20, Hero
-------------------------------------------------------------------
ALIAS(ES): Blue, BL, Brother Mahnke
BIRTHDAY: August, 22, 1994
BIRTHPLACE: Coast City, California
CURRENT: Coast City, Mount Justice
FAMILY:
• Mother: Jacqueline Mahnke, 45, deceased
• Father: Stephen Mahnke, 44, alive
• Adoptive Mother: Nora Haywood, 40, alive
ALLIANCE: Blue Lantern Corp, the Team
WEAPON:
Geoff wields a Blue Lantern power ring. A lantern's ring is considered to be one of the most powerful weapons in the universe but unlike the power ring of its more famous cousin, a Blue Lantern's ring was created to support. A Blue Lantern needs to be in close proximity of a Green Lantern in order to gain the full effects of the ring.
POWER:
The main weakness of a Blue Lantern is also his greatest strength. When Geoff acts on his own, he will never be able to live up to his full potential. However, when his hope is paired with a Green Lantern's will, it creates a force that few can rival. Hope is the most powerful emotion in the emotional spectrum and when the two work in harmony his true potential is realized. However, the Green Lanterns have their own duties and when acting on his own or part of the Team, Geoff is average-ly skilled. When on his own or with the team, he only has the ability of flight, the ability to fire weakened energy blasts and create constructs that fail in comparison to anything that Hal Jordan or John Stewart could create
BLOOD TYPE: B+
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
MENTOR: John Stewart, Hal Jordan, Kyle Rayner, Guy Gardner
SCARS AND MARKINGS: None
COLOR(S): Blue and black
UNIFORM:
Geoff proudly wears the uniform of the Blue Lantern corps into battle whether he is performing his lantern duties, or facing evil with the Team. Like all members, Geoff's uniform displays the symbol of the Blue Lantern corps. Geoff's being on his right breast and above his heart. The majority of his uniform is basic black with his boots being a deep blue along with his gloves and upper torso
DESCRIPTION:
• 5’10’’
• Athletic Build
• Hazel Eyes
• Sandy Blonde Hair
Play-By: Wesley Schultz

Fear:
As fear is the belief of imminent demise and hope is the belief of imminent success, fear is something that rarely affects Geoff. When he does fear the tinge of fear though, it is the fear of not wanting to fail those closest to his heart.
Desire:
Despite his love of being a Blue Lantern, Geoff's deepest desire is to one day wear the green power ring and call himself a Green Lantern
HABITS:
•Due to his beliefs that defeat is something that can always be overcome, Geoff has a tendency to be rather rash and impulsive. He will often charge in and ask questions later
•When stressed, the first thought that comes to Geoff is to flee earth and simply fly around the rings of Saturn
PET PEEVE: What makes your character tick.
•Quitters. Geoff cannot stand them. Quitting is never an option for the young man as there is always another way to find and achieve victory
STRENGTHS:
Fear Depletion: As fear is the belief of imminent demise and hope is the belief of imminent success. As such, Blue Lantern Rings are capable of depleting the energy of Qwardian Power Rings (Sinestro Corps)
Avarice Immunity: A blue ring is not vulnerable to the Orange Lantern Corps' favored tactic of draining energy from other Corps' rings. The reason of this is that while Avarice erodes Will, it can't consume Hope, thus rendering Avarice useless against Hope.
Rage Removal: If a subject has been infected with the red light of rage, a Blue Power Ring can create a vision of the subject's greatest hope to calm and heal them.
Hope Empowerment: The Blue Lantern ring is unique in that its base of power, Hope, can be drawn from for strength by the ring user. Being in direct range of the emotional aura of a Blue Lantern allows them to charge an outer power reserve; by the sheer hope of the Lantern, its power will remain constant
WEAKNESSES:
Energy Interference: As the continuing power of the ring's connection of "universal hope", it has a tendency to cause a form of interference to other power sources.
Willpower Symbiosis: Hope is the most powerful emotion in the emotional spectrum, but it cannot reach it's full potential without willpower to enact it. In order for the blue power ring to function, it needs the aura of green willpower, supplied by a Green Lantern Ring to be in proximity to it; otherwise, the ring will only allow limited flight, limited energy projection and constructs, and protection from the vacuum of space.
Lack of Hope: If the wielder of the ring loses hope the power ring will cease to work.
TRAITS:
Like any Blue Lantern, hope is the central point of Geoff's life. It was true before he donned the ring and it will be true once he takes it off for the last time. Geoff is a boisterous person and combined with his natural hope that the future will always be better, he is considered to be unnaturally upbeat. Rarely quiet and always on the move, Geoff takes his duties as a Blue Lantern very seriously. In his mind, duty to his teammates and the brothers who also wear the blue power ring are to be considered most important. Unlike most people of his age who find themselves sneaking off to parties, Geoff can usually be found at Mount Justice studying to find a way to prove to the world that hope for a better tomorrow is not a childish fantasy

HISTORY:
Geoff was born the only child to Stephen and Jacqueline Mahnke. Unfortunately, his mother died during birth leaving his father to raise him. This was a fact that Geoff's father, Stephen, never forgave him for. The death of his wife and hatred for his son drove Stephen into a deep depression where only alcohol and various types of drugs could ever sate the pain. Since he was always under his care, the man showed Geoff nothing but hostility. Were it not for the love and affection of his neighbor Nora, Geoff might have found himself wearing the red power ring rather than the blue. It wouldn't be until the age of twelve where Geoff's father Stephen found himself on the wrong side of the law and Geoff in the care of Nora
Life living with Nora was everything that the young boy could ever hope it to be. Nora was kind yet stern. She never raised her voice when it wasn't needed nor did she ever raise her hand against the young boy. It was with Nora that Geoff truly found his calling. Instead of instilling a fear and anger of life, Nora made it her life's duty to instill hope and the belief of a better tomorrow in the young boy. Within the year, Geoff's grades skyrocketed, his mood drastically improved and his want to help every single person emerged. The years would come and go with Nora remaining a focal point of Geoff's life. The now young man took his teenage years in stride and with the help of his adoptive mother conquered high school at the top of his class.
It wouldn't be until his nineteenth year of life where Geoff would truly find himself tested. The day started off like any other. The young man had breakfast with his adoptive mother, played a few games of basketball with his friends and when afternoon stated to set in, he left for Downtown Coast City to have lunch with an aspiring crush. It was here that things went from near idyllic to near catastrophe. Agent Orange, one of Hal Jordan's many enemies, decided that that day was the perfect opportunity to rob Coast City of it's riches. Hal Jordan was gone from Earth and the other Lanterns were nowhere to be found. Agent Orange swooped in and with the orange light of avarice, began to rob Coast City dry
Not being one to hesitate to act, Geoff immediately sprang to action. It seemed that everything in the young man's life prepared him for this moment. His father's abuses, his mother's death and his adoptive mother's love all seemed to culminate in this soon to be battle. All his life, Nora made sure he memorized one quote. Night after night, day after day, Geoff would recite like clockwork that "the highest of distinctions is service to others" and with that in his mind, the young man sprung into action. Agent Orange had just set his sites upon a young mother and her child when the young man crashed into him with as much force as his five foot ten inch frame could muster. The battle, if it could be called that, was short lived. Agent Orange turned his attention on the now slightly shaken young man. With a flash of orange light followed by bright beam of blue, Geoff found himself both unconscious and on his way to Odym, the home planet of the Blue Lantern Corps.
Unlike the other lights of the emotional electromagnetic spectrum, Blue Lanterns were not chosen by their rings but rather the leaders of the Corp. Blue Lanterns were not selected on their willpower or their ability to spread fear. They were not chosen for their rage nor their desire to further their own goals. Blue Lanterns were chosen by their ability to spread hope to others. They were chosen by their ability to always see the bright side of thing and from the second his adoption was approved, Geoff was considered to be this and more. The leaders of the Blue Lantern Corps Ganthet and Sayd brought the young man to Odym to undergo the rigorous interview that is required of all Blue Lanterns. Once on Odym, Geoff discussed with Ganthet and Sayd what it meant to wield the power of hope. He learned that it is a responsibility to give one's self to the universe, and also their ultimate destiny. After three days, Geoff eagerly accepted the conditions that Ganthet and Sayd laid out and emerged as Brother Mahnke, the newest Blue Lantern.
With an assignment to Earth in order to bolster the Green Lanterns' will with the power of Hope, Geoff set off to finally realize the dream that Nora instilled so many years ago

"What do you mean I'm not expected!" the man bellowed, his Spanish accent thick "Don't you know who I am?! I am Rafa Maximiano Ureña! The world's greatest reporter!"
"I...don't know who you are sir" Geoff replied, slightly exasperated
The aspiring reporter threw his hands into the air and turned away in disgust. He looked over his shoulder and sneered at the young man who had the unfortunate luck to guard the huge door to the Hall of Justice. Geoff gave a chuckle before returning his attention back towards the plaza and any potential customers, or potential visitors or literally anyone else other than the wannabe reporter. Rafa gave one last look before turning away in disgust. He threw his hands in the air once more and utter a foul curse as he stomped down the road. This was the third time they had turned him away. Three times in as many weeks. Rafa shook his head in anger as he stomped down the road. He paused only to unlatch his helmet from his waist and placed it on his head. He gave another look over his shoulder before forcing his gaze to the ground. His mentor, his uncle, had promised that he would be well received. He promised that the Justice League would take him with open arms. Rafa scoffed at the thought. His mentor had lied. This was all some sick initiation just to give his bosses a chuckle
"Bastardo..." Rafa cursed as he continued down the road "He will rue the day he crossed me"
"Excuse me sir?" Geoff queried, a smirk all to visible on his face
It was said that the Justice League were some of the greatest warriors on the face of the world. It was said that they could take on any opponent and come out on top. All throughout his childhood, he was told stories about the valor of the League. He was told of the legendary Superman and his fight against any who would commit acts of evil. His father told him that Superman had beaten back so many foes that many saw him as invincible. His father was a world class reporter and unless he could interview a member of the League, he would never be considered the same. He had to get an interview with a member. It wasn't just for the money. Rafa knew he was the world's greatest reporter and unless he interviewed a member of the League, the world would never realize that fact. Rafa gave a heavy sigh before taking off his motorcycle helmet once more. He turned towards the guard and couldn't help but give a gasp of surprise in what the young man was now wearing
"You're a Green Lantern?!" Rafa exclaimed excitedly
"Uhhh sir" Geoff began
"But why us your uniform blue? Everyone knows that Green Lanterns are green. Not blue"
"I..."
"It must be a costume. Halloween was a few days ago" Rafa beamed, his smile growing wider by the minute
"Sir..." Geoff sighed
"May I interview you?" Rafa asked, drawing out his recorder "Everyone knows that all Lanterns are part of the Justice League"
"I'm no..."
"Hush hush now" Rafa said, silencing the young man "Now tell me, what is your name and how long have you been a Green Lantern?"
