ALIAS(ES): Rachel Roth
BIRTHDAY: Feb. 14, 1999
BIRTHPLACE: Azarath
CURRENT: Where does your character currently reside?
FAMILY:
• Mother: Arella Roth, Deceased
• Father: Trigon, Age Unkown
ALLIANCE:
POWER:
Telekinesis.
Raven uses the power of telekinesis for a variety of things. Aside from picking things up to hurl at opponents, she also uses telekinesis to lift herself up into the air in order to fly around.
Soul Self.
Raven can project her soul out of her body. She uses this ability to scout out buildings or otherwise dangerous areas in order to gather information. While it can attack physically, she can’t really use her other magical abilities while projecting her soul self.
Healing
Raven has two functions in healing: she has a regenerative ability, allowing her to naturally heal faster than a typical human. She can also ease the pain of others, absorbing their pain to inflict it on herself. The actual injury does not disappear, just the debilitation it has on the other. This can also be dangerous as it might make a person not worry about the injury and allow it to continue to bleed out.
Shadow manipulation.
Raven can control shadows and form them into physical energy blasts. Suffice to say, this ability only works if there is darkness around for her to manipulate. Using this ability in broad daylight tends not to work too well as light can obliterate darkness.
Teleport.
She has the very useful ability to teleport; however it does have limits. She can only teleport to places she’s been or is familiar with. She can’t teleport across an entire city but she can teleport a couple of blocks at a time.
Emotion Reader.
She can feel other’s emotions like a psychic can read the thoughts of others, she can read the emotions of an unguarded person. Being someone who is forced to control her own, she is sensitive to the emotions of others. Of course, if a person is trained on how to mask their emotions then she can read anything. Some emotions attract her, or rather, her demonic blood more-so than others: misery, depression, pain, lust as among a few.
Dark Magic
Raven has an affinity for the dark arts; most of her attacks come by using her Soul-Self to hurl dark energy blasts at opponents or use it to create barriers. While not commonly used, she has also displayed the ability to cast Fireballs.
Hand-to-Hand Combat
While skilled in physical combat, Raven's technique is defensive rather than offensive with a focus of using an opponent's own momentum against themselves with trips or shoves. She doesn't have the physical strength to lay damage with her own physical strength so in a straight up brawl she would likely lose. Instead she will attempt to put distance between herself and her opponent so she can continue using magic against them instead.
BLOOD TYPE: A
ORIENTATION:Bicurious
SCARS AND MARKINGS: She has a chakrah jewel embedded in her forehead.
COLOR(S): Purple and black
UNIFORM: The robes of Azarath (the only thing she took with her when she left the world) would be the closest thing to count as a uniform. Colored in a dark purple, the robes cover her upper half and her arms completely with a hood she can pull over to help hide her face. It splits like a tunic at the sides, allowing her legs more freedom of movement.

Fear: Her father, her emotions, being the spawn of Trigon, losing control of herself.
Desire: To be normal and to feel freely.
HABITS: Raven enjoys reading a good book to pass the time. She also enjoys watching children play from a distance; having not been able to have a childhood of her own. Sometimes, at night, she visits the dreams of others to see what they imagine in their sleep.
PET PEEVE: Those who lack common sense tend to tick her off. Also those who invade her personal space after asked to leave her alone.
TRAITS:
Detached. That is the word to describe a woman such as Raven. She comes off, on first impression and even after, so disinterested in people that others may feel awkward to be around her. She shows no enthusiasm in anything that comes her way, be in body language or voice. She keeps all forms of emotion controlled as if life depends on it (and in cases it does). She speaks only when necessary or when she feels her opinion or thoughts can contribute to something. People often take her dry humor as cruel sarcasm.
A keen observant might notice the subtleties to her personality. She comes off as detached because she must. When one understands that they may catch the barest of smiles or the way she may lean towards you while you speak if it is something she is interested in. Her approach is subtle but due to the scarcity of her public displays of emotion, when one catches the hints, they will truly begin to understand her.
She is cautious of any and all, as well as afraid. Afraid of herself and what she could due to this dimension; she always feels like she’s running from something or someone. She tries not to get on the good side of others because she requires them to be at an arm’s distance away for their sake as well as her own. She is afraid of losing control of her emotions and afraid of her demon heritage for good reasons. In her dimension, she was the worst villain in the universe and she aims to not allow such events to transpire again. Control. She always has to be in control. She’s disciplined herself to be in absolute control at all times and she can’t allow anyone to get under her skin or get close to her because that will make her control shaky. Shaky control of her emotions leads to bad things happening.

HISTORY: Raven is the child of Arella, a woman from Azarath and the interdimensional demon Trigon. The temple of Azarath had foreseen the future with Raven opening the gates to their dimension and allowing Trigon in where he would wreak havoc and destroy everything. Due to this, Raven was raised in the temple and taught to control her emotions because her emotions are the key to Trigon’s power. She was refrained from seeing her mother, believing that the attachment of her mother would have her develop emotions too strongly. So she lived a sheltered life, raised mostly by the leader of the Azarath people Azar, until he died.
After Azar’s death, Arella took over the training of her daughter and the two were finally able to spend some time together. Arella loved her daughter but she also was cautious not to do anything that would jeapordize her daughter’s safety. There was very little trust among the rest of the temple of Azarath. It wasn’t until Raven’s sixteenth birthday that she met Trigon face to face in Azarath. He entered the realm and killed the monks of the temple, including her mother Arella.
Wanting nothing more than to prevent Trigon entering into their dimension, Raven sought the aid of the Justice League but was turned away. Nowhere else to turn, Raven landed on Earth and tried to get by on her own. With very little worldly experience and no friends to help her gain her bearings, the empath was forced to turn to petty theft to get by. Often she is found sneaking into homes and raiding their fridge so she can eat. As she got older she learned the value of money and has started taking jobs from the criminal underground that required her to steal things. Seeing how she can pass through walls with relative ease, it seemed like a rather easy job, and so long as she stayed under the radar, she had nothing to worry about in regards to heroes tracking her down.

RP SAMPLE:
She normally didn’t play around in the daytime as it meant that she would be far too much in plain sight. Dressed the way she normally does, she would draw the gaze of other people to begin with. She doesn’t exactly blend in as a common person of Metropolis. Hunger got the best of her; however. She hadn’t been planning on doing anything and had actually sought refuge in Centennial Park. She had simply been lounging behind a tree; comfortably mediating the day away when something wafted through her sense of smell and caused her stomach to stir at it’s lack of real nourishment.
Truth be told, Raven had been stealing food for a couple of weeks now but it generally ended up being small things that nobody would miss. And apple her, e some bread there—it left one with a subtle hunger after sometime but better than the raging one. She realized quite some time ago that if she desired to eat, she would have to take it while someone wasn’t looking. She isn’t the type that could hold a job even if she wanted to. It’s not like someone of the sane mind would honestly consider hiring her for any type of employment to begin with.
So when a meat vendor had set up shop at Centennial Park, the smells of actual substance was enough for her to break her usual rule of keeping to the night to venture into the day to cause some trouble. It wasn’t actually hard to do so either. Fortunately with the gift of levitation, she was able to levitate one of the hotdogs off of the cart without the man knowing the moment he was too busy with another customer. The moment it was in her hands she turned around and started walking away to enjoy the spoils of her theft.
That had been the idea until the vendor shouted at her and started to run. She imagined the poor guy would have had a better chance if he had simply run after her rather than shout his acknowledgement of her action but to each their own. She ran out of his reach and casually took bites out of the hotdog. He struggled to keep up with her but even if he were fast enough, Raven always knew she’d never be caught by someone like him; after all, when push comes to shove, she could have simply flown out of reach.
She finished wolfing down the hotdog and turned her gaze over her shoulder to see if the man gave up yet only to see that not only was he still coming after her, but a younger man had also taken up on chasing after her and approaching quickly. Far too quickly for Raven’s liking. She actually put effort into running faster to put more distance between herself and the vendor but the younger man seemed to still gain ground on her. When he drew too close for comfort, Raven smirked and drifted off the ground and into the air before turning toward the boy, as she drifted further away toward the tops of the trees.
”Sorry to burst your bubble, Boy-hero, You can run fast but I can fly.”
