SCARS AND MARKINGS: Numerous, mostly on his torso. Most have healed up rather well instead of leaving large, ugly wounds.

UNIFORM: He wears an armored, lightweight suit in black with more armor along the shoulders, elbows and knees. His gloves and boots have steel added to them for durability and damage. He wears a blue bird emblem on his torso, and then uses a domino mask to hide part of his face.
His suit is designed to be durable, although unable to stop blades or bullets. It gives him a good level of padding, and all of the mobility that he requires and is used to from his time as Robin and all of his acrobatic training.
DESCRIPTION: He stands at about six feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. His eyes are blue, his hair black and somewhat long. He has a well muscled, lean body.
He prefers to dress somewhat well, including a dress shirt and vest at least on some days, or just a v-neck of some sort to keep up a good civilian appearance. He favors blues.
PLAY-BY: Steven R McQueen

Fear: His primary fear is losing those close to him, and those who depend on him. He’s lost too many people, and couldn’t do anything about it. Now that he’s a leader he feels like he owes everyone his best, and while failure is natural, he can’t bare it. He needs to do everything for everyone, or what good is he?
Desire: He wants to keep his friends and loved ones safe. He knows that crime will always exist, so he hasn’t waged war against the common crime element yet, but he will do everything he can to stop Luthor at least for the sake of everyone.
HABITS: Dick has a habit of bringing some humor to otherwise tense and serious situations. He’ll gladly talk to others while fighting if he knows he has nothing to fear, and will just try to bring some lightheartedness to his friends and those who fight with him. He’s been known to talk to criminals as he takes them down, and gladly stands in stark contrast to Batman in that regard.
PET PEEVE: Being treated as a child or being kept out of the loop. This has changed as he’s grown older and become Nightwing, as now he’s being included and filled in on things a lot more. He also hates being compared to Batman, or being called an “heir” or the next Batman, because he’s his own man, not someone who will wear the suit someday.
STRENGTHS:
•Martial arts skills – various hand to hand styles, as well as weaponry (escrima) and use in throwing weapons
•Agility – after being in the circus for so long, as well as his training with Batman, he’s incredibly agile and limber and able to maneuver perfectly for his needs and outmaneuver others
•Intelligence – Dick is a rather intelligent man, after his schooling and his real world experience as Robin and Nightwing. He knows exactly what he’s doing for the most part, and is a rather skilled planner, so long as he has prep time to pull something off
•He can encourage others, through teaching, and through his words and lightening them up
WEAKNESSES:
•He has no superpowers or anything, and is limited to his martial ability
•He’s very human and emotional. He keeps it under control in the field, but everything slowly eats away at him
•Identity – a number of people call him the next Batman, or expect him to take over, and he doesn’t want that. But at the same time he can’t let people down, and he knows Bruce can’t do his work forever…
•Alone – while he has a team, and friends, he’s rather alone. He lost his family, he has a series of rotating women in his life in the past, he’s actually rather lonely
TRAITS:
Dick’s life has been filled either with courage or stupidity. He prefers to think of it as the former, although courage has its limits. He can still feel fear, and knows that fear is healthy, but he doesn’t want to let it show. He struggles to find a line between being a fearless leader and mentor, and being a human and friend for his allies and those who work for the Team. He’s afraid of failing them.
Despite his fears, he’s incredibly determined. No, it’s in spite of his fears. He has to follow through, or people will suffer. He’s seen too much of that over his life, and won’t let it happen to others. He’s lost too much already and knows what it feels like. He’ll put himself out there for almost anyone who doesn’t have the power to do things themselves, or is failing to do so.
He’s rather humorous and light hearted, and will have fun in the field, unlike Batman. It’s something of a distancing mechanism he thinks, just as much as it’s a part of himself. He just wants to be known as Nightwing, not the next Batman, or something like that.
That being said, he has an issue with comparisons to Bruce or Batman. He loves the man like a father, and he taught Dick everything he knows, but Dick wants to stand on his own and not be weighed down by a legacy he knows he can’t live up to.
He has a good relationship with women, and is something of an accidental lady’s man. He doesn’t really know how it happens, it just does. Of course, there are relationships he tries to put effort into, but if they happen or not varies, just like any other relationship in life for people. He’s very much a lover, and he’s an incredible man who will always be there for them.

HISTORY:
Dick was born within Haly’s Circus and from an early point in his life he became a performer and acrobat with his family. He loved it, and everything was good, until age nine, when his parents were killed in a performance due to the meddling of mafia members who wanted money from the circus. Dick wanted to go to the police after having witnessed the mafia guys talking, but Batman intervened. The two bonded and came together, and Dick became Robin after some time and training.
The two worked together until age thirteen, and even took down the head mafia member responsible for Dick’s parents deaths. After this, Robin along with other sidekicks expected to become Justice League members, not realize how foolish it sounded. They were given the truth of the situation, and then Robin and the others went rogue and formed their own team.
Between July 2010 and January 2011, the Team took on various missions for the Justice League and did some investigating into the Light. Eventually the Justice League was brainwashed and the Team had to save them. From that point on Robin became somewhat involved in the events of trying to determine some missing information.
During the next few years, Robin became Nightwing and took over leadership of the Team in Aqualad’s stead, after the two agreed for Aqualad to go into deep cover to infiltrate Black Manta’s ranks. Nightwing remained leader of the Team, keeping them in the dark as they continued to go up against the Light and other enemies who surfaced, trying to keep them all together. He also began to mentor Tim Drake as the third Robin.
Between January 2016 and July 2016, they continued to take on missions and investigate The Reach. Over the course of everything the Team suffered, and lost Wally as well. He chose to leave the Team for some time.
Over the course of months he began to lose it. He missed Wally, and he felt that he could have done something, as foolish as that notion was. He began to believe there was a way; perhaps a Lazarus Pit, or something else, but nothing ever came up that would work. Wally was gone.
Eventually Dick began to accept it, after going through a breakdown again. He’d lost too many people, and even lost the second Robin. Eventually he picked up his mask again and began to strike out solo as Nightwing, fighting crime in various cities, traveling around before settling down in Bludhaven once again as guardian of the city.
He began a life again, and although it was shallow, it was something. He had a few friends there, and built new relationships for himself. Even though the Team has tried to contact him, he remains mostly out of it, at least for now. He can come back someday, but just not yet. There’s nothing for him there at the moment.
