just ran through his body. As Private Turner struggled to get back up, he saw the man kneel down and remove Private Cole's service pistol. Turner continued to struggle and slowly began to rise as he looked and saw the man in the mask look at him "If it makes you feel any better, you two are probably the luckiest ones out of all this." Private Turner watched as the man pointed the pistol at Private Cole. He heard two shots and then everything went black. ***** Jager looked at the two fallen soldiers, and then calmly dropped the pistol. He didn't like to use guns, he found them far too impersonal, but when in Rome he supposed. Besides his knifes were a little hard to reach at the moment. However no need to linger with the dead, he had a mission to complete. He continued down the road, soon arriving at the compound that was his destination. A fence ringed the compound made of a rather heavy duty metal. Jager chuckled a little and then removed the pack on his back. He then placed it on the ground and moved away from it as he activated a holographic panel on his gauntlet. s he tapped in a few commands the bottom of the back opened up revealing the boosters for the jetpack.
With a spurt of flame the jetpack launched itself at the fence at high speed colliding and exploding on impact, however it had punched a nice hole through the fence. Jager continent to walk stepping through and onto the classified base, his steps echoed slightly as he had to admit he was more than a little disappointed there hadn't been any ore of a challenge. However as he took another step alarms sounded everywhere and he was no longer disappointed.
Intruder alert, intruder alert
Jager tapped the com in his ear as he said casually " Okay, the defenses have been stressed tested. Your going to want to come in hot though."
The alarms continued as more soldiers poured out from the base and suddenly Jager found himself surrounded by a lot of heavily armed soldiers. However as they tightened their circle out around him, they were suddenly taken by suprise as from seemingly out of nowhere a jet black aircraft swooped down was suddenly hovering over him.
Well if they weren't pissed before, they certainly were now.
"On the ground and tell the aircraft to land or we will open fire."
"Oh hey guys, you got it wrong, this plane isn't here to pick me up, it's here to drop some things off."
"On the ground and tell the aircraft to land or we will open fire, this is your last warning."
Jager sighed "Okay, just not going to listen to me fine. Though just saying, you guys are about to feel like total dumb-asses in..three."
The cargo hold door of the aircraft began to open.
"Two."
Jager cracked his neck and waited
"One."
He pointed up and the small phalanx that was surrounding him suddenly saw what was descending upon them
(Cue the badass entrances)

Darkness and shadow the plane of silent existence, that was what the path Francesca walked. Bare feet planted itself upon the earth feeling its effervescent pulse, the rhythmic throb of energies all around and beneath her; everything was a light and coursing through her. She had been dropped off by the aircraft earlier to take her position on the ground. She was much more effective ground level and much more dangerous. Her toes curled around the grass just outside the great walls that barricaded the compound. In the distance Francesca heard the muffled sounds of gunfire; two to be exact. Then another louder concussive sound that reverberated and sent small tremors across the earth. Alarms sounded and the young magic wielder muttered softly in an arcane tongue as a section of the wall before her shimmered a light lavender and spreading until the purple haze was the size of her person, shimmering it became almost translucent as the young mage the Shadow Squad called Jinx passed through the wall as though walking through a light curtain. Passing through the shimmer of lavender closed in behind her to solid wall once more. Back into shadows she sank as alarms sounded and attention was diverted towards Jäger's entry no one noticed the diminutive mage sneak in to melt into shadow. Intruder alert! intruder alert! "Okay, the defenses have been stressed tested. Your going to want to come in hot though." Jäger's voice sounded through her comlink which each member of the team had. Jinx heard the voice but didn't answer, the mage creeping through shadow, walked the short distance and into position while the alarms continued to sound as more soldiers poured out from the base and suddenly Jager was surrounded by heavily armed soldiers; Jinx's presence as of yet undetected. The young witch watched as the circle tightened around her teammate though she did nothing. Her lips curled into an amused smirk as a jet black aircraft swooped down was suddenly hovering over the small group even as the soldiers ordered Jäger to comply. "On the ground and tell the aircraft to land or we will open fire."
Jinx still remained within the cover of shadows and silently waited as Jäger toyed with the soldiers. The young magic wielder slowly started to pull at the magical energies that pulsed and surged around her. "... you got it wrong, this plane isn't here to pick me up, it's here to drop some things off." she heard her teammate warn. "On the ground and tell the aircraft to land or we will open fire, this is your last warning."
Well, he was giving them a sporting chance. Not their fault they didn't heed Jager's warning. , Francesca started to open the tap of magical energies around her, allowing it to coursed up her legs and ripple through her body. Her pink diaphanous looking hair started to lift and float on drafts of magical current. "Okay, just not going to listen to me fine. Though just saying, you guys are about to feel like total dumb-asses in..three." Jäger signed. As the cargo hold door of the aircraft began to open above them, Jinx's smirk increasing to a malevolent smile within the shadows as she felt the energy and power build within her; rippling and pulsing in a growing surge. Her violet eyes slowly taking on a lavender/violet hue as light tendrils started to ripple down her arms and onto finger tips. "Two." Jäger cracked his neck and waited just as Francesca aka Jinx's soft voice started to rise from soft whispered breaths of speech to a confident mantra of an arcane language known to the chaos wielders. An unpleasant sound for any unfortunate enough to hear it but it was effective in its potency of magic. "One."
He pointed up and the small phalanx that was surrounding him suddenly saw what was descending upon them just as the mischievous and diminutive Jinx released her power in a rain of violet and lavender lightning bolts that crackled and struck from seeming sky to ground seeking purchase through the bodies of a few guards unfortunate enough to get caught up in the light show and not move away in time. It was perhaps one part theatrics on Jinx's part meant to elicit fear and shock setting the stage for the rest of her team to cleave right through the phalanx, and it was in the mage's violet eyes a bit of fun as the diminutive witch cackled at the bit of pain she manage to inflict upon a few of the unsuspecting soldiers. For while their eyes were up at the sky the little mischief maker shocked them from the ground keenly hidden at first within shadows. Though her position was now revealed. "A coven descends tino the dark ring... Awakening power... No binds of jurisdiction. Unwise to turn a blind eye on to those infatuated by unforgiving power." she muttered in her usual almost whispered words as arcs of violet electricity coursed through her and out her finger tips giving her teammates the 'suppression fire' and cover they needed to land and deal out their damage. ==== OOC: Jinx's little light show should not affect the SS members as they descend. The arcs of electrical bolts are controlled and would just seem to flash and crackle around her team acting more as a diversion so they can land without being shot at, with the occasional soldier or two struck by the lightning, but really Jinx is just playing and enjoying the chaos her little light show is causing, not really all encompassing damage so plenty of death and destruction for her teammates to partake in. And I am assuming it was planned out so thye would expect the light show. Just thought I'd clarify, she's not taking them all out. And if this doesn't work for peeps, lemme know I don't mind editing and stuff

There was a certain skill that was required to be an assassin. A skill that can be needed in all walks of life, yet still it remained important in being a proficient assassin. That skill is called; ‘having patience’. More often than not, an assassin finds themselves having to spend a lot of time observing, analysing and waiting. Waiting for that moment when a window of opportunity slides open for a move to be made.
That moment of opportunity was nearing them with each passing second. Safira stood within the aircraft, preparing herself for what lies ahead. She was decked out in her usual assassin get up, most notable the quiver and bow on her back, as well as the two karambit blades tucked tightly into their compartments on her belt. As Safira stood there she began stretching a little, stretching her arms as she wound them in and out. But also rolling her head around several times, and then tilting her head to either side a couple of times each. Everything Safira did would rely on her being agile, and very mobile. She had always made a point to loosen up before heading into battle, unable to afford the luxury of sitting back to attack from range.
From outside the aircraft, the sound of the alarms could be heard, blaring within range of everyone in the area. Any chance of a stealthy approach was now surely missed, guns blazing it is. Followed were several warnings given by the guards who had engaged Jager. It was a futile attempt by the guards; of course they were none the wiser to that fact. Soon the sound of the countdown could be heard, through the earpiece that Safira wore as to keep in contact with her fellow teammates. It was then that Safira turned her head slightly to one side, to see her teammate Rose stood beside her. ”Try to keep up”. Safira would say with a smirk, before pulling up her balaclava over her mouth.
”Three.”
…and then Safira would also pull the hood of her outfit up over her head. It was nearly show time. Safira threw out a portal in front of them, and from there it expanded quickly to some degree as it glowed a brightly lit pink colour with a faint image of what they were heading into.
”Two.”
With her left hand, she gripped the karambit blade in her right holster, and with her right hand grabbed her karambit blade from her left holster.
”One.”
Pulling the two blades out, Safira stood watching as the door to the cargo door opened wide. From there she ran forward, something of a run up as she dived through the portal that she had created in front of herself and Rose.
The corresponding portal had appeared several feet in the air above the group of guardsmen, and it is from this portal that Safira appeared from, falling down onto one particular guard who fell to the floor, flat on his back. Safira was just atop of him, like she had mounted him and would slash at the expose neck of the guard before leaping off from him with a forward roll - a roll up to her feet, to which she was greeted by more guardsmen. Two to be exact, and due to the close quarters nature, firing their guns was not a desirable action. Instead they would use their guns as melee weapons, thrusting them towards Safira. She caught one off guard with a quick boot to the stomach, and was then composed enough to side step the strike of the other. Safira twirled her way around the guard to be behind him, then from behind would deliver a swift kick to the back of the guard’s calf. He fell down to his knees, to which Safira grabbed him by the chin with her left hand, forcing his head backwards as she exposed his throat to backhand slice with the karambit in her right hand. The guard fell forward onto his face, near death as he gasped for air – his friend left for Rose to deal with.
Safira threw out another portal in front of her and stepped through it. She appeared out another in a different part of the chaotic battlefield, and turned a full one hundred and eighty degrees with a wild slash that caught a guard who had been running in her direction. Another stepped up in front of her, and again used his rifle as a melee weapon. A thrust forth to his left, Safira ducked beneath. He tried again, thrusting his weapon to the right which Safira ducked beneath again. From there she struck with a few rabid forearm strikes, followed by a swift striking kick to the abdomen. The guard stumbled away, groggy and this gave Safira an opportunity to throw out another portal for Rose to utilize. Back focused on her own target, Safira ran towards him with a three hundred and sixty degree turn included as she slashed at him with one of her blades. In the distance another guard was readying a shot, and thus Safira threw a portal up and then tossed one of her karambit blades through it. It’s corresponding portal was behind the guard about to fire, and from it came the blade, sticking right into his back. The guard dropped his gun, falling forward onto the ground with the blade sticking out his back.
Safira had walked over, pulling the blade from the guard’s now lifeless body. As she stood up straight, another was prepping his aim as he fired away a barrage of bullets. Safira threw out a portal in front of her, and another to her left. The bullets went through one, and out the other, into the backs of three of the guard’s teammates, all of them falling to the floor. Safira then disappeared in a puff of pink smoke, and reappeared behind him. Striking, disappearing, striking, disappearing, striking – a continued pattern as she struck the guard down without him able to do a damn thing about it. A glance over her shoulder, Safira smiled beneath her balaclava as she caught glimpse of Rose’s antics, and the antics of her fellow squad mates. But another guard emerged, appearing vulnerable as he appeared unable to ready his gun. The guard appeared to be young, inexperienced and most likely scared, nervous or a mixture of the two. Safira would begin her stride towards him, and at a few yards away she leapt into the air with a foot forward as she caught the young guardsman with a kick to the chest. He fell backwards, rolling back and up to his knees to which he found himself being gutted like a fish as Safira dug her blade into his throat, force behind it as she yanked it out. Safira pushed the guard down to the floor, before holstering her two blades. ”Who wants to be next?”. Safira would ask as she moved to turn around, though fully expected to see corpses littering the ground behind her.

Try to keep up
Just like Tay to try and make it a competition, Rose grinned back at, well her friend it seemed. As the portal opened Rose nodded and fell backwards out the plane disappearing as she made contact with the pink energy.
Appearing above the guards and in a sort of backward swan dive. With a soft hum her blades ignited and reflected the light from Jinx's magic show, the blues flickering with the different colors as she twisted to land on her feet. As Safira began to weave her death dance, Rose was a few milliseconds behind her, as Safira moved to attack Rose was there to block any strikes being made towards her ally. Rose was starting to enjoy working with the assassin. They had very different outlooks on a lot of things but when it came to work, well it was clear that they worked very well together. As the League member made her way behind her target Rose was already slashing outward to deal with the second target. Her adrenaline was flowing and she was moving in her own little time zone. It was like the world was moving so much slower, those couple of seconds that she could see ahead for made all the difference. Bodies were dropping now as Saffy and Rose continued their dance of destruction.
As portals came up Rose was stepping through them to take on secondary targets as Safira took out others, now able to predict when and where the portals were opening it was easy enough for her to be right there with the black clad assassin and providing support, dashing through portals to slash a path for the other female to slice her own targets.
Dodging a series of gunfire as the Merc strode towards the offending gunman, even bullets seemed to be moving slower as Rose weaved her way to the man and proceeded to smash him brutally in the face with the hilt of her sword. Unlike her father Rose preferred close combat to the extent she avoided guns. They just seemed impersonal and honourable to her. As the last few bodies were hitting the floor, Rose paced a bit back and forth, her body was still signing from the buzz her ability gave her and dealing with conversation while she was ahead of time was just weird. Flicking the blood from her swords, imagined or in the case of her hilt very real, Rose slowly came back to normal paced time.
Who wants to be next?
Rose chuckled softly and shook her head "Someone is feeling bloodlusty this evening. Down girl." With a playful grin Rose clipped her sword hilts back to her belt. "So what is stage three?"

This was going to be fun, it wasn’t often that they got to go out like this and take on such a large mission. That was what they had been formed for, to take on secret missions for the Light but they didn’t get to stretch their legs enough as she would like. Most of the time they were left to their own devices and allowed to run free, it was a nice change but at the same time it didn’t quiet live up to the excitement that she had been promised but hopefully tonight that was going to change.
Nightshade had suited up and piled into the aircraft with the others and waited for them to get into position and for the go ahead from their leader on the ground. While they waited Nightshade removed her gloves and folded them before sticking them in a small pocket on her person, double checking her gear while they waited. Her knife was safely tucked away where it belonged, her gloves her off and within reach and she had a few poisons in mind to give the men below once it was time. Yep, she was ready to go.
Once the carrier doors were open and they had the go ahead she lined up with the others and readied to grapple down. A sudden burst of wind let her know that their little speedster had already taken off and he was followed by a flash of pink as Safria and Ravager stepped through the portal leaving Nightshade, Siren and Match. The latter took it upon himself to jump right from the plane and landed hard, leaving a small crater behind. Now that everyone else was down and taking on their roles Nightshade looked at the other woman with her and smirked a little ”time to go have some fun” She said before she took the cable and attached it to her person before jumping from the carrier and descending down to the ground below. The other woman followed and once they had both touched ground the women released the cables and jumped right into the action. Since the others were already at work it was Nightshade and Siren’s job to take out any stragglers or anyone that had managed to escape their comrades attacks.

From his seat on the plane Match sat quietly in an upright position staring straight out the window without so much as a glance or a comment to his teammates though he did move enough to look down at his watch to check the time as things would change soon. He hated waiting, not that it showed on his face but still he hated it. It made time feel more sluggish and the more he looked at his watch the longer things seemed to take. Then Jager's voice sounded in their respective comm links causing Match to smirk slightly with anticipation as he saw that they were nearing the drop zone.
" Okay, the defenses have been stressed tested. Your going to want to come in hot though."
Then it started, their rapid descent just as the drop ship hovered and then the back hatch opened to let them out.
Match stood within the aircraft at the ready as others prepared themselves and their weapons to drop down on those below. Her was decked out in his usual all black attire; black tac shirt, black fatigues and black combat boots and fingerless gloves. As others limbered up and talked around him, Match simply looked out the open hatch to gage where he was going to land and made the most impact; literally.
From outside the aircraft, the sound of the alarms could be heard, blaring within range of everyone in the area. Any chance of a stealthy approach was now surely missed, which was fine by Match; the stealth approach was never his thing anyways. Her preferred the guns blazing or fist wasting report. The little one and the one eyed girl both leaped out of the plane with a pink portal utilized to ease the drop. As if he'd jump through a pink portal.
"I got my own way down." he said to no one in particular as he avoided the pink portal and instead just free fell from the plane picking up speed as he went.
Match had picked up so much speed that his landing caused a bit of a crater and a shockwave that knocked those around him down. The guards didn't even have time to get up as he ran at them and took them two by two and either smashed the men together so they collided into one another full force, or he snapped their necks like twigs. Then came the bullet fire that struck his back.
The young clone turned his gaze then at the men firing the guns and unleashed a beam of heat from his eyes at their weapons causing them to melt or misfire. It was utter chaos in a way as he moved through the ranks of soldiers breaking bones and inflicting pain and death where ever he went.

As pinkish energy arced out from beneath him Jager sighed at the guards as he said “ This is what you guys get for not listening.” As the reset of the tem descended Jager used the distraction to reach down and grab his knives as he tossed on expertly into the nearest guards throat as he moved flicking his arm upward causing the gun the guard was holding to fly upward and fire into the air as Jager then stabbed him once in the solar plexus, again in the center of his chest and finishing him off with a slice to the femoral artery in the throat. He then pulled his other knife out of the fallen man as the rest of the team dealt with the remaining ones. Eventually he called out “ Okay all the people are dead now.”
Calling the group together he pressed a button on his gauntlet as a holographic model of the base they were in expanded out and Jager began
“Welcome boys and girls to a facility so far off the grid, it doesn’t even have a cool code name. Inside there is a package, that we are to retrieve. Now there is good news, bad news, and other news. Let’s start with the good news, because this place is so far off the grid, any warnings to the outside world and reinforcements take good half hour to fully encrypt and send out. Which no doubt is already in progress. so…” He paused as he touched on the west side of of the compound showing as it zoomed in showing an array of satellite dishes. “ Match, there a several satellites with your name on it. Rip them out of the ground, burn them, destroy the components the works, oh and there’s also going to be some guarded turrets with machine guns, and surface to air missiles there as well so have fun with those.”
He then zoomed out and the map opened up the roof and zoomed inside the building to a large room in the east corridor. “ Nightshade, Safira, you're in charge of internal communications. This is the central control for the internal alarms cameras, and communications. Your get inside and plant this in one of the computers in the room.” he paused tossing a small flash drive to Safira. “ It’ll wipe out all camera feeds for the past twenty four hours as well as reset the alarms to make it look like they were never triggered. This place is behind a bulletproof door and houses more armed security personnel that have a severe dislike of being taken over, so make sure to respond...in kind..”
He then continued and pointed to corridor at the far end complex that seemed to just lead into a wall as he continued “ Jinx you're with me, we’re headed down here, there’s a door we need to open. Everybody else once your jobs are done, we meet here,” he said pointing to that same seemingly empty corridor.
“Now for the bad news. We have exactly one hour before shift change and fresh troops arrive, which makes all of the scrubbing moot, so we have one hour to get in and get out and leave no survivors. We’ll get to the other news, later. Oh and I know this doesn’t need to be said, but anyone here that isn’t us needs to not be breathing by the time we’re done. Got it Great, go team..” With that he nodded as the team broke off to accomplish their tasks, leaving the remainder on perimeter watch.
***** Try as he might, he could not get this song out of head as he prowled the halls he found himself humming it.
“Clowns to the left of me...jokers to the right...hmmhmmhmm”
A guard came around the corner and Jager quickly grabbed him and with one solid motion snapped his neck.
“Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.” he finished as he picked up the fallen guard and half dragged, half walked him forward toward the intersection by their target. He pulled the gun from the guards holster, before he turned to Jinx and said “ I always wanted to see if this would work.”
He then took the fallen guard and with a little heft tossed him into the corridor as he heard sounds of surprise and gunfire as the dead guard was fired upon. Jager heard someone walking up towards the body and waited until another guard came up to investigate and then whistled getting the guards attention.
Before he pulled the trigger, with that he turned the corner and quickly fired at the guards, three shots to the head.
“Wow, you know for a top secret military base so far I am severely underwhelmed by the security around here.”
He didn’t take long to gloat though as he was on the clock and moved to the seemingly empty corridor and softly ran his hands over the wall until he found the catches and pressed them in as the corridor opened revealing a door with several layers of digital security and encryption to it.
Jager turned to Jinx and gestured toward the door as he said “ Could you do me a favor, I need…all of the electronics that are on this door to short out.”

As the others descended to take their positions and make their mark upon the battle field the young mage kept back and watched the mayhem. She'd done her job, created the suppression fire and distraction needed for her team to drop down upon the guards and take them out in their own way. Her magic had a way of being chaotic and while safe for her most times it didn't always fair well for the people around her sometimes; hence her name 'Jinx' and the fact that most times she was kept at a safe distance for 'effectiveness'. She didn't mind though, she was used to being alone and working that way; she preferred it only because when she did work with people she would be reminded at just how badly she did not fit in to the status quo. She rarely related to anyone, though she did start to warm up to a few like Safira.
The young magic wielder smiled beneath her hood as she looked up and saw the familiar pink portal and pink smoke. They did pretty well together back in the forbidden city and the pink portal reminded her of that little jaunt. Only the click of a gun and the press of its nozzle to her head reminded Jinx of her carelessness. She should have been paying better attention.
"On your knees now!" an angry male voice shouted from behind.
Jinx slowly bent knee in a genuflecting manner when asked to get down, her fingers brushing against the dirt and pavement to clutch at debris on the ground. Her eyes remained downcast though darted to the side where she heard the man's booted steps as he moved to walk around to stand before her, his gun point still aimed dangerously at her just as light arcs of pinkish purple energies like spider webs danced and laced her clenched fingers at her sides only to dissipate as quickly as it had been seen making it seem a trick of the lights.
"I should cap you now for that stunt you pulled on my friends out there." the man said angrily. "But then your friends out there won't stop. So how about we make them give themselves up."
"They won't do that." she said her voice soft, lips barely moving as it poked out of the dark hood with light wisps of pink hair.
"Then I've no use for you." The man said and went to pull the trigger only the gun sounded with an impotent click as it jammed.
Her head then tilted to look up at the man, dark hood moving to look up and show violet eyes that were cold and some would call unsettling. "I've no use for you as well." the young mage said as she brought her closed fisted hand to her lips, opened the palm of her hand and blew out at the debris she'd fisted earlier. The light dust of pink plumed into a fire that engulfed the man and the sandy burning embers that were inhaled at the man's gasp burned his nostrils and throat from the inside as well as the outside. The man dropping to the ground and writhing in pain before the flames of magic snuffed out his voice and all that was left was the writhing withering form of a charring corpse. Jinx rose then and walked away, her dark cloak falling like black shadow on her shoulders as her pale feet struck out with each small stride moving to the place Jager had summoned them.
“ Okay all the people are dead now.” she heard him call as she approached, noting the presence of the others as they all drew near the man.
Jager then pressed a button on his gauntlet as a holographic model of the base they were in expanded out and their leader began giving them the lowdown on the area and their objectives.
Which no doubt is already in progress. so…” He paused as he touched on the west side of of the compound showing as it zoomed in showing an array of satellite dishes as he pointed out Match's responsibility the mage watching as the clone smiled malevolently.
Then Jager zoomed out and the map opened up the roof and zoomed inside the building to a large room in the east corridor giving Nightshade and Safira their orders before pausing and tossed a small flash drive to Safira. He then continued and pointed to a corridor at the far end complex that seemed to just lead into a wall as he continued and called her name causing the young mage's hood to shift slightly as she turned to face him directly. “ Jinx you're with me, we’re headed down here, there’s a door we need to open. Everybody else once your jobs are done, we meet here,” he said pointing to that same seemingly empty corridor. The young mage simply stared at the hologram but made no outward comment, she just simply stared silently so other than her attentive gaze that studied the plans there was no other means of telling whether she understood her role or not; she did though, she just was curiously drawn to that door. She listen then to Jager's remaining 'bad news' and the mini 'pep talk' before the team dispersed.
Jinx took steps alongside Jager's though she had to almost double her steps as the taller man's strides were longer, it made her pale feet protrude further out of her cloak as her quickened walk seemed to almost make her kick out at the folds of the long draped cloak. Even if the young prowled the halls and sang, the more diminutive form of the dark mage had to almost double time her bare footed steps in order to keep up. She did though turn to look at the taller figure more curiously when she thought she heard him humming.
Violet eyes regarded him behind the shadows of her cowl, he was a strange one she thought; strange and dangerous though.
“Clowns to the left of me...jokers to the right...hmmhmmhmm”
Reflexively Jinx turned to the left then the right as he sang and then game the man a 'daft' look as she arched a brow at him.
"What...are you singing?" she asked only her question would go unanswered as a guard come around the corner and quickly Jager grabbed him and with one solid motion snapped his neck all before she could unleash forcing Jinx to clench a fist and hold on to the radiant energy she had summoned.
“Here I am, stuck in the middle with you.” Jager finished as he picked up the fallen guard and half dragged, half walked him forward toward the intersection by their target. He pulled the gun from the guards holster, before he turned to Jinx and said “ I always wanted to see if this would work.”
He then took the fallen guard and with a little heft tossed him into the corridor as he heard sounds of surprise and gunfire as the dead guard was fired upon.
"Mystery solved." the mage said of the young man's test.
Jinx looked up in the direction she heard as someone towards the body and turned to Jager noting how the man waited until another guard came up to investigate and then whistled getting the guards attention. Jinx simply curled a smile as the soon to be dead man looked first to her pink hair and darkly clad form to then Jager who pulled the trigger of his gun and then turned the corner then quickly fired at the guards; three shots to the head.
“Wow, you know for a top secret military base so far I am severely underwhelmed by the security around here.”
"Or worry that things are a little too easy." the mage replied as she walked alongside the man her voice soft with the lilt of an Italian accent that seemed to thicken in times of anxiety and while the man before her seemed at ease something tugged at the mage, something that felt just 'off' for some reason, but then again it could just be her natural paranoia. She tended to trust nothing that wasn't magical by nature.
To Jager's credit though he didn’t take long to gloat as they were on the clock and moved to the seemingly empty corridor and softly ran his hands over the wall until he found the catches and pressed them in as the corridor opened revealing a door with several layers of digital security and encryption to it. It was then Jager turned to Jinx and gestured toward the door.
“ Could you do me a favor, I need…all of the electronics that are on this door to short out.”
With a small smile the mage looked towards the digital circuitry, arcs of violet energies swirled and swirled and collected at her hands as she siphoned the energies from the ground beneath her. She glanced at Jager to step back and flicked her fingers outwards towards the circuitry as tendrils of magical energies formed into currents of lighting and crackled and snaked through all the circuitry shorting out all the electronics popping capacitors and resisters, shorting out chips or resetting them to zero from the surge of power that coursed through the walls or well Jinx was hoping to at least that if fried everything electronic. Though she hoped that was enough and did the trick.

They blew into town like a gust of wind, and just as quickly as they had arrived did they leave around them overwhelming evidence as to what their intentions were. Bodies laid dormant around them, drained of life, with only the odd one or two still gasping for air, though knowing full well that time was running out for them. They were but a day away from Halloween, yet tonight it seemed those working this particular site were already getting well acquainted with a few monsters and ghouls. If there was anyone who remained unaware of the intrusion alert, they couldn’t be now. This was the calm before the storm, the next storm, and around the base you just knew they were getting prepared for what’s to come.
As the last soldier in this particular wave of trained armed forces fell, Safira looked over her shoulder towards the aircraft that they had arrived in. The cargo door gradually came to a close, and the engines seemed to power up once again as the aircraft took off. Not in a speedy rush, at a steady pace, as it appeared to be looking for a place to land nearby.
”Okay, all the people are dead now!”
It was the loud call from their (seemingly) self-appointed leader; Jager that switched the assassin’s attention from the aircraft to the group. She approached the assembled group now, all gathered about Jager as he went about explaining a couple key issues to them all. Safira stood with her arms folded across her chest, looking towards the holographic imagery. She couldn’t help but for a split second think that she ought to get one of those, it would surely prove useful in matters of infiltration. It would certainly be an upgrade on the tactic of wandering around in the shadows, and hoping for the best.
It was quite intriguing, the distribution of tasks. Safira couldn’t help but flash a smirk beneath her balaclava at the notion of Match getting smash a couple satellites and turrets. It was the standard meathead work that required very little thought other than whether you want to hit something with one fist or two. Then came the task that Safira found herself assigned to, internal communications, along with Nightshade. This would be interesting. As of yet the assassin had spent time with both Rose, and Jinx, but not Nightshade. There wasn’t anyone as of yet who she didn’t get along with, and hopefully that was a trend that would continue. It was also an opportunity for the two newbies to show off what they could do, both being somewhat of an unknown to most of the team.
Safira made sure to get a good look at the holographic display for where the two girls would be heading to, entering without them having any time to be on guard could prove pivotal. In fact, Safira was so focused on the imagery that she was almost caught out as Jager threw a small flash drive her way. Fortunately she recovered well, snatching the flash drive out of the air and then placing it within a small compartment of her tunic. She nodded her head in response as to what the drive did, and then turned to move way.
Safira remained in earshot of what else Jager had said, not needing the full detail as her task was already clear. Safira instead moved over towards one of the corpses, crouching down beside it. She delved her hands within the pockets of the corpse, all to get her hands on some ammo for the handgun which she pulled from the man’s holster. She emptied the clip, reloading it right away before moving onto another corpse to do the exact same. It was all in preparation for the trip to the room that housed the internal communications of the base. It was highly unlikely that they would be unopposed, and for now the bow would remain on her back.
”You know how to use one of these, right?”. Safira asked, though it was rhetorical. She figured anyone who was a part of this band of misfits could handle a gun. It was simple really, much simpler than a bow; aim, pull the trigger. ”This way”. Safira added, nodding her head in the direction that the two girls would be heading. She turned and began her stride, expecting Nightshade to be close behind.
Up ahead there was a doorway into the actual building in which they needed to get inside, but before it something else had caught Safira’s eye. Well, not something, someone; one of the armed service men that had felt the wrath of their initial attack. He seemed badly bruised, leaning back against a railing near to the door. Safira took it upon herself to walk over towards him, and without much care she picked him up off the floor, grabbing him under his arm. She pushed him forward, and the guy staggered a bit, falling forward before picking himself up again. ”You’re going to direct my friend and I to Internal Communications. Any sudden movement, and you’re dead. Get it?”. The man nodded, stumbling forward a second later as Safira smacked him in the back with the butt of her gun. He pushed the door open, and staggered inside.
”I figure they won’t be too keen on opening that door for us”. Safira said as she turned towards Nightshade. It was her League experience that was making her take lead, though she was open for ideas. Poison could be fun, she’d like to see that. ”Feel free to smack him around a bit, feels pretty good”. The assassin added with a smile before entering after the soldier, holding the door open for her comrade. OOC: Apologies for the length and possible rambling ^^

Well this was…boring. Nightshade had done what she had been told to do, her and Siren waited for any men that managed to break through the attacks of their squad mates but none came. It was annoying how well everyone was at their job and it was annoying that she didn’t get to take part in any of that fun. Boredly she moved about the grounds, waiting, taking her stiletto blade from its holster at her side and spinning the handle between her fingers as she did. Finally once the others had cleared the perimeter they were called together and she strolled over to the group and took a stand next to Match while their new assignments were dealt out.
As Jager explained who was going where and what they were doing Nightshade looked across the circle at her given partner for the night. There was very few people on this little team of theres that she had extended contact with. Usually she stuck to herself or found her own fun down on the Vegas strip but it might be nice to see how some of the others act in situations like this. She already knew how Jager acted thanks to his little recruitment stunt but the others were mostly a mystery to her and that was no good. While the others started to break up into their given teams Nightshade walked the few steps toward Safria ’Looks like it’s you and me sweet cheeks.” this task should be simple enough, how hard could it be to install a flash drive into a computer?
Now that they had their orders Nightshade assumed they would move out right away but instead Safira stopped along the way and checked out some of the dead guards, pulling their weapons from their bodies.
”You know how to use one of these, right?”.
Nightshade looked at the gun and then to Safira with a questionable look before she took the fire arm, checked the chamber to see if it was loaded and stuck the gun in the band of her pants along her back. ”If the situation calls for it.” Nightshade did not like guns, they were loud and impersonal and there was too much room for error: armor, jamming, some kind of strange immunity to bullets. She did not like that. She liked to get up close and personal with her victims and you couldn’t really do that with a gun like you could with a knife or her special touch. ”Are these really necessary?” Nightshade questioned, seriously she was a super powered alien that came from a war planet that lived and breathed close quarters combat and this other woman was a trained assassin with a bow, the guns seemed silly but to each their own she supposed.
With the weapons handed out the two women continued toward their destination, Safria seemingly haven taken charge of this little mashup, whatever that was fine. The sooner they got this done the sooner she could go out and get her own kicks because this right now wasn’t doing it for her.
The two walked until they came across a inured solider and she let Safira have her way with the guy while she picked at her nails with the tip of her blade that she had taken out once more. ”I like mine livelier” She started while stepping through the door as it was held open for her. ”More fun that way.
It seemed that she would get her wish, as she passed through the door and they entered a long hall a small handful of guards came out to block their way. Now this was more like it!
”I got this” Nightshade said as she stepped forward in front of Safria and their prisoner. The men raising their guns at her as the lasers on their sights all convened around her chest. Slowly Nightshade held up her hands in the air in a ‘surrender’ pose, the handle of her stiletto loosely grasped in her hand.
”Easy boys, we don’t want any trouble”
”Drop your weapons and get down on the ground now! One of the soldiers commanded
”I think they want us to drop our weapons..” Nightshade said while looking over her shoulder at Safria with a smirk on her lips. After the quick glance back Nightshade looked forward once more ”be careful what you wish for.” She said before suddenly grasping the handle of her blade firmly and throwing it at the solider that was in front of the small group. The stiletto flew through the air with such force that it sunk right into the soft flesh of his right eye and poked out the back.
The sudden surprise of her attack left her with a small window and Nightshade quickly jumped at the remaining three guards, hitting one in the chest and sending him flying back against the wall. The other two brought their guns up again to shoot but Nightshade used her claw like nails and swiped at the guards necks, opening the veins as they quickly began to bleed out. The guard that she had pushed at the wall was starting to recover and he started getting back to his feet. Nightshade saw this and she quickly rounded on him, grabbing him by the straps on his uniform she pulled him to his feet and held him in place against the wall. Now that she had him where she wanted him Nightshade leaned in and foreceably kissed the man on the lips, remaining there for a moment before she pulled away. As she did you could see a sickingly green tint start to take over the mans flesh as his eyes yellowed and he started to gurgle up some awful looking black substance, the side effects of a very potent and deadly alien poison.
With everyone dead Nightshade released the man from her grasp which caused the body to fall to the ground. Nightshade stepped over him and looked back at Safira ”Well, come on, we don’t have all day.”
Now this was starting to get fun.

“ Okay all the people are dead now.”
A flare for theatrics and a sense of stating the obvious thy name was Jager, Match thought as the Cadmus clone tossed the remaining bodies of guards aside as if they were nothing more than dirty laundry that needed to go in the hamper only the 'hamper' was the large tank sized crater Match had created earlier with his landing; the crater itself had now quite the collection of dead bodies in it looking almost like a mass grave.
Casually walking over to where Jagger had called the squad, Match listened as the young man delivered the plan that was to ultimately spell out their roles and objectives. Match watched then as he approached, as a holographic model of the base they were in expanded out and Jager began to explain.
Which no doubt is already in progress. so…” He paused as he touched on the west side of the compound showing as it zoomed in showing an array of satellite dishes which Matthew could already tell was to be his duties.
“ Match, there a several satellites with your name on it. Rip them out of the ground, burn them, destroy the components the works, oh and there’s also going to be some guarded turrets with machine guns, and surface to air missiles there as well so have fun with those.”
"Right." The young man's lips creased into a malevolent smirk obvious he would enjoy the destruction but also amused at the fact that he was getting the typical 'Meathead' assignment. Then again one had to use the assets accordingly and really who else of the group would be able to take out those things quickly and be able to go toe to toe with machine gun fire, turrets and surface to air missiles? Sure the assassins could infiltrate and take out each one and disable them, but that would take time and they didn't have much of that. Then there was the freak magic user. Could she even accomplish a task like this? Sure a few lightning bolts here and there but from what Match saw she was vulnerable when casting her spells and in and amongst a hail of gun fire she wasn't impervious to, it would inevitably get her killed not to mention the fact that the mage could tap out completely from her magic and well, Match didn't fatigue or rarely ever did. So virtually invulnerable, super strength with speed and destructively efficient capabilities...yeah, it had to be him. But he was not about to rule out the possible dig or amusement his counterpart got from giving him the jarhead kinda jobs. Because tell me that didn't scream Meathead when he did smash things.
He listened to the rest as the others were given their tasks and Matthew had to hand it to Jager he seemed to have it pretty well planned out and tactically sound utilizing the team and their strengths to the best of their abilities. And then came the bad news portion of the whole thing.
Got it Great, go team..”
"The 'other' news?" Matthew echoed looking to Jager when he said it. He didn't like that he was going into this without all the info. It left things up for variables to unexpectedly spring up. "I don't like surprises."
He smirked at the last bit about no survivors as it went without saying however it wasn't like anyone ever could tell his smirking considering on missions as Match Matthew's true face was hidden. At the last of Jagers' words Match moved to the turrets but not before the clone voiced one last bit more to Jager alone as the others dispersed.
"This 'other news' better not come up to bite us in the ass because you didn't think it pertinent to tell us now." he said before heading off. While he did trust the man's judgement in as much as Match could trust (ok so it was a loose word thrown around)`, the clone just didn't like not knowing everything. But really too little too late now; things were set in motion.
And enter the rain of gunfire and explosions as suppression fire hailed from the bunkers and turrets as Match made his way towards the satellites. Dirt and earth exploded at his feet and plumbed the air around him causing a bit of a haze which helped to mask his presence not that he needed that but it kept the annoying bullets from ringing off him. He may not be damaged by them but they were still annoying. Regardless Match got to the first gun tower in record time; thank you super speed, and levelled the tall building by taking out it's legs with his heat vision which cut through the posts like butter. As the tower fell he caught the tower and slammed the thing against a line of turrets and 50 calibure firing gunmen. It was like playing 'Whack a Mole' with the gun tower as Match slammed the tower flattening the turrets and the men firing the large calibre guns. More explosions and flames came only to have a black streak that was Match move on to the next target and with similar strategy cut out the legs from under the gun tower, grabbed the thing by the legs and continued to play 'Whack a Mole.' Match figured this was probably what if felt like on one of those carnivals the humans went to.
After making it past the last gun tower and flattening the turrets and silencing the machine gun fire Match continued to carry about the long lone gun tower and then proceeded to play batting practice with the first set of surface to air missiles as they tried to take him down while he flew towards the satellite dishes. He struck one at the shaft rather than the point to prevent premature explosion, redirecting the warhead towards the first satellite dish which he hit with a sight and sounds of successful explosion and the creak of metal giving way as the half torn apart dish sagged and fell. Whacking a surface to air missile assembly with the remaining gun tower, Match flew over to the sagging dish and like a frisby style toss sent a broken disc sailing towards the other satellite dish causing a grand collision and explosion. His laser eye beams as well seared across the landscape to take out what he needed including some more surface to air missiles. On one occasion the clone flew out to grab a warhead sailing through the sky his way and redirected it to strike one of the other remaining satellite and surface to air missile silos Match rained death and destruction on the soldiers below. The clone made sure to leave no body twitching of even moving, utilizing his super vision to catch even those attempting to cower and hide; he hated cowards even more and did not make their deaths any more pleasant but at least they could say it was swift.
And once all was done and the clone was left upon charred earth and remnants of flame and debris scattered in a destructive malestorm his feet finally landed upon the ground and touched the comlink to open communication.
"Satellites all out, gun turrets, towers and surface to air missiles all smashed to bits and accounted for...oh and people are dead. Nothing's left standing but me now." he said checking in as a malevolent smile creased his lips which again could not be seen however it never the less was a satisfying one. Jager was right; he did have 'fun' with it, not that his neutral almost bored sounding tone indicated anything.

Jager was about to move when he saw that the guns weren't charging up, weren't firing, weren't doing much of anything except standing there looking menacing. It took him a minute to realize why.

"Satellites all out, gun turrets, towers and surface to air missiles all smashed to bits and accounted for...oh and people are dead. Nothing's left standing but me now."
Jager touched the com as he said " Yeah, because I was so worried that regular missiles were going to hurt you, tell me Match, how much super strength does it take to pat yourself on the back so hard?" he paused for effect and clicked the com on again as he said " Though that does mean that our two new girls are coming in last place this round, which is a little disappointing." he said with a slight chuckle " Anyway we have 45 minutes left to go, Match when ever you done high fiving yourself, meet at the rendezvous point., cant miss it, just follow the bodies past the large inactive guns."
The end of the hallway came and all that remained was just a single elevator and single down button. Jager then paused as he needed the rest of team here for the next phase. So now came the hard part.....the waiting. He leaned against the elevator door as he briefly nodded to Jinx, he silence swiftly approaching awkward as he said " So....how's it going?"
Had to kill time somehow.

Pink tendrils of energy curled around the door as Jinx worked pushing the magical tendrils of energy in and around circuitry until it was that things went haywire. Lights glowed and then started to flicker, and then capacitors ramped up into the red, resistors popped and regulator chips fried and then the glass containing them burst, sparking with small shards and pinkish purple energy. The girl was focused so much that she barely registered the glass pieces that struck her hand causing small nicks and scrapes.
Tthere was a loud screech for a few minutes before, it slowed and died down, fading as the door with the circuitry gave one last feeble wine of complaint and opened up revealing a hallway and two very large guns pointing at them. The dark magic wielder's lavender eyes widened at the realization of the large barrelled guns pointing exactly in her direction. She would not have time to dodge this one and only recourse would be a futile attempt to manipulated probabilities only she wasn't so sure she'd have the time to get it up. Still she had to try so reflexively fingers once again laced themselves with the swirl of pinkish purple energy quickly only to realize that the guns down the hall weren't charging up, weren't firing, weren't doing much of anything except standing there looking menacing.
It seemed her ability to fry circuitry and electronics extended down towards the gun turrets facing them. With a soft exhale of breath and a lowering of her hands as her shoulders slumped from relief her magic fizzled out and reabsorbed themselves back into her.
"Gold star for you." Jager had said approvingly at Jinx as he continued down the dimly lit hallway.
"Just lucky." were the soft nearly whispered words that came out of her pale lips as her long skeletal like fingers pulled back up the dark cowl over her head, her lavender eyes sighting down the gun turrets that was almost her end. It was definitely a close call.
Just then she heard the voice of the Match come over the com and then Jager 's quip to the man beast and the two assassins. There was an annoyed and angry response from the cloned man-beast which Jinx just preferred to drown out. Banter between boys wasn't altogether riveting in her mind. Particularly how quickly the other fell into the trap or ire; it was barely sporting he fell for it hook line and sinker. Then Jager started in on his subtle challenge to the two female assassins.
"Though that does mean that our two new girls are coming in last place this round, which is a little disappointing." he said with a slight chuckle. It seemed he liked to goad people and Jinx wondered if that was in some way his method of getting people to be better rather than inspire in some warm and fuzzy coddling way of 'great job guys'. Truthfully that kind of affirmative support would not run so well with the group they had. None of them were the coddling kind that looked for praise so she supposed if that was the man's way of leading he would do well in a group like theirs. And his ability to manipulate those around him made the young man a rather dangerous one even without his own powers.
" Anyway we have 45 minutes left to go, Match whenever you done high fiving yourself, meet at the rendezvous point., cant miss it, just follow the bodies past the large inactive guns."
There was only the simplest of smirks at the last bit though nothing was said on jinx's part as she walked quietly alongside the young man; wordless and soundless it was only the whispers of her flowing fabric that even told one that she was still there at his side. As they reached the end of the hallway Jinx noticed that all that remained was a solitary elevator and single down button. Jinx then stopped silently at Jager's side when he paused; the two needing to hold their advance until the rest of team arrived for the next phase. And alas came the torturous part not for the silence because Jinx was perfectly fine with silence, no, it was the waiting.
Her lavender eyes shifted from beneath the shadows of her hood to watch as Jager leaned against the elevator door briefly nodded at her, their silence swiftly approaching awkward as he spoke out.
" So....how's it going?"
"Rather slowly." she answered simply before the silence fell down upon them again. She wasn't the most talkative of members at the best of times even if she wanted to she wouldn't' even know where to begin or what to say. Socially awkward was probably an understatement when it came to Jinx.

”But in first place for style”. Safira remarked back right away, said with a smirk creasing her lips as her words were spoken down the comms link. It was all fine and dandy being efficient, but if you couldn’t have a little fun then things turned mundane even quicker. ”All done?”. She inquired as she turned away from watching one of the screens and fixing her glance on Nightshade. Course they were inside the Central Communications room, around them a sea of fallen bodies that had fallen with relative ease; including the guard that so nicely escorted them along. Her fingers tinged with a pink colored energy that whirled around her fingers. She threw it out to the side of them as a portal opened wide, with the faint image of the rest of their team waiting. Safira stepped through, and like that, disappeared.
Arriving on the other side she walked out but left the portal open – she were going to leave Nightshade abandoned, maybe Jager, but not Nightshade. Her glance first fell on Jinx but with a head tilt she looked towards Jager with a playful pout. ”D’you upset her?”. It was rhetorical. Course he did… he opened his mouth.
