Nine Years Old . Villain

ALIAS(ES): Match
BIRTHDAY: October, 12, 2010
BIRTHPLACE: Project Cadmus
CURRENT: Metropolis
FAMILY:
• Father (Adopted): Lex Luthor, Fifty Something
ALLIANCE: The Shadow Squad
RANK: Newest Member
WEAPON: His Fists
POWER:
Kryptonian Physiology:
BLOOD TYPE:Unknown
- Superhuman Strength: He possesses a vast amount of superhuman strength that isn't rivaled by many people. In direct sunlight Match has been seen lifting vehicles, small structures and straight out heavy things in general. Although it hasn't been officially tested it's said that he's capable of easily lifting 1000 - 3000 tonnes of weight directly above his head for a long periods of time before suffering any form of injury, unlike his counterpart. Superboy. On many occasions he has stated that he feels as if he's living inside of a world made of cardboard and he has to be extremely careful when doing things to prevent breaking whatever he touches.
- Invulnerability: Like his Kryptonian counter part, his body is nigh-invulnerable due to his superhumanly dense cellular structure as well as his bio-electrical aura. Match is completely resistant to many different forms and levels of lacerations, blunt force trauma, energy-based assaults, falls from great heights, giant explosions, the cold void of space and most earthly toxins. His supercharged bio-electric "aura" acts as an invisible "force field" radiating within a few millimeters from his skin. He can at will utilize his aura strengthening it's power to a greater degree to provide an additional defense against certain levels of physical and energy attacks for a considerably short period of time, but doing so can endanger him should the attempted feat prove inefficient for any reason.
- Superhuman Speed: At his top speed Match can move up to 700mph, allowing him to break the sound barrier.
- Heat Vision: Match is capable of firing highly concentrated beams of heat-based energy from his eyes. These beams are capable of reaching extremely high temperatures. These beams are also able to burn through superhuman flesh comparable to those of another Kryptonian. The concussive force of his heat vision is capable of neutralizing another Kryptonian's heat-vision, and when facing other potent energy beams, the heat-particles and solar energy within his heat beams can cause massive explosions when met with another mass of energy, such as another beam of heat-vision or energy blast, which can temporarily incapacitate both opponents. The temperatures of his heat-vision depend on his exposure to solar energy and radiation.
- Graviton Negation: Match has the ability to negate the gravitons around his body and fly up to speeds of mach 2.
- X-Ray Vision: Match's Kryptonian physiology allows him to see through solid matter (with the exception of lead).
- Superhuman Hearing: Match has incredible hearing at extreme variances of sound and pitch frequency, allowing him to pick up noises from across an entire city.
ORIENTATION: Heterosexual
MENTOR: Lex Luthor
SCARS AND MARKINGS: Backwards "S" burned into his chest.

TRAITS:
Match is your everyday guy who gets up every morning, gets ready for work and puts on his pants one leg at a time, or at least that's how it seems on the outside. From the day of his re-creation Lex Luthor taught him how to emulate the human emotions that he's incapable of feeling and empathize with others, almost as if wearing a fake mask. He is extremely well at doing this and has played the hero, the joker and the villain on multiple occasions. After being re-created by Lex Luthor Match was able to live a normal every day life without smashing everyone in sight and seemingly had himself under control. When it comes to friends Match feels very isolated, like he can't relate with any of them, and treats them more like pawns than anything else. However, If his father Lex Luthor was threatened it would unlock a side of him that has been locked away for years and he would pound them to a pulp without thinking twice. Although he appears to be a quiet, calm and collected guy outside, he can still be very sadistic and unpredictable which can make fighting him extremely challenging. He currently acts as the enforcer of his team and is more than willing to mess somebody's day up if needed, but can still restrain himself from causing unnecessary conflict that could jeopardize the secrecy of his team. On top of all of that Match is also extremely intelligent and only a few young heroes are on par with him. He uses his intellect in a more sinister way and usually puts it toward outsmarting his enemies and planning attacks. Believe it or not, despite his occasional anger issues Match is an excellent battle strategist and has taken out a wide array of enemies both inside and outside of the ring. During his time spent with Lex Luthor he learned how to successfully manage a business, do his own finances as well as clean up after his own actions. Lastly, Match can be very manipulative and often uses his superior intelligence to get inside the minds of his enemies and manipulate them into doing what he wants or make mistakes they normally wouldn't make.

HISTORY:
Match was created as part of Project Match by Cadmus, as a first attempt to clone a Kryptonian. Lex Luthor wished for Superman to "meet his match", but the project was a failure. Kryptonian DNA proved too difficult to replicate, and the imperfect sequence made Match uncontrollable. He was stored deep inside Cadmus, and his presence was kept a secret. Cloning a Kryptonian would eventually be tried again, this time more successful because the gaps were filled with human DNA.
Luthor told Superboy about his "brother", though he claimed Match was a later project than Project Kr. Superboy eventually found the chamber where Match was held, locked away and put on ice with countless other experiments. Just as he promised, Superboy freed Match. However, Match was not capable of thanking his liberator. Instead, he attacked the boy with a red S-shield on his chest. The fight destroyed a lot of containment pods, and though Match beat Superboy because he had access to full Kryptonian powers, he was telepathically put to sleep by Dubbilex, who had Match transported to Genomorph City
Match was unfrozen on multiple occasions and had many altercations with the Young Justice team, learning to improve himself with each battle he encountered. He was eventually brought back to the drawing board and frozen for another few months until Lex Luthor came up with a plan that could help stabilize him. His cure for Match's monstrous behavior was a nanite formula that was injected into the base of his spine which allowed him more control over his powers as well as his mind. Now completely a new man, Match was released into the world as an experiment to see if he had truly lost his insane mannerisms and could socialize with others. The tests proved to be successful as Match was capable of communicating with others on a civil level without incinerating them with his heat vision, which at the time was a big improvement.
He was originally hired as Lex Luthor's body guard after the tests were complete and often stayed within the walls of Lex Corp. Because of this Match formed a pretty strong bond with Lex, whom he refers to as his "True father" and learned from him. Once his trust was earned Match was allowed to leave the building at will and begin living his own life, as long as he inched toward completing his destiny at some point or another. It was during this time that he started meeting up with other young meta-humans who resented the Young Justice for more reasons than one, so naturally he starting hanging around with them when he needed entertainment. This lead to him getting involved with the dark side club, which he quickly learned to like quite a lot because it felt like it was his true calling. Hurting people and getting away with it.
Match was one of the most lethal combatants that had ever entered the Dark Side Club and he made it known in the ring. Nobody had ever fought like he did and it was almost as if he was a wild animal most of the time. He has been seen using objects ranging from metal poles to coffee mugs to defeat his enemies and hasn't come close to being defeated as of yet. After a few weeks Match leaped to the top rank and became the Champion of the club, though this only meant more people would want a shot at him. And he welcomed it gladly. Whenever he fought inside of the ring he was capable of forgetting everything outside of it and just focusing on the here and now.
Currently Match is still the champion of the Dark Side club and was asked to join the Shadow Squad after proving his skills on many occasions. He frequently goes on missions provided by the light and performs with nothing but excellence, always managing to complete his assignments with minimal mistakes. To this day Match still continues to strengthen with Lex and will do anything he asks, partially because of the nanites within his body and partially because he feels like he owes him. Lex Luthor has purchased a house outside of Happy Harbor for Match to live in and monitor the Young Justice from a distance without being too obvious.

RP SAMPLE:
A sonic boom was heard throughout the night sky of Metropolis as Match soared above at incredible speeds. He looked down upon the many structures, vehicles and civilians from above, though didn't find anything interesting at the time. When he turned the next corner a giant store with bright fluorescent lights caught his eye and he decided to make a landing. The pavement caved in below his feet as he landed on the ground within the alleyway to the left of the store and let off a casual smile because he clearly enjoyed making interesting entrances. Match reached in his leather jacket pocket only to find that he was out of cigarettes and his smile quickly turned into a frown. He knew that the store definitely sold them but his body appeared to be way to young to purchase them, so he wasn't sure what was going to go down inside.
Match walked inside of the store and gave the clerk a slight nod as he approached the counter at the back. He pulled back his hood and placed both hands on the counter in front of him as he began to speak. "I'll take a package of Export A" he said, retracting his hand and running it through his thick black hair. The woman gave him a smile and tilted her head to the side before replying. "I'm afraid I'm going to have to see some I.D man." she replied, crossing her arms across her chest. Match had predicted this would happen and just turned around on the spot to look at the few people browsing the shelves of the store with a sadistic smile on his face. He knew that starting conflict probably wasn't the best idea, but he really wanted a cigarette at the time and that was enough to convince him to do what he needed. His eyes turned a bright ruby color as he emitted concentrated beams from his black pupils which quickly ignited the contents of the store. As the fire spread and the people began to run in terror Match calmly walked through the flames, slid over the counter and pocketed a few packages of cigarettes for the road.
It wasn't long before the fire department and police showed up to the scene, but by that time Match had already ascended into the air and left. He had always enjoyed doing things like that because it got his adrenaline pumping and it was like a drug to him and he often finds himself chasing that same rush. On his way through Metropolis his eyes caught the giant Lex Corp sign in the distance and decided to give his "Father" a visit. He had lived at Lex Corp for many years and knew the various different secret passages throughout the entirety of the building, included the ones to the lower levels. Match landed at the back of the building and approached the telephone booth leaning up against the wall, which was quickly revealed to be an entrance into Lex Corp. Upon entering the building Match was greeted by a few of Luthor's guards and they walked him through the various hallways until they reached his new office. By the time they reached the top floor Match came to the conclusion that flying to the roof would be a much more effective way to get in rather than spend 20 minutes walking up each flight of stairs. Lex had seen Match approaching his office on the cameras stationed in the hallway and unlocked the door for him. When Match entered he gave him a smile and began to speak. "How is business? With the way things look around here I'd assume well."
