• Collapsible Bo Staff – a custom made Bo staff. The handle features a button on it, that when pressed the staff extends from either end to its full length of about 1.8 metres. At either end of the staff there are small holes punctured through that produce a whistling sound that can disorient opponents when the staff is swung. One end of the staff can become electrified at Tim’s discretion, to be used to stun opponents upon contact.
• Batarangs – an offensive thrown weapon like a shuriken that has been used by all members of the Bat Family. There are several variants of the weapon that emit an electric shock or explosion, but Tim tends to prefer the standard version.
GADGETS:
• Utility Belt – Tim has always worn a Utility Belt that he has adopted from Batman. It is used to carry gadgets and equipment such as; Communication Devices, Cryptographic Sequencer, Explosive Pellets, First Aid Kits, Flashbangs, Gas Mask, Grappling Gun, Hand-Cuffs, Lock Picking Tools, Micro-Cameras, Micro-Computer, Noisemakers, Plasma Torch, Plastic Explosives, Rebreather, Smoke Pellets, Taser, Tracking Devices and more.

Tim’s costume is somewhat adapted from the original ‘Robin’ costume that Dick Grayson wore. It includes an armoured tunic, matching coloured leggings, jika-tabi style boots, a utility belt (which carries most of his gadgets), an armoured gorget, armoured gloves (that feature scallops), as well as a cape (black on the outside, yellow on the inside) that features scallops as well. The scallops on the cape give an illusion of feathers as opposed to bat-wings (like Batman has). The ‘R’ insignia works as a holographic communicator – meaning that Tim is always in contact with the Bat Family, and the Team.

FEAR: As a result of Tim having lost both of his parents, Tim has become afraid of losing anyone else that he cares about. Since they passed, he has vowed to himself that he will do whatever he can to protect others, no matter the cost. Another fear that Tim has is failure - failure to live up to the standards and expectations set by Batman, as well as the first Robin; Dick Grayson.
DESIRE: Tim has a very simple desire in life, and that is to be able to live up to Batman’s expectations of him, and to become one of the greatest heroes of all time; easier said than done.
HABITS: Tim’s main habit is that he typically fidgets very often with his hands. It is a habit that he himself doesn’t notice, but others do. Usually an indication of when he is feeling nervous, uneasy, or even when he is deep in thought.
PET PEEVES: Being out of his comfort zone, being thrust into leadership, Joker, criminals and home invaders.
STRENGTHS:
• Conditioning: Robin possesses no superhuman powers, but has been trained by Batman from a young age to have achieved peak human physical conditioning; boasting great strength and speed. Robin is very fleet-footed; especially whilst in mid air. He has great reflexes, able to quickly visualize incoming attacks, and quickly respond to avoid danger. Robin has good flexibility, as well being a fairly good acrobat; utilizing various flips and other evasive manoeuvres in battle.
• Expert Detective: Robin is a very smart, and intellectual young man and had already displayed impressive detective skills prior to becoming Batman’s protégé. Of course, with Batman these skills have continued to improve; with Robin fully capable of putting the skills to use independently if need be.
• Master Tactician/Strategist: Over time Robin has proved to be an expert tactician, and a natural leader when given the chance. Knowing how to bring his team together, and utilize the strengths effectively of the members on his team.
• Master Bo-Staff Combatant: Robin is a master with the Bo-Staff; combining both his strength and agility well. He’s very effective using this in battle; using quick swings that rarely miss to quickly bring down targets.
• Master Hand to Hand Combatant: Whilst Robin does prefer to use his staff, he has been trained in various martial art disciplines to be effective when unarmed, and is even a master in Jiu Jitsu.
• Master of Stealth: Robin has been trained to be a master of stealth; knowing how to stay out of sight, use the shadows and infiltrate places without being noticed.
• Expert Marksman: Robin has been trained to have near perfect aim when using his shuriken like birdarangs; hitting his target and having them ricochet off objects with precision.
WEAKNESSES:
• Human: Despite everything that Robin can do, and all the knowledge had has gained. Tim remains very much human as he possesses no superhuman abilities. This means that Robin is capable of being injured or hurt much like any other human, susceptible to death as well.
• Guilt Fuelling Anger: When Tim is confronted with a scenario that is similar to what he himself has been through, then Tim uncharacteristically lets his anger get the better of him. This can lead Tim to being very unlike himself, acting rash and can even cause him disobey orders – even those from Batman.
TRAITS:
Tim is an extremely passionate and dedicated hero, having chosen to take up crime fighting willingly as a job. He cares very much for innocent people, and finds himself unable to stand by and do nothing as another person is in distress. Tim had always been a very serious child, and that has only intensified as a result of certain events in his life, as well as spending time with Batman. There are several qualities of Batman that Tim aspires to have himself, but if you were to ask him he most certainly would not to become like a carbon copy of Bruce.
On missions Tim tends to be very professional, in that his attention is always on the task at hand. He’s someone with a reserved temperament, meaning that he is always calm and collect for the most part, though there are occasions where this is not the case. Tim is a detective first, and a fighter second. Relying more so on his brain and wit to outdo his opponents.

HISTORY:
It was at a young age that Tim would first discover the caped crusader who he went on to idolize – even to this day. It was back when Tim was just a young boy, when his parents decided to take him to the circus. It was something of a family outing that his father Jack Drake had thought would be nice for the family. Tim’s mother; Janet was concerned however, aware that a circus may be something of a frightening experience. In a gesture of reassurance, Tim’s father had managed to arrange for the family to meet the headline act before the show began, the headline act of course being – The Flying Grayson’s. This arranged encounter was the first time that Tim would meet Dick Grayson, and little did he know that it wouldn’t be the last. This encounter gave Tim the opportunity to speak with the Grayson’s, as well as his mother and it certainly did put an end to the concerns that Tim’s mother had. Dick told Tim that tonight his performance was in honor of him, and then the two families joined together for a group photograph.
After, the Drake family settled into their seats and would watch on as the Haley Circus put on a stunning show. It was tremendous, breath-taking and Tim seemed to certainly enjoy the occasion. But things would take a sour turn, as the night came to a close with the tragic incident that resulted in the death of the Flying Grayson’s – all except Dick. When the incident occurred, Tim’s parents had made sure to leave as quickly as possible, wanting to leave before things could get any worse. Though after the incident, when they were leaving the circus; Tim saw the Dark Knight. He spotted him, Batman, consoling a devastated Dick Grayson. A few days later the Drake’s decided to send Dick Grayson a copy of the photo that the two families had taken earlier in the night as a token of sympathy.
That was a night that Tim would never forget, a sight he wouldn’t ever forget either. Tim had grown up and developed quite the fan of Batman, and Robin – the Dynamic Duo. He would read every story about the duo, follow every blog and just consume any material he could. But at age nine he got to see them in action, as a clip of them would play on the news. It was the duo apprehending the Penguin, and in the footage Tim noticed something about Robin. Robin performed a quadruple somersault, a feat that Tim believed could only be performed by Dick Grayson – it was something of a trademark. This lead Tim to jump to the conclusion that Robin was in fact Dick Grayson, but his conclusion didn’t stop there. Bruce Wayne had become the legal guardian of Dick Grayson soon after the tragic incident he had attended as a young boy. This led to Tim presuming that not only was Dick Grayson, Robin, but that Batman was Bruce Wayne.
Tim never even attempted to approach Bruce Wayne or Dick Grayson. Some secrets were best left untold, and Tim didn’t wish to cause either of them any problems. Tim simply followed their adventures closely, and was delighted to think that he knows Robin. Tim had followed the Dynamic Duo so well, that he was aware of Dick Grayson moving on to becoming Nightwing, as well as Jason Todd having succeeded him as the second Robin. When Batman started fighting crime by himself again, Tim had noticed a change in the behavior of Batman. He speculated that something had happened to the second Robin, and that it had forced a change in Batman’s mentality. Tim went as far as to conclude that Batman NEEDED a Robin.
With this theory that Tim had, he decided to track down Nightwing, but more importantly; Dick Grayson. He found Dick at Haley’s Circus, investigating a mystery. Tim would lend a hand in investigating the mystery, and then after confronted Grayson about a myriad of things. He told Grayson that he knew he was once Robin that he knew he had become Nightwing and that he knew Bruce Wayne was Batman. He then went on to tell Grayson about the change in behaviour that he had noticed in Batman, and urged Grayson to help him. Grayson was convinced by what Tim had said, but disagreed about how to go about it. Grayson intended to help Batman as Nightwing, whilst Tim believed that Batman didn’t need Nightwing, he needed Robin.
Nightwing had gone on to help Batman, but the duo found themselves in a scenario where they had been captured by Two-Face. When Tim discovered that his two idols were in danger, he took it upon himself with the help of Alfred to put on the costume of Robin. With some assistance, Tim managed to rescue Batman and Nightwing from Two-Face, and to some degree; he had impressed. With a hint of reluctance, Bruce would agree to take Tim on as the third Robin, but only on a trial basis. Over the next few months Tim would take part in vigorous amounts of training, learning from Alfred, Batman and Nightwing before he was ever allowed out into the field, or allowed to wear the costume of Robin.
But prior to the completion of Tim’s training did disaster strike. The ruthless Obeah Man had taken captive Tim’s parents whilst they were on vacation in the Caribbean. Obeah Man intended to sacrifice Jack and Janet Drake, but Batman managed to arrive in time to rescue the boy’s parents. However, Tim’s parents had both drank some water that had been laced with a poison residue. As a result, Tim’s mother passed away, and his father slipped into a deep coma, and suffered from permanent paralysis. It was this event that caused Batman to reconsider whether or not Tim was fit for the role of Robin. He feared that Tim may become motivated by anger, much like Jason Todd had done. But Tim wasn’t driven by rage or anger, he wasn’t driven by the idea of getting revenge. Instead, Tim was driven by doing what’s right, by doing his duty to protect others that could not protect themselves. Another incident occurred in which Batman and Vicki Vale had been captured by Scarecrow. Tim arrived on the scene, and defeated Scarecrow to once again prove his credentials to Batman. It was then that Batman bestowed upon Tim the mantle of Robin, as well as a new costume.
Finally Tim had been bestowed with what he had longed for. At first, Tim began to show nervousness and doubt about becoming the new Robin, as he had high expectations to live up to. But Bruce believed in him, and assured Tim that he had all the confidence in the world in him to succeed as his new partner. Batman had confided in Tim, telling him that he had been looking for someone with smarts, not just guts, and Tim had that in abundance, and much more. Bruce did require Tim to go through some more training, intensive training before he takes to the streets of Gotham. This in turn involved Tim taking a tour overseas that would allow for Tim to understand who he was and to learn how to become a great fighter. The first stop on the trip was Paris, where Tim learned from Rahul Lama, a Chinese martial arts master. It was here in Paris where Tim would cross paths with several thugs who worked for King Snake, who was being shadowed by Lady Shiva. Shiva ended up joining forces with Tim, and another named Clyde Rawlins to take down King Snake’s heroin trafficking within the area. Together the trio learned that King Snake was interested in much more than just drugs. He was also interested in going into the chemical weapons industry, and had even begun manufacturing his own bubonic plague.
The trio followed King Snake’s trail to Hong Kong. Whilst there, Shiva spent some time with Tim, training. This was when Tim first acquired a collapsible fighting staff, that with Shiva’s help he had become quite proficient with. In Hong Kong the trio learned that King Snake wishes to unleash the plague he had developed on Hong Kong, leaving it a rotting cesspool, before the Chinese reclaimed it from the British. The trio found King Snake’s lair and breached in. Inside, the trio split up with them each going their own separate ways. Clyde encountered Snake King first, engaging him in combat. King Snake killed Clyde, and was then engaged by Tim. Tim managed to defeat King Snake, but would not indulge in killing him. Lady Shiva demanded it, ordering Tim to kill King Snake. Tim refused, and then returned to Gotham as he was now ready to take his place beside Batman.
Tim was different from Grayson, and from Todd. Tim had a much more reserved temperament compared to Todd, and opted to be more of a detective than an athlete like Grayson was. Tim was now quite as gifted as Grayson when it came to acrobatics, or fighting. Tim had a really work for it, and whilst he never reached the heights that Grayson had, Tim was more than capable of holding his own in combat. Batman did have a rule however, that if Tim was to ever encounter someone such as the Joker, or Two-Face, that he was to withdraw and call for back-up. Unfortunately, this was a rule that Tim had no choice but to break. During one of his very early solo periods within Gotham, Tim found himself encounter the Clown Prince of Crime; the Joker. With the help of a hacker, Joker had managed to make Gotham City digitally self-destruct. This forced Tim into having no choice but to deal with the situation by himself. The simple sight of Tim as Robin, was enough to infuriate Joker. Joker vowed to kill this Robin. But the Joker underestimated Tim, which resulted in Tim being able to defeat the Joker and return him to Arkham.
In late 2015, Tim joined the Team as Robin; representing the Bat Family along with both Batgirl and Nightwing. Robin took part on various missions, including infiltrating a Krolotean base, rescuing human captives, investigating LexCorp farms, as well as sneaking aboard the Reach’s ship. There were times when Tim was just another member of a squad, and other times when he was chosen to lead one. However, when he was chosen to lead he felt as though Nightwing was being far too protective, putting him in charge of squads with simple missions, that offered little to no danger. Everything worked out in the end, as the team had successfully taken down the Reach, and scuppered the plans of the Light. With Batman and the other wrongfully accused Justice League members returned shortly after.
But their success as a team had not been achieved without sacrifice. Wally West had died, becoming a memory of what fate may await each of them with the life they have chosen to lead. Everyone dealt with Wally’s death in their own way, and the Bat Family were not too great at this. Grayson disappeared, which was as to be expected. Batman regressed for a while, but returned to duty soon after, and Batgirl dealt with it by keeping busy. Tim wasn’t sure how to process Wally’s death, but remember what he could do – be there for others. Tim stayed away from the Team for a while, only joining them on occasion. He instead chose to remain in Gotham, with Batman as he felt he had much more to learn from him, and knew that Batman needed a Robin.

Gotham City; 23:47.
It was close to midnight in Gotham City, and the often murky and run down city became just that bit more terrifying at night when the streets became littered with shadows, filled with the most unfriendly of residents that the city has to offer. A full moon, there was a breeze in the air, cold as we near the winter months. Atop a building in downtown Gotham was the Boy Wonder; Robin. He was perched on the very edge, looking over the building opposite that appeared to be a Warehouse of some kind. It seemed abandoned, there were no lights on, and there was visible damage to it. Not the best choice for someone looking to get into the business of renovating properties. But it was a prime location for the ugly underbelly of Gotham to meet.
Recently there had been sightings. Penguin and his gang had been distributing goods to other crime lords within the city. What the exchange was, and the reasons behind it were unclear – hence why Robin was out on such a cold night, instead of enjoying a nice cup of hot coco back at Wayne Manor. At this moment a car pulled up nearby; parking in the middle of the street – clearly the driver had no care for the basics of driving. The door swung open, and stepping out was none other than Two-Face. He shut the door behind him, and took a moment to scan the immediate surrounding area; nothing. Two-Face then went on to proceed around the corner of the Warehouse. This was… interesting, was Two-Face working with Penguin? Highly likely. Reaching into his utility belt, Robin pulled out his grapple gun. He held it in his right hand, aiming towards the warehouse and then shot. A wire zipped out from the gun, clasping on to the upper most part of the warehouse. Robin leapt off the edge of the roof he had been on, and his gun quickly zip-lined him across to the warehouse. “Ouch!”. Robin thought as he slammed into the wall of the warehouse, he didn’t dare speak his mind; he had made too much noise as it was. Putting the grapple gun back in the utility belt, Robin then proceeded to scale the warehouse wall, climbing up onto it’s rooftop.
Around the corner, talking could be heart. Two-Face had met with two men, who seemingly were representatives of the Penguin. Hardly a surprise, Penguin wasn’t the most eager when it came to getting his hands dirty. “…penguin knows, I’ll keep my end of the bargain, don’t you worry”. Two-Face said, a tone of reassurance as he took possession of a brief case from one of Penguin’s men. It was now that Robin made his move.
A small smoke pellet fell from above to the floor below, and from it came a thick smoke that filled the immediate area. Each of the three backed up somewhat, withdrawing their respective firearms. From above, did Robin drop, falling down onto one of the representatives; managing to knock him out with ease. Robin darted away, into the smoke, allowing the other to confront his comrade. He ran over, throwing his gun away as he crouched down to assess his friend. “Louie! The Brat must be here”. Oh, he was. As Robin charged towards the thug, the two ends of his bow staff extended out from the centrepiece. Robin leapt through the air to meet the thug with a kick, sending him stumbling backwards. Robin didn’t give him any time, on the attack again, clattering the thug with several swings of his bo-staff. But despite this, the thug fought back. A half-hearted attempt, as he swung wildly with punches. Robin had a relative easy time avoiding contact, jumping backwards as the punches were thrown, and eventually ducking beneath one to get behind the thug. A swing of the staff towards the back of the thugs legs, and he fell over onto his back. The upper tip of the staff electrified, Robin pressed it down onto the thug who winced in pain for a few seconds; he had been stunned.
“Keeping up with the cowardly tactics, I’m sure ol’ Bats is real proud of ya. But I’m not in the mood for games”. Two-Face fired several shots from his pistol; the bullets shot sporadically into the fleeting smokescreen as Two-Face backed away, looking to make his escape. He fired a few more shots before turning to run away with the briefcase, but as he turned was confronted by Robin who grabbed the briefcase with both hands. A tussle, each of them fought for control. Well, it seemed that way. This was only a distraction, as Robin had placed a tiny micro tracker onto the bottom of the brief case. One giant push, and Two-Face knocked Robin backwards. He fell back, but recuperated by rolling backwards to stand on a single knee. Robin pulled out a birdarang, ready to strike. Though Two-Face had his gun aimed for a perfect headshot – it was a stalemate. “Don’t follow, Kid. This is a battle you shouldn’t be picking”. Two-Face stepped away slowly, before running off, back towards his vehicle. Robin waited for Two-Face to disappear out of sight before opening comms with Batman through the ‘R’ insignia on his chest. “Tracer has been placed, Two-Face is none the wiser… … … … Affirmative, meet you there”. A smirk displayed across his face, pleased with how things had gone. Robin would then close comms, and withdrew his grapple gun once again, shooting it off into the distance as Robin zip-lined away, disappearing into the night to rendezvous with Batman.
ANYTHING ELSE? All hail Bat Cow.
