Gotham
Naturally Bart had stopped off to bag of chips for himself since he had spent most of the day out and about, first at school and then running a thousand miles across the country burns a fair amount of calories, but it was no biggie, just the usual. Technically he should’ve bought something with a little more nutrition but it was late and basically everywhere was shut, also it was an unfamiliar city so he just took what he could and went on his way. Besides, he was still hanging onto the hope that Robin would feed him.
After restocking on fuel, knowing well enough that it wasn’t safe to be going around as a civilian, he took back to the streets still garbed in his usual get up. Of course he hadn’t come to Gotham for the scenery, it didn’t seem all too great night anyway from Bart’s perspective, but he had come to see fellow teammates, or as many as he could find along his travels. There was probably was an easier way to get from Central City to Gotham, but no way would be as quick as Bart’s.
Gotham was a massive city and it seemed even more endless in the dark, though he supposed it did have three vigilantes protecting it. Central City was a fair bit different, for starters he actually spent most of his nights sleeping more or less rather than out on the streets with the scum of the city as the Bat family seemed to do. You had to give them credit for it, but it just wasn’t the same city. Although, it was hard to be stealthy and mysterious when you wore bright yellow. But the capes were definitely cool, not aerodynamic, but still cool.
Trying to find someone in this labyrinth of a city was proving somewhat difficult though. Bart wasn’t sure where to start looking, rooves maybe? They hung out on rooves right? If only he could’ve just turned up at the Batcave… but Robin had graciously said that there was a strict policy for who entered the Batcave, but that was probably just a ‘No Barts allowed’ thing.
Barbara was next on the list, Bart didn’t particularly want to run into the big bad Bat himself, frankly he was quite scary. He had passed through Blüdhaven on the way here but made no effort to stop to even look for Dick. He didn’t think Nightwing would exactly be ecstatic to see Kid Flash for many, many reasons. Barbara however, she was great, Bart really liked her, even if the feeling wasn’t exactly mutual all of the time. That said, he liked anyone on the team really, if they were on the team then they had something in common and that was good enough for him.
Luckily with the ability to perceive things a lot quicker than a normal human, in a matter of moments he had found Batgirl on the roof of a building on the high street. It was times like these he wished he had the gadgets Robin had. Instead Bart took a few steps back before running at the wall, then up it before launching himself at Batgirl with his arms out stretched.
“Baaaa—“ he quickly corrected himself in order to stop himself revealing her secret identity in public, just in case “-atgirl!”
