Despite the fact that Gars eyes where glued to the screen, following his avis rampage through the game map, sending toon after toon down into the pixel dust, earning angry shouts and complaints from the other players as his high score rose, it was quite clear that his true focus was on the objections voiced by Tim.
Awesomeness aside the wonder boy might have a point... Gar's brow furrowed up as he pondered the implications that Tim had pointed out.. blown out of the sky by Batman? Well... That sounded all kinds of nasty... Perhaps it was a bad idea? ... Nah... The pure awesomeness of it still won! Besides, of all the ways to die... that one wasn't a bad one!
"I'm sure there'd be ways around that... I mean a crime fighting pterodactyl... isn't that different from a big family of crime fighting bats... is it?" .. It was... it really was... but Gar wasn't quite ready to let go of the idea just yet, and his face broke into another one of his enthusiastic grins. "Oh! I'd just need a bat sign! You know... Like Pterodactyl bat armor! Bulletproof! and Fashionable!"
Gars mind was already racing through all kinds of cool ways of making Pterodactyl armor, and though all of them where fashionable, none of them where particular sensible or... effective... or... even possible... It didn't stop him for a second though. The idea was too fun. It didn't really matter if it was practical, or even realistic... not all plans had to be put into action... sometimes it was enough that they where... amusing as hell.

Tim could see from the huge grin plastered across the face of Garfield that he was starting to get a little bit carried away with the Pterodactyl idea. It was cool, obviously. “Pterodactyl armour?”. Tim asked with a raised eyebrow as Garfield went on rambling about his varying ideas. It had to be the silliest idea that Tim had heard in a long time, and the Cave was in need of some silly antics.
But there was one glaring point that had seemed to go unnoticed. Fortunately enough though, Tim was happy to chime in with what that is. “I just see... one teeny little problem with that, Gar’”. Tim would add, a faint smirk appearing on his face as he would go on to reveal what it appeared Garfield hadn’t. “Call me crazy but, wouldn’t Pterodactyl armour kind of… y’know, defeat the whole point of turning into one?”. Pterodactyl’s are meant to be strong anyway, right? Surely they have enough armour as it is with accessorising – though a Pterodactyl with a cowl would be… as Bart would say; ‘crash’.
”I suppose there are Pterodactyl gadgets as well?”. Just as Bruce liked to add ‘Bat’ in front of everything, Tim somehow got the feeling that Garfield would love to do much the same. ”Pterodactyl-arang?”. Tim would say, a first suggestion as a gadget to be part of Garfield’s new found armoury. Though one has to wonder how a Pterodactyl would fair at lumping around a dozen or so gadgets.

Gar opened his mouth in order to come with some snappy comeback to the gunned down idea about the Pterodactyl armor... Yet for once nothing seemed to come to him, and he ended up sitting with a slightly painful frown and a vacant stare, looking like he was trying to catch flies with his open mouth, while his game toon was blown to bits on the screen. ... That was something Gar hadn't thought about... The uselessness of a pterodactyl in armor... thinking about it... how would you make armor for the wings? Would it even be able to take off? ... damn...
His shoulders slumped and he visible sank a few inches with a sad little sound. "...shucks... It was such a good idea too..." He let the controller drop into his lap while he flailed a little dramatically with his arms, "... damn logic..." Despite his dramatic little act however, it was clear that he wasn't really taking it to heart. Gar was hardly a type to be truly discouraged by something as silly as that.
His eyes lid up again however, as Tim ranted on about the gadgets... Dino Gadgets... Pterodactyl gadgets! "Pterodactyl -arang! Sweeet!" Man! Now that was an awesome idea! He pondered it for a second letting his mind run crazy with it, the grin slowly reappearing on his features... then it faded and he sighed dramatically again... Nah... wouldn't work either... There was a very unhandy.. lack of hands... on a Pterodactyl. "...It wouldn't really work would it? Bah... I guess I'll have to wait with being part of the bat team huh?" He shook his head with another grin and flomped back against the couch, offering the controller back to Tim, thinking he might be missing his game by now.
"Why do all the good ideas have to be discarded! simple because they don't work...?"

Tim was certainly happy to once again take a hold of the controller. Garfield had done fairly well in truth, but it was now time for the pro to take center stage. Immediately did Tim find himself quickly entering the various menu systems within the game to customize the loadout to how he liked it. It was a fairly straight forward process, as Tim knew what he wanted and didn’t have to waste a second thought regarding any choice that he made. That was something that came with experience, very much the Dark Knight equivalent within this virtual world.
”I don’t know why you’re so down about it”. Tim would say, twitching the thumb sticks and clicking the triggers as he blew the opposition in front of him away as though they were nothing. ”You can turn into a dinosaur or whatever, whenever you want…”. Tim would say, taking a brief pause as he blasted another few people’s toons away. ”That’s badass”. Tim would add, a small smile appearing on the face of the Boy Wonder. Not once so far had he turned to look at Garfield. His eyes were firmly fixated upon the television screen, his eyes narrowed as an indication of just how focused Tim was. He was in the zone right now, told by the kill feed in the corner of the screen.
”If I could do that? I would… I dunno”. Another brief pause as Tim fired away shots into the distance at another player who was fortunate to get away – though Tim wouldn’t give up, he would give chase. ”Swim around the World… Drop a deuce on the Batmobile”. Of course, he would learn to regret the latter choice – hopefully it doesn’t give Garfield any ideas. ”But, instead; I’m just sat here, playing video games…”. Tim would then press down the trigger with intent as he fired off a rocket towards the player he had been chasing. It hit, sending the guy flying off into the distance in tiny pieces. ”I’m too good”. Tim would add as the game ended and the scoreboard popped up. 37;0 – not bad, not bad at all.
