24. Villain
-------------------------------------------------------------------
ALIAS(ES): Blackfire, Kom, Princess Komand’r
BIRTHDAY: May 3rd 1993
BIRTHPLACE: Tamaran
CURRENT: Based in Las Vegas, Earth
FAMILY:
• Mother: Queen Luand’r (deceased)
• Father: King Myand’r (deceased)
• Siblings: Koriand’r aka Starfire; younger sister
Ryand’r aka Wildfire; younger brother
ALLIANCE: The Light; Shadow Squad
RANK: Former Champion of the Dark Side Club
POWER:Tamaran Physiology; Being Tamaranean, Komand’r is naturally gifted with powers that make her ‘better’ than humans. While she may not look physically threatening, her physiology alone grants her what would be classed on earth as super strength and durability giving her the ability to survive even in the vacuums of space.
Flight; With the ultraviolet energy naturally absorbed by Tamaranean’s, this energy can be transferred into the ability to fly.
Star Bolts; Komand’r has the ability to shoot energy blasts from her hands and eyes which are purple in colour. These are, like flight, fuelled by the ultraviolet energy absorbed by her skin naturally and can range in power at the users will and from their emotions.
Language Acquisition; Blackfire is able to learn any known languages by someone that she makes lip contact with no matter what their nationality or race.
Emotional Energy; While not necessarily a power on its own, Tamaraneans have a strong link between their powers and their emotions in the sense that they fuel them to a degree. Anger and fury will increase the strength and amplitude of her star bolts, high levels of confidence will boost her physical strength and feelings of joy and elation will enhance her flight abilities.
BLOOD TYPE: Unknown type to humans
ORIENTATION: A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
COLOR(S): Black and silver with accents of purple.
UNIFORM: While Komand’r generally doesn’t require any sort of uniform while on earth for protective purposes, she does still don one for most planned missions as it is befitting for a warrior to wear one, and that is something that the Tamaranean’s were once renown for. Wearing a skin tight, all black leotard type body suit her neck and collar are concealed behind metal almost armour like plates that remain close to her skin, as are her arms. Similarly the same material forms a belt around her waist of several bands also leading to the small skirt, also of black, that overlays the body suit. Her legs are pretty much entirely covered by the thigh high black boots which are as tall as the hem of her skirt, also topped with the familiar silver metal trim.
She doesn’t wear this all the time however and has much enjoyed exploring the styles and fashions of Earth. While she is definitely not adverse to getting dressed up for special occasions but she certainly doesn’t feel the need to wrap up warm in cold weathers as this does not really affect her courtesy of the solar energy stored in her body so she doesn’t feel it, even if not dressing appropriately in the impending cold weather does cause her to stand out at times. In fact when she has no reason to be wearing something in particularly she has a habit of not covering up too much for the practical reason that when her skin is exposed, she is able to naturally absorb energy from the earth’s sun whenever it is shining.
DESCRIPTION: Standing at 6’2, Komand’r’s height isn’t the only thing that makes her somewhat stick out of the usual earth crowd. The natural pigment of her skin has a somewhat more orange tint to it than would be natural to a human as is common for her race. Her eyes are of a vivid purple colour, even the sclera’s seem to have a faint purple hue to it but these change when she is using her UV energy based powers. Her entire eye, pupils, iris and sclera take the same vivid purple colour and has a distinct glow, identical in colour and luminescence to her star bolts. Her hair is normally worn lose and straight, and appears at first to be jet black in colour, although at closer look or in the right light it can be seen that it has a rich purple shine to it. Most distinctively, when emotions are extremely high, and especially if she is harnessing them with her powers at this time the ends of her hair take on the appearance and texture of flames while never truly burning away.
While her features may be considered different to those of humans, there is no denying that despite their odd pigments and compositions in all other aspects she would easily be deemed as beautiful by traditional earth standards. Whether her hour glass figure is wearing her uniform, to an elegant dress to simply shorts and a tee shirt she naturally holds herself with a certain grace which could be described as quite regal in feel; something that comes naturally to her with her lineage and her training from a young age to become the next Queen of Tamaran. With this added to the feline grace common in Tamaranean’s due to their descendants she is certainly able to turn heads with little effort.

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Fear: To be forgotten and never claim what is rightfully hers.
Desire: To regain her rightful place as Queen of the Tamaran race.
HABITS: She has always had a bad habit of internally looking down on people, and that is certainly no different now she is on earth and surrounded by an ‘inferior’ species; not that she ever let’s this show for others to see. When she is bored which courtesy of the shadow squad and the electrifying life that las vegas provides isn’t as often as she anticipated it would be, she can nine times out of ten be found simply relaxing somewhere sunny, simply enjoying the energy.
PET PEEVE: There is little that irritates Blackfire more than what would be called ‘goody goody’ people. People in fact who are exactly like her younger sister.
TRAITS: Before you can truly try and dissect the personality of Komand’r, it must first be understood that she is exceptionally talented at only letting people see or believe of her what she wants them too. She is exceptionally manipulative and happily uses this skill of hers to get herself further in life with little to no regard of how this ends up affecting others. After all, she was able to convince her own sister to sacrifice herself for slavery to a race she had in fact worked with to invade her home planet just to hurry along her reign over her people and remove any probable hiccups.
For when it is required, she has no qualms with showing herself to be the true pinnacle of humanity. Considerate and caring she is very good at this act when it will help her and it has come in useful many a time, if for nothing more than concealing her true beliefs and intentions. No matter how convincing this ‘nice’ act may be, there is no denying the truth behind her. Good people, after all, do not end up imprisoned for crimes of war. At her core she is vindictive and cruel, egotistical and narcissistic. She would sacrifice her entire family, and has, just to see herself in her ideal position of power; a position in which she has utter control over everything before her. The only time the truth can only be revealed against her will is to study her abilities. Growing up and training, she was regarded as one of the physically strongest Tamaran’s her age and the force of her star bolts is phenomenal. However when it came to flight, she could never be as fast or agile as her sister.
There are certainly other parts of her personality that shine through at times. She is naturally quite a flirtatious person and now that she is on Earth she likes to dip her toes in to whatever takes her fancy if truth be told. Let’s just say, a lot can be said for her flirtatiousness by how broad her linguistic knowledge is. Since becoming a part of the Shadow Squad, earth is being exposed to just how ruthless she can be. While not been show to its true potential since joining the team, glimpses have definitely been seen. Speaking of the Shadow Squad, while joining a team of other people and ‘following orders’ isn’t the sort of position she would normally take on, it isn’t being done out of weakness or to be a sheep joining a herd. Her position on the squad isn’t one she has been co-erced or manipulated into but is, as should really be expected, one in order to serve a greater person. She isn’t a mindless drone of the light, and is instead assisting them in order for her own personal gain and if they don’t hold up their end of the bargain? Well, she has had people killed for less.

HISTORY:
The first child born to King Myand’r and Queen Luand’r, Princess Komand’r was bestowed with the love of Tamaran and her parents and was set on the path to becoming the heir to the throne of Tamaran. She was taught as a child what would become hers and soon picked up the knowledge of how to keep the adoration of people, how to remain the perfect child that people would look forward to taking the role of Queen.
After several years, her first sibling was born; another princess with the name Koriand’r. Over the years they both proceeded to grow into the people they would become as well as being joined by a younger brother. While her sister was soon becoming the poster child for a ‘good princess’ she was find it more and more of an act keeping the same illusion up. While they grew close as sisters, unbeknownst to Kori, Komand’r began to grow somewhat disdainful of her younger sibling. What came so naturally to her was what would make people want to follow her, and it just fed the growing irritation deep within her.
When she was a late teenager, the annoyance became to much and had begun to cause Komand’r to grow somewhat paranoid that her sister may take the role of Queen from her, that the public would want her instead of she how was the rightful heir and her true nature became revealed. After secretly conspiring with the Citadel and the Gordanian’s, an attack on Tamaran was planned. The Gordanian’s would appear, kill the king and queen and would be rewarded with the youngest princess of the planet for their actions which would leave Komand’r to take up her position as Queen. It all went off according to plan, the Gordanian Army appeared, killed the current rulers and as promised, Komand’r managed to convince her younger sister to sacrifice herself to them in order to spare the rest of Tamaran.
Unfortunately for Komand’r, somehow her involvement of being the main player in this plan was discovered and she was taken from Tamaran, with no word to the people of where their new Queen was taken, and was tried and convicted for her War Crimes resulting in her being locked up in a high security prison a galaxy away.
She was in there for several years, and had she not been as manipulative and powerful as she was it would have been brutal. Over the years she had an abundance of time for her anger and fury to simmer and grow until one day her and the rest of the prisoners were very unexpectedly provided their freedom. No-one knew on the inside what was going on when War World decimated the prison allowing freedom to everyone within, but they certainly weren’t questioning it. Some were just relieved for the freedom and took it without question, but Komand’r had more questions. Why now? She wanted to know why it had happened. Had there been someone in there they wanted out? Just being free wasn’t enough for the alien.
And so began her hunt, to find out what the cause of her release was. After months of inquisition and travelling, a name finally started coming up more and more frequently to the point it couldn’t have been mere coincidence and she was crossing galaxy’s in search of ‘The Light.’ She ended up on Earth, but her trail was far from cold. She was questioning anyone who may have had even a slither of information and it wasn’t long until she found herself in Las Vegas. A series of trails later, which unbeknownst to her had been put in place by the light since they had been tracking the alien’s movements once she came onto their planet led her underground to something she hadn’t even imagined. She had to have been close.
As people fought violently to the cheering of the crowd, this wasn’t a situation in which she could get answers. Descending upon what she supposed was their arena, a few eyebrows were raised at the sudden appearance of the woman but all eyes were on her as her eyes glowed a magnificent purple, a bright blast of the same colour completely incinerating one of the fighters and severely injuring the other. It certainly got their attention.
After meeting with the Light, she got the chance to ask her questions and they of course asked their own. They were intelligent, and she liked that, they were people who knew how to get what they wanted not unlike herself. A deal was struck, if she could prove to them she was capable of what she claimed and aided them, they in return would help her reclaim Tamaran for herself as she deserved. It wasn’t difficult, this Dark Side Club that they had her compete in, few proved to be anything near a challenge to Blackfire and she soon took the title of the Champion, and was thus inducted into the Shadow Squad where she would assist in their missions for the Light. It was only a small little group when she first joined, she was the fourth member and provided a much different skill set to what they already had. Over the next four months they would go about their work, her strength and ruthlessness shining as more and more individuals joined their ranks, a true force to be reckoned with.
