She really needed to get an apartment elsewhere. There were all types of loud noises and senseless squabbles here. This place was always so packed and loud, but it wasn’t like she truly wished for it to be empty. If there could be a perfect place, it would be this place with a bit more light and calmer meta humans. All the people here had so many personalities she was not fond of. At the same time, Siren truly wasn’t sure what she was fond of. At one point, her ideal friends were brave and loyal but now she couldn’t see anyone exhibiting such traits. Everyone was a coward in one way or another, and most were far from loyal. The people here weren’t friend loyal till the end to one another. They were all blood thirsty warriors that had proved they were capable in battle and willing to take a life to prove such things. Siren had taken several lives in the arena for sport and then others for the gains of the Light. Her loyalty was a simple program that told her in the back of her mind that she wished to do this, but at the same time being aware it was all conditioning probably made such a loyalty questionable. Everything to her was questionable. Her life. Her death. Her new life. None of them truly made sense to her. There were so many opposing ideas in her head that sometimes she felt sick. At times, she simply wanted a moment to think and yet it was impossible in this place. At any moment, someone would attempt to demonstrate their superiority and then she needed to step in. This place was like a cage of animals, all more vicious than the next. Siren stood there in her armor in the lounge as she watched the Dark Side Club’s elite socialize. The woman has very little interest in socializing. In her previous life, she was far from a social butterfly but death had made her cold. At the same time, some of these people were to be used on missions later so she was expected to make some effort. Most times, those efforts failed and she was either regulating this place to keep the peace or in a loud room reading surface world literature to learn more about a world she had very little understanding about before her death. For all intended purposes, she did come out here to read but it seemed like she would have to act like an enforcer after seeing the one of the Dark Side Club’s members destroy the sound creating device they called a radio in a fit of rage. The male who’s property he destroyed had gotten up to attempt to stop him though watery restraints forced him back into his chair before he could go challenge the other. “What do you think you are doing?” she asked both males as she stared them down. “You are all required to play nice just like anyone else,” she reminded them. Her cold steely gaze made them both shy away as they stomped off to different corners of the facility. Siren groaned as she stood there. It was just another violent day in the Sanctum as always. | OCT 3, 2017 Tag: open Note: Reusing... |
