August 25th
The assassin had been busy as of late, jobs had been coming her way at a faster rate than usual and while Jade was a bit suspicious of that fact she had weighed her options. She needed the money, the more money she had saved the less time she would have to send Lian away while she went out and worked and that was worth any potential risk but, that didn’t mean her guard was down any less.
Jade had left their daughter with Roy when she left for Metropolis on her current job, it was only for a week or two as the job required a bit of following and investigating beforehand. Something that had caused many a fights between her and her husband when Jade had broke the news to him. For days the two of them had yelled and screamed at each other, argued about how irresponsible she had been, how selfish she was being. Jade did not stand for it thou. If Roy had been more put together in his life, if he had stopped wallowing in his self pity and had actually been there for his family then she wouldn't have had to do what she had done. She wouldn't have had to take the jobs she did and wouldn't be in this mess to begin with and she had made her opinions known. It hadn't helped their current situation but she was not going to shoulder all the blame for this when it was equally both of their faults.
Days went by and after a few particular fights and some decisions Roy and Jade had decided to do what they could to make things work for the time being and if that meant Jade had to had to keep doing what she was doing then so be it. He had no right to judge her because he knew who she was before they even had their idea to marry and when she left him he knew she had gone back to her way of life. It was bittersweet but it was what was best. Before she left for Metropolis however, Jade wanted to spend one last day with Lian before she left since she never knew if she would be coming back. Hey, Jade wasn’t a fool and she knew her reputation.
She arrived at Roy's apartment that morning and picked up Lian for their mother daughter date. Jade had a busy day planned. The Zoo, the park, she had even planned on getting her daughter a pet. Something that Roy would just have to deal with. The girl deserved something to love. Jade and Artemis were never allowed pets when they were children and all she had ever wanted as a child was a pet cat of her own and she was going to give that to her daughter.
After spending the better part of the morning and early afternoon at the zoo Jade had brought Lian to one of Star Cities many public parks. The two played on the swings for a bit, the merrygoround, went down slides and Jade had even helped Lian across the monkeybars. Holding the girl up as she 'swung' from bar to bar. After a few hours of play Jade needed a rest; give her sneaking into a high security building, running along rooftops, fighting 10 men and she was fine but chasing a toddler around was a different kind of challenge. Setting Lian down in the sandbox to play with some of the other children Jade sat herself down on a park bench that was nearby and watched. She watched as her daughter made quick friends with a young boy that looked to be around the same age and how the two started digging and building in the sand, something that had brought a smile to Jades face. Lian already was making friends and the mother hoped that it would be a trend that continued.
After a while of playing in the sandbox Jade decided that it would be a good time to try to wear her daughter out a little more so she would go down for her nap later without a fuss. Taking Lian from the sandbox Jade took her daughter for a walk through one of the nature paths in the park, listening to the child babble on and chase after random butterflies or stop to pick dandylions on the side of the trail. Jade's motherly pride bubble was quickly popped however when she saw a familiar figure standing in the shadows of some of the trees and she sighed while straightening her back and readjusting the black ball cap she was wearing. It could never be just a normal day with her could it? I suppose this isn't a unlikely coincidence? she asked flatly as the person approached. And just when her day had been going so well...

Image after image after image, It sent a look of displeasure on Bruce's face well a more displeasured look than usual that is. He sat before the main computer looking at all the images he had taken with one of his Tiny RCB's (remote, controled,Batcam) It would've been understandable if it happened it only one place but it wasn't in the least , it happened everywhere and anywhere at random. Bruce could track patterns pretty well and so forth but there was absolutely no pattern here. Kill after kill with nearly no sign of evidence or being traceable to a source , this wasn't anything a rookie or a rage driven person could have pulled off. These were clean kills unlike the usual revenge or hate based crimes there was no bludgeoning or extra blood shed luckily they were Nearly untraceable, Bruce had snuck In during investigations and got blood and saliva tests. Luckily all of them tested positive for 3 types of signature venom.... types only one person usues. With a deep felt sigh and a face palm he spoke to himself before petting Ace one of the best trained dogs around. And here I thought she was done She had taken quite a long break thanks to Roy and if Bruce really had the time or was that type of person he would have thanked him personally. Appearently it didn't last though, for one person she was quite a lot of trouble and on several occasions the team had tried to stop and capture her and Yet she was still out there and now that she had a child it was a much more delicate situation, One Bruce thought he would handle personally. He got up from his arm chair and took a last sip of the coffee Alfred prepared for him without Bruce really asking, Alfred always made the best coffee but Bruce hated to worry him by asking for things like that. After the last Sip Bruce went off to suit upBruce finished quite quickly making sure to pack the propper gear for an opponent of her level, As always the Batjet was ready as he hopped in and flew off. It wasn't his style to travel in daylight but you never really get to stay in your element as he flew out of Gotham city above the speed of any usual jet. In no time he made his way to Star city and began looking for her and making a few stops . Just then his detective insticnt kicked in and he remembered she had a child so the park was the most obvious place to check, Luckily it was crossing from midday to afternoon as he arrived. It looked as if he brought a shade of darkness as he arrived at the park and Parked the jet in on a large plain of grass as it roared and blew some wind. Just then he noticed Cheshire or Jade as Roy knew her , he realized the child she was looking at with adoration and a proud smile and was able to quickly make out the fact that it was her daughter sitting in the sandbox, playing and giggling freely as he stopped near the sandbox and looked at the child with a slight smile Before turning toward her with a more serious look as he walked past the child. To not blow her cover he stopped himself from calling her Cheshire Jade,I believe we have a few things we should talk about His voice was slightly serious and his look had been drained of the slight smile he got from watching her daughter and another child her age playing.

A little far from Gotham, don't you think?. Jade answered quickly when Batman spoke to her. Seeing him outside of Gotham and in the middle of the day was enough cause for alarm but everything told her that if he had wanted to take her in he would have done it and she did not want to give him a chance to do just that. "We have nothing to discuss, unless you are here to hire me. There was a challenging gleam in her eye, Jade enjoyed pushing buttons. Even if those buttons belonged to The Batman. If not, then if you don't mind we would like to get back to our walk. Jade took Lians hand and started walking once more, looking to put as much distance between her and the Dark Knight as possible.
