Flexible armour plating protects Bruce's chest, back, and shoulders. The plating is composed of lightweight Kevlar reinforced with Carbon composites and metal polymers. The armour is heat, shock, impact, and radiation resistant, plus it also provides protection against explosions and firearms.
The boots and gauntlets are composed of the same materials as Bruce's body armour. The joints in the gauntlets' fingers and wrists are reinforced for additional protection, and the boots are specifically designed to protect Bruce's feet and ankles from feeling the effects of large leaps or falls. The boots also possess steel toes, to help Bruce pack more of a punch whilst kicking. The gauntlet for his left hand contains a small touch computer to control other functions of his suit, while the gauntlet on his right hand contains a set of sharp "teeth", that can be used as a melee weapon or launched outwards as projectiles.
Bruce's cape serves three functions. Firstly, the cape provides a night-black cloak to assist Bruce in blending into the darkness. Secondly, the cape serves as a decoy and distraction during combat, making it difficult to hit Bruce. Thirdly, with a touch of a button Bruce can cause a small current to run through his cape, stiffening it, which allows him to glide larhe distances.
Bruce's utility belt contains several gadgets, including: Batarangs, Ultrasonic Bat Beacon, Grappling Gun, Smoke Pellats, Bat-Cuffs, Stun Grenades, Bat-Tracer, Bat-Taser, Explosive Gell, Collapsible Tranquilizer Rifle, Lockpicks, and an Underwater Breathing Device.
The helmet is made of the same materials as the rest of Bruce's armour, though it is also lined with lead to prevent villains from learning Bruce's true identity. The helmet contains goggles that provide access to ultraviolet vision, infared vision, and night-vision. The goggle also have built-in facial recognition software. The helmet also has a small radio, allowing Bruce to communicate with team members or listen to certain radio frequencies. The helmet filters the air Bruce breathes, protecting him from airbourne toxins. Lastly, the helmet contains a voice changer, further protecting Bruce's identity.

Fear: Bruce's biggest fear is failure. The things he is most afraid of failing are living up to his parent's legacy, saving Gotham, protecting the world, and protecting his loved ones. Bruce is also afraid of getting close to someone, and will often push others away when he finds himself growing close with them.
Desire: Bruce's deepest desire is be like his deceased father. Thomas Wayne was a good man who did god things for the world, and Bruce wants to live up to his father's legacy. It is Bruce's aspiration to save Gotham from the city's own vile corruption, and provide hope for the city's innocent citizens.
HABITS: Bruce has the habit of being very serious and direct. He only tells others what he feels they need to know, and nothing more. He also has the habit of simply noticing small details. Bruce is very observant, and often spots even the smallest details hidden in the world around him. Bruce is a man of routine, and is schedule is often the same nearly every day.
PET PEEVE: Bruce is extremely annoyed by people who waste time or resources, because Bru e believes in doing things as efficiently as possibls. He hates when an issie seems to have no solution, or when a situation makes no logical sense. Finally, of course Bruce hates crime and corruption, and has dedicated his life to fighting crime.

TRAITS: On the exterior, Bruce appears to be a calm, collected, and suave young man. Bruce is quite charming when interacting with others, and always seems to know the right things to say. Bruce's confidence and intelligence are clear to everyone he interacts with, and to most he seems open as a book. Bruce has the unique ability to sound both blunt and eloquent at the same time. Many people will easily be able to deduce that Bruce is rich, even without knowing who he is, by reading how he always expects the situation to swing his way. Bruce appears to be a winner, and he always gets what he wants. Bruce emits an aura that broadcasts that he has the world at his fingertips, and is ready to enjoy every minute of it.
The truth is, the personality Bruce adopts when interacting with others is very different from who he really is. From a young age, Bruce was always curious and inquisitive. He loved learning how things worked, and his parents fed his curiosity by providing him with all of the information he could ever want. More importantly, Bruce's parents taught him the value of kindness and compassion. From his father, Bruce learned how to search for the goodness present in every person, and Bruce continues to search for the goodness in the world to this day.
Bruce can be described as both a perfectionist and an elitist. He believes that he is capable of perfection, and is determined to improve himself physically and mentally every day. Bruce's determination and strong work ethic are important aspects of his character. Bruce's pursuit of perfection has led him to also become an elitist. Bruce believes that he is superior to everyone else, and acts accordingly. Fortunately, Bruce's sense of responsibility matches his ego, and he believes that it is up to him to save Gotham.
While Bruce seems to be relaxed and comfortable in the presence of others, nothing could be further from the truth. Bruce is actually a social outcast, and only through his intense study of human interactions is he able to pretend to be the charismatic playboy he claims to be. In fact, Bruce craves time when he can be alone, and would prefer to live a life secluded from the rest of society.
Both a paranoid realist and a hopeful idealist, Bruce is tormented by his own conflicting views on people and society. As a realist, Bruce sees the corruption and potential for evil withing everyone he meets. As an idealist, he believes that everyone has the ability to seek and find redemption, and that everything corrupt has a chance to become pure again. Bruce is psychologically unstable. His constant struggle to bring perfection to an imperfect world is a constant burden on his inner psyche. Furthermore, Bruce suffers from paranoia and social anxiety.
Bruce possesses his own unique code of honour. He highly values virtues such as loyalty, personal freedom, and compassion. Despite his own aspirations, Bruce holds little respect for authority, and makes decisions based off of his own set of ethics rather than the common laws and expectations of society.
As Batman, Bruce is known for his intense seriousness and unyielding will. Bruce has the conviction to never stray from his beliefs. When dealing with others, Bruce likes to take charge, though he is often abrupt and mysterious, rarely spending the time needed to fully explain the situation. As a principle, Bruce prefers logical thinking over emptional thinking, and aims to help the world as efficiently as possible.

HISTORY: The Wayne family is own of the oldest, wealthiest, and most renown families in Gotham. The Wayne family legacy is one of nobility and philanthropy. Wayne Enterprises is one of Gotham's most well-reputed and successfull buisnesses. Thomas Wayne was an accomplished doctor and surgeon, known for his rare kindness and compassion. During his lifetime, Thomas founded many charities dedicated to the improvement of Gotham and the betterment of the lives of her people. When Thomas met Martha, it was love at first site. The couple married, and soon Martha gave birth to a son named Bruce Wayne.
During his early years, Bruce was very curious and inquisitive, always hungry for knowledge and a. It soon became clear that Bruce possessed a very bright intellect. His parents encouraged Bruce by constantly bringing him books to read as well as an endless amount of puzzles and riddles to solve. The most important things Thomas taught Bruce were compassion and kindness. From his father, Bruce learned how to be selfless and care about other people, and the example Thomas set still influences Bruce's decisions today. Growing up, Bruce's parents not only made sure his every need was taken after, but they also provided him with unconditional love. The one thing his parents could not provide him was friends. Bruce enjoyed spending time either alone, or with his parents and the family butler, Alfred, more than he did with other children his age. A loner, Bruce did not spend much time with the few friends he did have.
When he was six, Bruce was playing tag with one of his few friends when he accidently fell down to the bottom of a dried-up well. Bruce did not fall a great distance, only enough to earn a broken arm and mild concussion, but the well he had fallen into was connected to an underground cave system, and each cavern was full of sleeping bats. Bruce's landing had disturbed the little creatures, and they had taken flight from their nests, flapping their leathery wings and screeching like demons. The bats had descended on Bruce, covering him with their wriggling little bodies as he screamed and cried and struggled. The bats did not harm Bruce, but he was terrified just the same. Then the bats flew up and out of the well, leaving Bruce lying alone in the darkness. His father would eventually rescue him and tend to his minor injuries, but for the first time in his life, Bruce felt real fear.
The incident forced Bruce to withdraw deeper within himself. He became paranoid and frightful. He was afraid of the outdoors, he was afraid of the shadows, and most of all, he was afraid of bats. Bruce spoke even less than he had before. He lost what friends he had, and soon became a primary target for bullies. It was during this time that Bruce was first exposed to humanity's capacity for cruelty.
When he was eight, Bruce's parents took him to see a movie. After the show, Bruce and his parents were walking down an alley when they were suddenly stopped by a man demanding Thomas' wallet and Martha's pearls. The man was armed with a gun. Thomas and Martha cooperated with the man, but he was high on crack at the time, and thought he saw Thomas make a move. The mugger shot both Thomas and Martha before vanishing back into the darkness of the alley. Bruce's parents were dead by the time EMS showed up.
After witnessing the brutal murder of his parents, Bruce was hit with an onslaught of intense emotions. He swore to get revenge on the man that killed his parents, and also swore that he woulddo whatever it took to prevent what happened to him and his parents happen to anyone else. Bruce soon fell into a grief-filled depression. He had lost the two most important people in his life, and felt lost and confused and alone. The next four years of Bruce's life were brutal. His fears devolved into outright paranoia, and the heartache he felt over losing his parents threatened to swallow him whole.
Alfred Pennyworth became Bruce's legal guardian after the death of Bruce's parents, while Lucious Fox would become the CEO of Wayne Enterprises until Bruce was old enough to claim his birthright. Fearing for Bruce, Alfred used the Wayne family's fortune to hire several prominient child psychologists to help treat Bruce's mental trauma. The treatments were mostly successfull.
When he was twelve, Bruce ran away from his home in Gotham, taking nothing but the clothes on his back and a picturs of his two deceased parents. Many believed he had been kidnapped or killed, and in fact, he was legally declared dead several years after his departure.
After leaving Gotham, Bruce lived homeless in the United States, Central America, and then South America. Living among criminals, Bruce developed an intimate understanding of how the criminal mind works, and even became a criminal himself. By leaving his comfortable life in Gotham behind, Bruce learned how to do whatever it takes to survive.
When Bruce was fourteen, he was discovered by a Frenchman, Henri Ducard, in a South American backwater town. Ducard had made a fortune hunting international criminals, but was growing old and wanted someone to continue his legacy. Ducard decided to adopt Bruce and train Bruce in the skills needed to fight crime. While living with Ducard, Bruce went by the name Sam Penn.
At first, Ducard arranged for Bruce to spend three years training in Asia. Bruce's training in Asia mostly consisted of physical training as he prepared his body to fight international crime. Bruce learned under several skilled Martial Arts masters, and earned a black belt in Ninjutsu, and Jujutsu. Bruce also trained as an acrobat, as well as parkour.
Secondly, Ducard brought Bruce to Africa for another three years of training. In Africa, Bruce learned useful wilderness skills such as survival, tracking, and how to use a firearm. Bruce was also put through gruelling physical training and intense mental conditioning while in Africa, conditioning that helped him develop his indomitable will and endurance. Buce began his stealth training in Africa, and was eventually capable of stalking wildlife for hours without being spotted.
Thirdly, Bruce was brought to Europe, where he attended several universities to learn about biology, chemistry, mechanical engineering, buisness, computer science, and linguistics. Bruce also studied useful detectivs skills, such as forensics, inductive reasoning, and criminal psychology. Finally, Bruce used his time in Europe to refine his social skills and learn how to read others, allowing him to shine in social interactions.
When Bruce's training was complete, he worked with Ducard for two years hunting dangerous international criminals, and gained much experience. Sadly, Ducard became ill from a powerful sickness, and eventually died.
At the age of 25, Bruce finally returned to Gotham. He enjoyed a happy reunion with Alfred, and reclaimed his inheritance, which included Wayne Manor, Wayne Enterprises, and bilions of dollars. Bruce claimed to have attended school in Switzerland since his disappearance thirteen years ago, and Alfred back up Bruce's story.
Soon Bruce discovered a problem in Gotham. The once glorious city had fallen away to corruption and despair. Crime ran rampant, and the Falcone mob basically ruled Gotham through fear. Bruce realized that someone needed to make a change. The police were either corrupted or overwhelmed by the mob, and criminals lurked in every shadow.
In an effort to continue his father's legacy, Bruce decided to attempt to win back the shadows for the people of Gotham, and save his city from the fear and corruption that threatened to drown it. Bruce armed himself with several high-tech military prototypes, and began his vigilante career.
Bruce realized that there was no way he could possible fight every crime himself, and so he determined that he must fight crime through fear and intimidation. He themed his vigilante persona after a bat to strike fear into the heart of every potential criminal, and Batman was born.
Batman would need allies, and so he decided to ally himself with Commisioner Gordon of the GCPD and Harvey Dent, Gotham's District Attourney. Through this partnership, Batman would begin to fight back at the reputed Falcone mob.
Soon other villains began threatening Gotham, and Batman took it upon himself to stop them. He continued to evolve as a hero to combat the different villains that emerged.
Supervillains were not the only super-powered beings Batman needed to deal with; super-powered heroes began appearing as well. Batman was one of the founding members of the Justice League of America, an organization of superheroes dedicated to protecting the world.
As time passed on, Batman saw the need to mentor young heroes. The first hero he mentored was Dick Grayson, whom Bruce loved as a son. Unfortunately, Grayson began prioritizing other duties over being Batman's sidekick Robin, and so Batman forced Dick to abandon the Robin persona and become a hero in his own right. After Grayson, Batman took on a new Boy Wonder: Jason Todd. As it happened with Grayson, Batman soon began loving Todd as if the boy was Bruce's own son. Jason Todd continues to adopt the Robin persona to this day. Another young hero Batman is currently mentorin is Commissioner Gordon's own daughter, Barbara Gordon, also known as Batgirl.
Other heroes began gathering sidekicks as well, and Batman saw the potential to form a team of superhero sidekicks to assist the JLA in protecting the innocent. Batman served as a mentor and liason for the Youth Justice League.
After the team's success against Lex Luthor, Batman returned to Gotham to continue his fight against crime and corruption, while still continuing to fulfill his duties to the JLA and YJL; however, Batman has noticed that Lex is returning to his usual tricks, and is preparing for the day Lex makes his move.

RP SAMPLE: The night winds rustled silently over the rooftops of Gotham, gently lifting the edge of the Dark Knight's cape and causing it to flutter in the breeze.
Casting his gaze upwards, Bruce noted the complete absence of stars. When he had been younger, each star had shone brilliantly against the ominious canvas of black. Today, however, years of dehabilitating pollution had darkened Gotham's skies, and not a single star's radiant light was in sight.
Turning his attention down onto the streets below, Bruce drew in a deep breath. From his vantage point this high up, all of the cars below were mere shadows of their actual sizes, while the people themselves were hardly recognizeable.
Suddenly, Bruce surged forward. As he approached the edge of the building, the muscles in Bruce's legs and body tensed, preparing for the leap. As he exhaled, Bruce threw himself off of the building and into Gotham's night. His fingers darted to a button on his wrist, and his cape stiffened as an electric charge ran through it. Batman's fall began a glide, and it was almost as if he was floating magically through the air.
Below him, sat Gotham, one of the world's most dangerous and corrupt cities. A small shadow of a smile played on Bruce's lips. Tonight was another night where he could make a difference.
