About ten miles outside Gotham, just off the main highway was a biker bar. Like most biker bars this one was like a big shack, the big sign sign above its door flashed a picture of a lady leaning against a road bike with the words Cadillac Jack blinking in that usual neon red, green and blue that signs like that do.
About 500 yards away was a man, dressed in biker leathers and slumped over a road sign giving directions to the Bar she was currently looking at. As she flicked a bit of blood from her jacket Rose let out a little sigh, this was not how she wanted to be spending her evening. A bottle of whiskey, a decent night club and something to keep her attention for a few hours sounded ideal. Instead she was waiting on her so-called team mates to take care of this mission. The brief of was very simple. Someone had stolen from The Light. That someone had hijacked a transport truck which in turn been tracked to this bar. She couldn't see the truck, so either that meant it was hidden somewhere or it had been moved. Either way that meant someone inside knew something.
This was well outside her pay grade but dad wanted her to mingle, get to know the others on her team. Said it would help her standing. She already knew it meant that her doing well reflected on him. So while he was off doing something fun. Rose got to stand in the dust waiting for a bunch of mental patients and psychos. She hated waiting for no good reason and they were not a good reason.
Rose was tempted to just complete the mission on her own but then that would just make Slade mad, she didn't want that. More than anything she didn't want that, the things she had to do just to get her father to go easy on her. Taking out a small flask she knocked back a drink before screwing the lid back on. The flask was a trinket she had lifted from a dead soldier a few years back. It had been sitting glinting amount the blood and bodies. Rose wasn't usually one for keepsakes but a portable drink dispenser was not something you just pass up on and now she carried it everywhere filled with her favourite tipples. Which meant strong and had a kick that could ruin a tank. Enjoying the light burn as it filled her throat and lungs the girl pushed the dead body from sign and went to lean against the bike he had been on. Might as well look the part she mused. Granted a long coat over her usual armour was not going to be much of a disguise but Rose wasn't in the mood for subtle.

It was quite the shady setting that the Light had sent the Shadow Squad to on this given a night. A biker bar on the outskirts of Gotham just screamed that there was evil afoot. The neon sign above the door was like a beacon to all those bikers who passed on such a cold, blistery night. Outside there were several different types of bikes parked, of all different shapes and sizes that were scattered around in a rather sporadic fashion. Music could be heard booming out from the place, along with the stench of cheap booze and not very good food.
Not too far behind where Rose Wilson was positioned, several yards behind her in fact. There came a slight crackling sound that was then followed by a sudden bright flash in the immediate area. Its source was a portal that had formed. It grew to be several yards in diameter, and flickered as it glowed – much different to the gloomy sky that loomed above. Rose would not be left waiting for too long, as from the portal emerged her fellow Shadow Squad teammate; Safira. Safira appeared well geared judging by her appearance. She wore her standard assassin attire, with both the hood up already, as well as the balaclava that covered her mouth. In her right hand she held her bow by the wooden grip, and on her back was a quiver filled with arrows. It was no doubt an indication of Safira’s intent for this mission. The Light would want a quick, clean and precise outcome to proceedings – of which Safira could oblige.
It was quite the unusual request what they had been asked to do. It seemed very simple in essence, tracking down a truck. But it was obviously not so simple, because whatever was in that truck was of great importance to the members of the Light - at least important enough for them to call the Shadow Squad into action. Otherwise one would assume the Light could just purchase another truck. It was odd though. If whatever the truck was carrying was of such importance, why didn’t the Light put the Squad on this sooner? To ensure nothing like what’s happened, happened. Still, it was a change of pace from most nights for Safira. She typically spent most nights hunting down an individual of some description, or carrying out the will of the Demon Head in some way.
Safira would approach Rose, stepping up alongside her to gaze out over towards the bar. She figured that Rose had been there for some time, and had probably already analysed the situation they found themselves in. “How did we end up running grunt work…”. Safira would ask; a League assassin, a contract killer and whoever else would be joining them tasked with a repossession job for a truck – bit much, eh? While the bar didn’t appear to be the most pleasant place, Safira couldn’t wait to get inside, into the warm. But for now, she would have to battle the cold alongside Rose. OOC: I didn’t say the portal had collapsed just yet. So for any of you who are joining, feel free to use it as a mode of transportation to the scene (from the Sanctum). (:

Grunt work while beneath them was still a chance to get out and stretch her legs so to speak. A little death and destruction was always fun and usually it didn’t matter where it came from and the fact that tonight would probably lead to some fun kills made Nightshade not mind the errand they had been sent on. When the order came down Nightshade suited up on her ‘work’ clothes but left her mask behind, it had been getting in the way lately and it was something she was tired of anyway..not to mention that it prevented her from one of her favorite ways to kill and she was not going to have that.
Once she was ready Nightshade met up with the others that had been sent on this task, by the looks of things it seemed that this was a female only mission. Probably some kind of team building exercise or something like that..humans really liked the idea of those didn’t they? Even people of the Lights persuasion didn’t seem to be above them. Nightshade waited for their resident portal jumper to open their path to their mission and as soon as the air in front of them split the Apokoliptian walked through and came out in a dark parking lot.
At first glance she was a little confused, what could possibly be so important that the Light had to send them? Surely this was a job for one of their recon teams and not people like them. Thou…then again after taking a second glance around maybe this could be fun.
“How did we end up running grunt work…”.
She heard one of her teammates say and Nightshade stepped forward a stand along side the other women. ”Oh come on, think of the fun we can have” She knew places like this had their reputations and it would be fun to challenge those, not to mention that she was never one to turn down a good fight or a kill or two.

"Ah Saffy, this ain't grunt work. This is the prelude to a night of partying" Rose smirked and offered her flask to the Assassin, at least she knew one of her compatriots for the evening "Just this one is going to have a higher body count than the last one. Probably less shopping as well."
Rose motioned to the bar in the distance "From what Deathstroke told me, this lot stole a truck that belongs to our bosses. They want us lovely ladies to find out who they sold the goods too." With a smirk Rose rolled her shoulder and let the long coat slip from her shoulders.
Adjusting her gloves she continued "We need to teach them a lesson, make sure others get that lesson and also find out the idiot buying goods that he really shouldn't. Could be a she I guess. Either way, bosses want a name."
Looking at the second person out the portal Rose gave a nod in greeting "Sup. I'm Rose aka Ravager. Who might you be?" Rose wasn't the politest of people, her world was conflict and struggle to be the best and strongest. Her measuring stick was her father after all. Teamwork was a new concept for her. Granted she had met and sort of bonded with Tay before but new people meant working out who and what they were for and if Rose had any real use for them. This new chick was attractive and dressed in a style that Rose could appreciate, so that was something at least.
With a soft chuckle she offered the new girl the flask "Want some? It is just some whiskey, not gonna floor you any time soon but taste is divine. Just no floaters. That is just wrong on so many levels." With a grin she waited to see what the girl would do with the flask before continuing her speech "We will give the others a little bit longer and then see what toys we have to play with. We are gonna need some recon at least. I don't know if it is just bikers in there or something actually worth our time. Though dibs on any cute ones. I haven't broken a heart in days. Anyone leaves that place give them time to get a decent distance before making them disappear Safira. I don't want cops getting involved. This is our night of fun, for shizz and giggles." Not that Rose said Shizz but a very similar word that won't cause issues to delicate ears.
"Last thing we need is cops, swat and other escalating organisations getting involved. Especially capes. This is covert until we know who was sold too. Then we wipe this place off the map and go have ourselves a good time some place else."

It appeared that this was not going to be just a #TeamAssassin mission. As they were soon joined by a third member of the Shadow Squad, and from the looks of things it appeared to be Ladies night at the rundown biker bar. It was good to see a new face, until now Safira had only encountered Jager, Rose and Jinx. This new-face was someone that Safira didn’t recognise though; she sure didn’t appear to look anything like the boy-scout clone or any of the others. Safira glanced towards the newbie, with a smile, though hidden beneath the balaclava. ”I am going to go ahead and guess that you’re new as well”. It made sense. ”Safira – don’t listen to what patch calls me”. Safira would add, transferring the bow into her left hand before holding out her right for a handshake. It was also a move to ensure that the trend of ‘Saffy’ didn’t continue. Nip it in the bud before it spreads any further.
Rose would soon go on to give what they had yet to receive; a mission briefing. It was better late than never, and while they very much remained in the dark for the most part, at least there was a plan. ”Well, subtlety has always been my strong suit”. Safira would say, glancing towards Rose. It had been while since Safira had been given a role in which entailed securing the perimeter. That was the basic jist of things, right? It seemed simple enough, disposing of anyone who would decide to leave or enter. The talents that the League Assassin had certainly made her capable of such a role – shame it had to be one of the most boring roles. It really was grunt work.
”Once you’re done, harassing the regulars inside, Rose. …save me a drink”. If Safira was to be stuck with the grunt work, then there better be a damn good reward at the end like alcohol. But now came the task of finding a good vantage point, somewhere where by Safira had a good view of everyone and everything going in and out of the place. Safira would gaze out over the area to look for such a place, and before long she found it. There was something of a small hill, nothing big, and atop it was a tree with a dense bush beside it. It overlooked the one road that passed through, and while it would be hard to see the backdoor of the place – this seemed as good a spot as any. ”I’ll be on comms”. With that said, Safira disappeared in a pink puff of smoke.

While the two of them exchanged their greetings Nightshade just stood there and waited. She had been at their little club house for a little while now but she did not socialize much with the others, usually sticking to her plants and pets. There were a few she had met and talked to..Jager of course since he was the one that brought her in but no one really seemed to spend too much time at the place. When the two girls were finally done and Nightshade was being address she nodded back in Rose’s direction ”Nightshade or, Ava on this planet.” having the flask offered Nightshade shook her head a little. ”Nah, wont work on me.”
Now that one of them had introduced themselves the other stepped up as well and held out her hand in greeting. Nightshade looked at it a moment, humans were so trusting but..then again they both had gloves on so nothing would happen regardless and..this was supposed to be her new team. Wouldn’t look good on her if she just started killing everyone right off the bat. Sticking out her hand Nightshade shook Safira’s before returning her attention back to the task at hand.
After everything was explained and the ninja girl poofed away Nightshade looked to Rose and began taking off her gloves ”well, subtlety was never my strong point so let’s go get some info.” Once the gloves here off Nightshade stuffed them into a pocket by her stiletto knife. She was ready to go have some fun.

A light shimmer of lavender and violet followed at the side of the remaining two women as the young mage walked along side quietly shrouded with a cowl over her head and only the slightest hint of pink hair peeking out of her hood. She'd arrived late having been redirected hear by the dark sorcerers of the Light to give her aid; begrudgingly though she came. This wasn't her usual assignment. She normally was sent on missions that interested the dark sorcerers, a biker establishment was hardly worth any of the Shadow Squad's time. The girl just appeared following into step next to the other two as though she'd been there all along even if she hadn't. A large raven perched on her slender shoulder seemingly unfazed by the magical shroud that fell from their form as they both materialized into the physical. "I've been sent to aid you." she said, her voice soft with the slightest lilt of an accent; Italian if any were familiar with the language, if not she would just sound a little 'off'. With another spoke word, this one in a tongue unrecognizable to any but the bird, it took flight and circled the establishment at hand from above. The place before her stank or alcohol, sweat, sex and refuse. Jinx wrinkled her nose the scent was rather pungent and disgusting to her. The sooner they got what they needed the sooner she could be out of this stink hole. Even the neon sign above the door was blaringly gaudy like a beacon to any and all bikers who were within eye shot or eye sore if Jinx were to describe it. She hated cess pools. Outside there were several different types of bikes parked, of various makes, shapes and sizes that were scattered around in a rather sporadic fashion and yet grouped in their respective 'companions'. Her slender fingers danced upon a couple of them, light threads of violet magic tendrils danced about her fingers and onto the motor bikes as the young mage passed by with a crease of a devious smile upon her lips; like a little joke only she knew and found amusing. Music, if that is what one could call that ruckus could be heard blaring out from the place. Soon, very soon and it would be a different sound blaring from the roadhouse. "They call me Jinx." she said simply to those that have not already heard of her. Granted if they did it wasn't anything good. Most thought her strange and she did not look like she amounted to much, then again each of the Shadow Squad members were champions within the Dark Side Club's arena so there was some competency there. Mind you others would say it was just plain luck that she survived at all. Either way she got the attention enough from the dark sorcerers to have taken her in and train her. So here she was now, sent by the powers that be to aid her squad in the successful completion of this mission; like it or not. === OOC: sorry Post is meh, I really had a hard time thinking of something to write

As Tay vanished Rose pouted a little before speaking over the comms "You didn't have to go anywhere you know, specially not anywhere you are gonna miss out on the fun stuff. Just a quick look around is fine."
As they walked to the bar and another girl appeared Rose gave her a look over, she looked kinda harmless to be honest but Rose knew appearances were deceiving. With a brief smile Rose motioned to herself and Ava "I'm Ravager and this is Nightshade. Nice you could join us for the party."
Close enough now that Rose could smell the booze and sweat she shook her head "This place is a pit. There is no way anyone that drinks regularly in a place like this could have pulled this heist without help."
A burly man strode towards the three girls puffing himself up to look intimidating "Hey girls, Halloweeen is a bit early. Go back to the city and find yourself a nice cooler."
Rose looked at her two companions and smirked softly "Gee Mister, we are so lost and..." Rose grabbed the guy by his lapels and lifted him off the ground "You know what, I can't even be assed pretending. I am going to call you Geoff. We are looking for something and well Geoff, you don't look you can be any help to us. You are a doorman though, so show us in."
With a soft chuckle the Merc shifted her weight and threw the now named Geoff straight up into the air "Hey Saffy, Geoff wants to open the door for us. Can you make sure he shows us the door?" Rose was a lot stronger than she looked as the biker flew upwards, the woman turned to her two companions "Quick recap for Jinxy here. We need one alive. The rest, well that is up to us. Personally, I hate places like this. Sexiest, stinky, vile holes in the middle of nowhere. Lets find out who stole our bosses toys."
With that said Rose motioned to the building "Party started Ladies. Have at you!" Flicking her blade hilts out as they crackled to life with energy. "Though lets try and save the contents of the bar ok? They might have some decent booze in there."

In a poof of smoke did Safira reappear at the vantage point that she had picked out earlier. It gave a great view of the landscape surrounding the place, seemingly rolling on for miles. It wasn’t long after having appeared that Safira heard the sound of Rose’s voice speaking through the comms link. Saffy would go on to respond, whilst already taking a look about the road that passed right by in front of the bar. ”You know, I haven’t been on perimeter work since I was like… seventeen”. Scouting and watching the perimeter whilst the rest advance was usually a task going to the least experienced members of the League of Shadows. It was one of the less hazardous tasks to take on, although there is always room for things to get interesting. ”I’ll have a look round and get back to you. Try not to miss me too much”.
From there, Safira went through the motions with this type of role. She appeared and reappeared at various points in the surrounding area. Looking and listening out for any forms of life. There was nothing and nobody. It was a total wasteland, a blank canvas in the middle of nowhere, with no points of interest to anyone but the regulars at this fine establishment. ”No-one about, it’s just a wasteland out here”. Safira said, taking another glance down the road. There were no cars about at all, no lights up ahead or anything. ”Plus, I don’t think anyone else will be pulling up anytime soon”. She added. ”We may get the odd car driving by, but, it seems pretty packed. Anyone foolish enough to stop by once the fun starts deserves to be caught in our crosshairs”. Outside the bar were many different motorbikes of all different shapes and sizes – there was barely any room for anyone else.
”Hey Saffy, Geoff wants to open the door for us. Can you make sure he shows us the door?”
”With pleasure”. Safira would then form a spike of spatial energy, pink in color and pulsating with light. She used it in tandem with her bow, to fire it like an arrow. As Geoff was thrown up into the air, the girls would see this pink spike shoot through the air towards Geoff. It made contact with him, and Geoff disappeared. Geoff would emerge a mere second later from a portal that was several dozen yards high above the roof of the bar. Geoff was in a state of free fall, screaming out loud as he fell like deadweight in a downwards trajectory, eventually falling through the roof of the bar. Geoff fell right through, bringing with him some debris from the roof.
Moments later, Safira reappeared beside the three girls. ”You’ve got to admit, that was pretty awesome”. OOC: Pretty sure I started to ramble at one point, my bad

Just by the few minutes of meeting her new teammates Nightshade could already tell they were going to get along just fine. They all seemed to enjoy the cat and mouse killing just as much as she did and there was nothing better than some girl bonding over a few drinks and some random killing. When Rose threw the door man in the air Nightshade looked on slightly impressed. As far as she knew Ravager was a human and that was a strength you didn't see much of in the normal humans of this planet. Her impressiveness of the girls went even further as the man disappeared into a pink portal only to come up further above the bar and fall to the ground. "ooo, I like you girls." She spoke looking to Ravager and Safira. Nightshade wasn't sure what the other new comer could do exactly, she knew she was a magic user but her experience with magic was very limited but she was sure that once she got to see Jinx in action that she would like her just as much.
"My turn" Now that they had gotten the go ahead to start this little party Nightshade gave a wicked smirk as she entered the bar as black and purple eyes scanned over it for her first victim. The others had gotten to show what they could do now she wanted a chance to show off a bit. As the girls entered the men inside all turned in their direction, trying to decide if this was some kind of weird stripper thing or some kind of a joke. Nightshade could see the men all exchange glances and a few of them started to smirk and laugh. None of them privy to the danger they were in. Deciding to play that up a little she entered the bar more, stopping in the middle of it with her hand on her hips. "Who's ready for a party?" She called out to the bar and the slight confusion the men might have had before was quickly replaced with something different. The prospect of a 'party' had sent low laughs and whistles all around the building and finally one man stepped forward first.
Just by looking at the way he carried himself Nightshade knew what was coming and the lewd comment he made to her as he stopped in front of her and reached around to wrap his hand around her waist and pulled her to him was just the icing on the cake.
"So, you girls want to party huh?"
Nightshade smirked and looked back at the other ladies behind her "yeah, we love to party. Don't we girls?" looking back to the man she pressed herself into him before leaning up and smashing her lips against his. At first the man was into it but that quickly changed a few seconds later. Removing his hands from around her waist the man tried to struggle to pull away but nightshade being stronger held him in place. Around the mans face you could see black veins snake out across his skin just as his body started to shake. Having enough Nightshade pulled back and no longer having her holding him up the man fell to his knees and clutched at the burnt and blistered skin around his lips. Gasping for air the man tried to reach out for anything that could help but he was unable to speak thanks to the poison that had burned his throat shut.
Looking down at the man in disgust Nightshade brought her boot up and kicked the man over to his back just as the poison took the mans final breaths. All around the bar hardened, big, intimating men stood there quiet for a moment before they realized what had happened and began pulling out weapons of their own. The Apokolpitan looked back over her shoulder at her squad mates "Come on girls this is a party, don't let me have all the fun." (I dont really know what happened..she just ran with it. Let me know if you want anything changed.)

They say chaos brings the curse of destruction, but to Jinx, chaos was a gift and destruction it wrought was simply the means to cleanse the field of unwanted and unworthy. Chaos purifies and leaves the only the worthy left to stand after its wake. And hence the chaos started, it started with the doorman and the words of Ravager's soft chuckle as the Merc shifted her weight and threw the one named Geoff straight up into the air
"Hey Saffy, Geoff wants to open the door for us. Can you make sure he shows us the door?"
Then came the form of a spike of spatial energy, pink in color and pulsating with light, like an arrow the pink spike shot through the air towards Geoff. It made contact with him, and Geoff disappeared only to emerge a mere second later from a portal that was several dozen yards high above the roof of the bar.
"ooo, I like you girls." Came the comment from the one called Nightshade; a comment directed towards Safira and Ravager before the young woman moved into action. Only curiously to Jinx it was less of an aggressively violent approach but with a name like Nightshade, the young mage had an inkling of what it was the woman was capable of. And she did not seem to disappoint in Jinx's summation as around the man's face you could see black veins snake out across his skin just as his body started to shake as the woman kissed him. When Nightshade pulled back the man fell to his knees and clutched at the burnt and blistered skin around his lips. Gasping for air the man tried to reach out for anything that could help but he was unable to speak thanks to the poison that had burned his throat shut.
Looking down at the man in disgust Nightshade brought her boot up and kicked the man over to his back just as the poison took the man's final breath. All around the bar hardened, big, intimating men stood there quiet for a moment before they realized what had happened and began pulling out weapons of their own.
Jinx barely moved as the onslaught of her companions started, the smaller girl draped in black cloak and hood looked diminutive compared to her three companions with only the pale skin of her hands and face peaking through the folds of her long cloak and her pink hair only peaking out of the cowl until her slender fingers slowly pulled back the hood letting it sink and fall behind her shoulders as she looked about at the weapons and guns drawn.
She looked even more out of place once her face was shown; lacking the look or hardened edge. Jinx actually looked confused at the weapons drawn before her and the young mage bent to knee as she briefly knelt to the ground on one knee, her hand grasping some of the dust and debris of the floor created when Geoff plummeted earlier.
Guns clicked at the ready aimed at the young woman on her knees. A lewd comment was made about her position but whether Jinx understood the comment or not was unclear for she continued to have that strange look of aloofness to her. Slowly she rose her head brining up the clutched debris as her hand snaked light tendrils of a pink/purple spark that was barely noticeable in the bar's lighting. Jinx's hand then opened and the young mage blew out softly only what erupted instead was a plume of flames that engulfed the man that thought to make the comment about her on her knees.
"No, you are better suited on your knees." Jinx said softly. The young mage stood then as the man dropped his gun and fell to his own knees writhing in pain as the magical fires engulfed him, his agonizing screams doing nothing more than curling the young sorcerer's lips slightly at the corners.
More guns clicked at the ready some aimed at Jinx, others at her companions; guns and other weapons.
"Those won't help you now." the pale pink one said with a soft voice that sounded like a whispered threat as pink and purple energies arced and snaked about her fingers and forearms. Then came the impotent clicks of some of the weapons aimed at her as some jammed while others misfired on their user causing pain and injury.
The young girl smiled in what could only be described as a creepy malevolent manner. "Those won't help you at all..."
