Dick went to it, running his scan while he let Tim go off. He wasn't going to stop the younger man, not when Tim was in charge. It was his duty to check out what he wanted, and if he wanted Dick to help, he'd have given an order or request on that front. He ran his scan, but it didn't give immediate results, so he let it sit and run for a little while. He looked up after Tim and went after him, catching up quickly so at least they were together, figuring that yeah, that was probably best.
While Tim was looking at buildings, Dick was focused on his scan. "Check what out?" Dick asked, looking up. Ok, that store seemed extremely out of place. Sure, science fiction was around in the 1960s, obviously, but a store like this? Well, maybe it was a thing, but Dick wasn't sure. Maybe it was entirely normal. Dick stepped inside after Tim and looked around. Ok, they were probably going to blend in with these costumes, at least. Well, if nothing else, we can probably enjoy and live out the end of our days here...," he joked darkly.
Dick scanned the crowd and then there was a small beep from his arm just as Tim located Control Freak. "Yeah, that makes this easier for us," Dick said, about to open his mouth to give an order. He caught himself and restrained himself on that one, "Ok Robin, what do we do?" he asked. This was still Tim's operation to run, after all.

”We save the day, Dick”. Tim would say in response, a faint smirk having appeared across the young Boy Wonder’s face. That was at least the broad description of the plan, and that’s all Tim had thought up thus far. He wasn’t completely sure of the logic in play here. Would any physical harm to the intergalactic innocents reflect back in the real world? This place really should come with a manual of some description.
”Control Freak will want a spectacle, let’s give him one”. Tim said as he scanned the room to see what they were up against. All he knew was that Control Freak saw himself as a god within the land of television and movies. And of course, he would love an audience to witness him dismantle his foes. Problem is, anyone with any common sense would back #TeamBat in this rodeo. ”I know we’re not supposed to ever underestimate our opponents, but. I think its safe to say we can handle an out of shape TV junkie”. Tim said with a tone of confidence about it. Tim wasn’t as experienced as Dick, or Barb. But he was sure of taking down this fool.
Tim stepped toward the VIP area where Control Freak was located. As Tim approached, Control Freak cracked a joke to which his alien species arm candy supplied the laughs. ”Well you sure kept us waiting, bird brain. I was starting to think you wouldn’t show”. Control Freak would say, with a huge grin plastered onto his face. ”I like to keep an audience in suspense”. Tim said back with a nod. The intergalactic ladies sat with Control Freak would all step up from their seat, as did Control Freak soon after. ”Time for you, Robin, to go down in television history! As the first to fall before my might reign! Ladies…”. With that, all the alien females with Control Freak would reach to their belts to withdraw a hilt, a hilt that sported a laser sword. Control Freak took one out as well, his differently colored to the rest. ”how do we not have a Bat-saber yet?”. Tim muttered.

Save the day? Well, of course, but Dick was hoping that Tim had something more than just the end goal. You needed a plan to get there; means to obtain an end. He just hoped Tim had something that he wasn't sharing yet, because otherwise Dick was going to start to get worried. But he did trust Tim enough to manage to pull something off. Or well, at least he hoped he had that much trust in the younger man.
Dick had to agree, and gave Tim a nod. Yeah, no need to underestimate their foe. Granted, Control Freak could probably control this entire television world...maybe the element of surprise? And then he saw Tim walking right up and basically announcing his presence to Control Freak. Great, hopefully the Freak wouldn't shift this world against them, or run again. Hopefully he'd want a show. And a show the two of them could definitely give him.
Dick walked up to join Tim and looked to Control Freak's girls as they created swords of energy. Dick drew his two sticks into hand and kept them at his sides, "Because we have other weapons already," Dick responded, although he really wasn't sure why nobody who was that good with tech didn't try something like a "Bat-saber". He'd have to ask... Dick looked at the women, "How many do you want?" Of course, while he wouldn't vocalize it, one of them needed to get Control Freak as well.

”Uhhh…”. Before Tim would formulate a competent response, he found himself needing to leap backwards as Control Freak dashed towards him, slashing the air with his laser blade. ”Wipe out the bigger bird, Ladies!”. Control Freak yelled out as he darted at Tim once again. The group of three females would then proceed to approach Dick, to which Tim called out; ”Enjoy your dates!”. As he darted back again from another wild slash by Control Freak with his laser sword.
Tim wasn’t entirely sure of what his approach here needed to be. His Bo Staff would be his primary option, but it seemed as though Control Freak’s laser sword would just cut right through it. No, another option was needed. Await an opening and strike, disarm Control Freak, throw him off his game plan. As Tim backed away, he threw out two batarangs that zipped through the air towards Control Freak. Tim’s nerdy adversary slashed at the two batarangs with his laser sword, slicing them in half like a piece of fruit. “Avoid the blade, got it”. Tim muttered to himself, eyes widened slightly; he didn’t want to be cut open like the batarangs. OOC: You can handle the fight with CF’s allies, will flow better than us going back and forth with minimal actions.

Dick cracked a small smile. Dates? "Well, been a while since I had to juggle three girls all at once, but...I could use the refresher course." He dodged one's swipe and swung his stick onto her wrist to make her drop the weapon. At the same time he span around and delivered a back/side kick to another's abdomen before turning back to the first and swinging behind her, putting her in a choke hold and slowly taking her down into unconsciousness as the second and third converged. He wasn't sure if they were real or not, but he'd might as well assume they were.
As soon as he dropped her, he jumped back to avoid the swing of the other two swords. He lifted his sticks and saw the batarang get cut in half. Good to know. As they came at Dick, he rolled under their swings and swung his sticks back into the backs of their knees, taking them both down to a single knee. He span around and gave a roundhouse kick, knocking one forward. He span his sticks around and struck the other one in the wrist to relieve her of her weapon, then drew them around her neck and applied enough pressure to ease her down, like the first. He approached the second and kicked her weapon away before rending her unconscious as well.

Control Freak attacked towards Tim with a combination of slashes and jabs, all of which Tim managed to swiftly avoid showing his finesse by hopping from side to side, and back. Each strike pushed Tim a further step backwards, and then there was little room as he felt the edge of a table in the club behind him. Tim pushed back to roll backwards over the table, landing on the other side to which he pushed the table forward towards Control Freak. Control Freak sliced downwards as the table came towards him, slicing the furniture directly in half.
”That could have been me…”. Tim muttered to himself, before reaching into his utility belt. He pulled out a handful of pocket explosives, flinging them through the air at Control Freak. Their use wasn’t to do damage, but more distraction. Each pellet exploded close to Control Freak, causing him to lower his laser sword as he flinched. Tim took this opportunity to charge towards Control Freak, leaping into the air with a high kick to Control Freak’s chest. The nerd villain stumbled back into the wall of the club with a thud, stumbling forth from it. Tim then threw another batarang, but Control Freak recovered in time to slash it away like it was nothing.

Since his enemies were down, Dick looked to Tim and his fight with Control Freak. Despite his build, Control Freak seemed to be on top of things, and that worried Dick. Did that mean that the Freak had some way of manipulating himself while within one of his worlds? Or was he just this good? If he was, well, that was shocking, Dick had to assume he was just making himself better while within one of his television worlds.
Dick lifted his twin sticks and ran towards the fight, trying to come up behind Control Freak. He didn't want to intervene too much, but if Tim was in trouble, he had a duty to do something. He slid behind Control Freak, looking down at the backs of the mans legs. A good, swift strike would take him down, but he looked up at Tim, waiting for any non-verbal cue, hoping that Control Freak didn't know he was behind him.

Is Control Freak really that good? It seemed highly unlikely. It was perhaps the vibe that he was giving off as a result of Tim making him look good. Tim’s plan wasn’t at akk to go up against him directly; he couldn’t risk being swiped with that laser sword. No, Tim was trying to lure Control Freak into revealing some sort of an opening. Disarm the villain, and then go in for the strike.
Control Freak ran forward with a burst of speed, his blade held above his head as he ran towards Tim. Control Freak brought the sword down with a mighty slash, but Tim was able to roll to one side, out of the way. Now Control Freak seemed to be having some trouble, the power behind that last strike had left it lodged somewhat into the floor. Tim took his chances, as he pulled out the centre piece of his Bo staff, pressing down a button on it. From either end of the centre piece did the staff extend out to its full length. Tim gripped it tightly with both hands, as he swung it with force at Control Freak. Control Freak was knocked backwards to the floor with a thud, scrambling to his hands and knees in front of Nightwing. “Crud”. The supervillain muttered.

Dick watched as Tim managed to use his staff to take down Control Freak. Dick quickly crouched down and grabbed Freak by the arms, pulling them behind his back and binding them with cuffs as quickly as he could. "There, now you should be no more trouble." He looked over Freak's shoulder to Tim, "Good job there. Sticks are great weapons, aren't they?" He liked to think that it was his passion for the weapon that had gotten Tim to take it up during his tenure as Robin.
"So, I have a question," Dick directed it at Control Freak as he looked around to make sure they were safe, "How did you get so good? It's being in this world, right? That's the only thing that makes sense." He would have added a 'no offense', but he really didn't care how Control Freak took it. He was sure Tim also wanted to know, so asking this question would benefit both of them.

Control Freak looked up at Nightwing having been floored when handcuffed, with a huge grin plastered across his face. ”You’re more stupid than you look if you think I am willing to divulge anyth-“. Control Freak found himself interrupted, falling down on the floor; stunned. Near was Tim, bo staff in hand in which one end sparked a tiny bit with electricity – the tool of which silenced the nerd. ”He has a really annoying voice”. It didn’t matter that much either way, getting home is what’s important.
Tim’s staff retreated in on itself so that he could clip it back onto his utility belt. From there, he rolled Control Freak over and reached into one of his pockets to which he retrieved a television remote. ”Voila!”. Tim said, giving it a glance over. A red power bottom near the top caught his eye, the way back home. ”Want to grab any souvenirs before we head home?”. Tim asked. Souvenirs were Wally’s thing, maybe Dick would want to keep that tradition going.

Dick sighed, then a smile formed on his lips and he laughed a little, "Yeah, I don't blame you," he said. He looked around and took in the sights, knowing they were about to leave. Assuming they could properly work that remote, but how hard could it be? "This place really is pretty amazing," he mused. If only they could have access to this place, it might be a great tool for them, or hell, even a prison for those they couldn't control.
Thinking of a souvenir, Dick nodded. What would Wally want to take from here? He walked over to Control Freak's sword in the ground and pulled it out, deactivating it as well. He held it towards Tim, "I feel like this would be Wally's trophy of choice." It was awesome, and Dick would have taken it for himself as well if he wanted a souvenir. He looked at the weapon. He'd have to put it at Wally's memorial.

”Let’s go home”. Tim said with a cheery smile as he held the remote out in front of him. He pressed the red button at the top of the remote to send them home. Suddenly a bright flash of light engulfed the entire atmosphere as they would find themselves entirely absorbed within it.
The light simmered down, and Tim found himself back in the same creepy Control Freak lair as before along with Dick, and the apprehended Control Freak. ”We should probably hold onto this…”. Tim said, looking towards the remote in his hand. ”And… what shall we do with him? Arkham?”. Tim said in reference to Control Freak. Arkham was for the most dangerous villains, and Tim wasn’t entirely sure he fit the bill… or would even survive with the other inmates. It was probably a waste of space him being there. ”Belle Reve?”. It may be a little more suitable.

Dick hoped that the remote was easy to use and that Tim wouldn't send them to some other place entirely, but it seemed to work, so he let out a sigh of relief. He hoped Tim hadn't heard it because that might make Tim think Dick was doubting his abilities. He wasn't, he just wasn't sure if they could figure out the tech. He looked at the laser sword in hand, hoping he could figure this out.
"You did well Robin," he said, "I'm proud of you." He was also proud that the team was in good hands with Tim on it. "I don't know which one is better. I don't think he's technically insane, so Belle Reve sounds better." He looked around the room and then found the Batgirl robot again. He walked towards it and slashed it in half with the laser sword, "I can't let that thing exist..." It was too demeaning.

”At least we have the pictures to show Barb”. Tim said, with a hint of disappointment in his tone. Actually bringing the robotic Batgirl model back to Barbara would have been so awesome, just to see the look on her face when they wheel it out. But, pictures will do.
”Not sure he’s going to fit on my Batcycle”. Tim said, looking down at the floored Control Freak who remained unconscious following the strike of the Bo staff. ”Do we have a Bat-truck?”. Most would think the possibility of there being a Bat-truck is absolutely nonsense, but there were enough oddly Bat themed gadgets and weapons for Tim to believe that a Bat-truck may exist.
Tim of course normally had Bruce around who took care of putting criminals behind bars, wherever they were best suited for. The Batmobile was the usual mode of transportation, and the situation the two heroes find themselves in right now is exactly as to why Tim had pressed to be allowed to drive the Batmobile – things would run so much smoother when Bruce is unavailable.

He looked to Tim and shook his head, "You're not showing that to her," he told Tim. He was being serious, but wasn't sure if Tim would get that. Sure, maybe she'd find it amusing, but it was more creepy than anything else. He approached Tim, "You're never showing her that or telling her about that." He had feelings for her, and wanted this to just die without her knowing.
He sighed and nodded, "We could just call in someone else," Dick told Tim. Bruce could come with his Batmobile, or whatever vehicle he wanted to use. Or someone in Gotham (a cop, obviously) could haul him to Arkham. Sure, Belle Reve was probably a better fit, but Arkham was right here. Besides, how could these two transport him through states to get to Belle Reve? Unless they had a boom tube or zeta beam, maybe. "I don't think the two of us are going to be able to take him anywhere."
