Date: November 30, 2017 Time: 10:59 pm Location: Formerly Butte, Montana Tags: @connerkent, zee, @flyintoinfinityKlarion watched from his lair inside the castle as several would be interlopers appeared before him, and he realized that it was to be expected by this point. After all, it wasn’t like his fellow members of the Light hadn’t warned him that there would be resistance to a plan to transform the world once again. ”No doubt. Nabu is attempting to overwrite my spell to make it easier on them,” he commented as he stroked Teekl. Well, it wouldn’t matter if the Lord of Order had done some tinkering with things to work the game in the heroes favor. Waving his hand over the mirror, Klarion separated the heroes, vigilantes and few sinister individuals into three groups that would appear at different locations in the town. This group was transported to the western road that led into town, and upon appearing at that spot the spell would have transformed them into the roles that they were meant to play. Sadly, they still seemed to retain their powers and extra weapons that they had brought with them. ”Curse Nabu. He has probably allowed them to retain their personalities as well! No matter. They won’t survive with what I have planned in store for them.”’Meow.’”Yes, Teekl. I will throw that at them should the get that far, but not a second earlier.” Sometimes, that cat was more enthusiastic about his games than the Witch Boy was, but in this case it was definitely warranted. After all, how could one not feel the adrenaline pumping with what he knew what was coming? His laughter echoed throughout the room, and a roar was what answered it. (OOC: Alright Ladies and Gentleman. By the time you post in this thread, you should have received and read a message that explains to you how your appearance has changed and what items you have been granted by Klarion’s game. You have one week to make a post about your arrival and noticing the changes and items before I throw up another post to get things started, and if you should fail to post after two mod posts have been made then your character shall be banished from Klarion’s kingdom.)

Before his sudden appearance in the medieval town Conner had been getting his gear moved into a new place and was mid lift as he appeared in the town.
"Huh?" Conner muttered in surprise as the couch he had been lifting on his shoulder was gone and replaced with a large hammer. It took him a moment to realise that was not all that was different. His usual black outfit was replaced with next to nothing. Fur boots, a weird furry kilt thing and that was it. Conner's usual frown deepened to one of complete annoyance. This was not something he found funny or enjoyable at all.
"I hate magic." It was the only thing he needed to say, it summed up everything that he felt about his current situation. This had all the markings of a Mage of some sort messing with things. From the weird chill that he could feel from the hammer draped over his shoulder Superboy could tell it was magic or science that might as well be magic but his bet was on magic.
Though why the mage who did this felt the need to make him wear next to nothing with a giant hammer was beyond him, the barbarian look and typical attitude was lost on the clone. It would make perfect sense to everyone else but to Conner it was just weird. At least he was grateful that he was wearing anything which meant it wasn't some twisted fantasy of a crazy wizard. With a mental shudder Conner gave a look around to see if he was the only one here. Whatever was going on, he was going to hit it. Really really hard. Which he decided was rather lucky that he had a massive hammer to do it with. Ok, perhaps he liked the hammer. Giving it a swing back and forth Conner nodded to himself, yeah he liked the hammer. Someone was going to be hit with the hammer, that much he had decided on. Right now it was enough of a plan for the Barbarian of Steel.

The disturb that Nabu sense had started in some small town called Butte, Montana. The League had became aware when there was an odd tremor in the area and satellite feeds of the area showed there was definitely something wrong. A giant medieval castle was up in the center of town, dark and ominous, with people in period clothing walking about like it was normal. Butte was supposed to be a more of a suburb type of town rather than something from the dark ages.
This smelled of Klarion and his little grimy magical hands. Zatanna was definitely peeved to see him up to his old tricks again though she wasn't the only one who didn't look too happy. Nabu claimed he could counter some of the magic but Klarion was using forces that would require not only some people going towards the city the spell was originating from but also others to go find magical items that would be aiding in his cause to fight this chaos. Naturally, she wanted to be one of the direct assault teams of this matter. Groups were assigned and she went with Rocket and Hawkwoman to go stop the matter.
And that's where it all went wrong.
The moment they landed, his magic took over. Her teammates were gone in an instant and smoke swirled around her body. It wasn't as if a little smoke was going to bother her but before she could cast something to dispel it, the smoke disappeared and left her in a weird outfit. She wasn't in her normal attire but some medieval robe customary for magic users from a video game. It came it a matching droopy hat as well. "Really? You're so lame," she complained as she rolled her eyes. Her hand reach to her ear as she pressed her comm link on. "Zatanna to Justice League..."
The moment she tried to communicate, the device fell out her ear and seemed to be shifting and shaping. It turned into a white mass as feathers and claws seemed to form until it took the appearance of an owl. "Good evening child of Zatara. I am Archimedes. I have come to aid you on your most noble of quests by orders of the Lord of Order..." The mage blinked a few times as it flew up and took its place on her shoulder.
"So... I'm a wizard with a owl familiar now? What?"
"I sense great hostility in your voice."
"You bet your feather butt you do. Do you know where my friends are?"
"I know many things, but that is not something I can answer for you. You must quest to find them-" he said before Zatanna closed his beak and started to walk along. He started to squawk until she let his mouth go. Unfortunately, he started talking again. Zatanna sighed as the bird talked on and on about her quest and how she needed to remember herself and her wits. The longer she was in this place, the longer Klarion's magic would dull her senses until she accepted this as reality like the townspeople had done. The only thing he could give her to aid her was a magical orb that was said to grant the wishes of a young pure maiden.
So on top of needing to find her friends and punch Klarion square in the nose, she had to hope she fit the qualifications of a magical blue ball. Life was just swell right now.
Zatanna sighed as she kept walking, ignoring the talking bird until it finally hushed. The two hadn't trekked long before they were coming up on a man dressed in very little. His outfit made her want to blush and it wasn't like her usual clothing covered a lot. The moment she was close, she heard a familiar voice groan on how it hated magic. "Ouch. Though, I wonder if I should take that personal or not," Zatanna said as she looked over Conner in his new outfit. He was Conan the Kryptonian or maybe Conner the Barbarian. The fur covered essentials and left everything else for everyone to see. She wasn't sure if he was really supposed to be a barbarian or some teenage girl's medieval fantasy.
"Nice outfit," she teased. "With the hammer, it's very Conner smash and if not careful, flash. But..." As fun as it was to joke with old friends, it was more important to find the people she came with and beat Klarion to a bloody pulp. "Did you come here with others? I know I did. I came with..."
And then her mind drew a blank.
Her memories were starting to get fuzzy. She knew she left the Watchtower to come here with a group but then smoke surrounded her and now she had a talking owl and Conner in front of her. None of this was right though the closer in town she had been walking, the less wrong it had started to feel. Her senses were being tampered with. That bastard!
"Never mind. I'm going to find a castle and then beat the jerk who's doing this. I've owed that brat a spanking or two for awhile now."
Though, if Conner was here, who else was? Did the Team decide to investigate as well? Would they find Miss Martian? Nightwing? Artemis?

To say Artemis was in a predicament was an understatement. It wasn't every day you go from the dingy city street to a foreign dirt road. Unless you dabbled in the hero business. Then you just had to expect the unexpected.
Step 1, don't panic. That was easy enough. She had plenty of training in that area. She took a deep breath to bring her heart rate down. She needed to keep a clear mind if she wanted to figure out exactly how she got here. Her guess: magic.
Something nudged her from behind and she jumped into fight mode. She found a bow in her hand and muscle memory had her reaching for a quiver she no longer possessed. The lack of arrows reminded her that she no longer carried a bow in her arsenal, and the one she held was most definitely not her own. She put that thought aside however, as she threw down the bow and ready to fight however pushed her with her bare hands. Which would be useless when she met her assailant. She might be athletic, but fighting some giant bear-dog-thing didn't have a positive outcome.
Luckily, she didn't have to. The beast nudged her again with its snout, and then gave her a friendly lick. While the slobber was unnecessary, she knew now that this beast was not going to kill her. Artemis reached up hesitantly and scratched it behind the ear. It seemed to enjoy that and leaned into her touch. "Good girl? Boy?" She said, and the animal did not correct her. At least she knew it couldn't speak.
With a quick once over, she deduced the animal was some kind of war steed, considering it wore fitted armor and a saddle. Well, it liked her enough, she might as well figure out what's happening on the back of some friendly beast than on foot. She moved over to its side to climb on when she noticed the bow she threw to the ground. "It's not like it hurts to have it," she reasoned as she picked it up. She then climbed up on her new friend. "Now where to?"
Further down the road was a town. If she squinted, she could make out two blurry people who might be able to provide answers. If they proved to be hostile, she was positive she and her new friend could get out relatively safe. Assuming the beast operated like a horse, she light smacked the reigns down while also nudging it with her heel. It bolted forward, and Artemis quick reflexes kept her from flying off.
"Hey, you two!" She called out as she neared them, she pulled back on the reigns, hoping to slow her companion down. Luckily, it complied. "Where am-- Zantanna? Conner?" She couldn't hide the smirk as she took in their appearances. She especially appreciated the nearly naked Superboy. Their odd outfits brought attention to her own, that had changed from her normal Tigress uniform to some renaissance fair ensemble or maybe something out of the Lord of the Rings. Luckily, she still had slacks. "Either of you know what's going on?"

Klarion watched as each one of them took in the various changes that they had gone through as well as the weaponry that they had been given. ”I really hate Nabu,” he muttered while he watched. Then they started talking to one another, and the Witch Boy knew where that would lead. They would start figuring out what was going on and what they needed to do, and he couldn’t have them do that just yet. After all, they hadn’t even got the chance to face one of his newly created pets, and that just wouldn’t do. Waving his hands over the crystal ball, he orchestrated a little test to see how well they could adapt. Almost immediately, villagers started running toward the group of four in a panic. ”You must run! There are skeletons coming up out of the ground,” a man exclaimed before running past them. Several similar statements were made by others that were fleeing, and screams of panic could be heard farther down the road as well as the sounds of a trying battle. It was quite clear that something disastrous was occurring, and if the heroes were true of heart than they would have to do something intervene on these people’s behalf. If the heroes did go farther in, then they would see exactly four skeletons locked in battle with the town's militia, and the militia were losing as the bone warriors were either striking out with mundane weaponry or fireballs. From the looks of things, the skeletons were trying to force their way toward a statue in the center of a nearby park. "Hurry men. Let's send these poor souls back to the bowels of the underworld from whence they came," yelled one of the men who tried to push forward. He was subsequently knocked aside by one of the shields of the skeletons, and the group of undead began to dispatch of anyone that got in their way. It is quite clear that someone would have to stop the sinister skeletons before they completely wiped out the town, which would be very bad for tourism. (OOC: Alright. This is a pretty simple fight that the four of you can handle anyway that you want. You can tag team against a couple of them or each take on one. For sanity's sake, the skeletons are named Pyro (fireball one), Swiss (sword arm), Grue (Smokey One) and Kiba (Full Armored One). Take as many posts as necessary for the four of you to defeat them. Just remember not to double post, and as always try to have fun playing with them. @connerkent, zee, @flyintoinfinity, and @sumaru. If you have any questions PM ME.)

The sound of the female voice drew his attention away from the current predicament "Zee..Zantana. You are here too? That's something positive at least." He tried to move a little to hide the fact she was making comment on him not wearing much, praying that he wasn't flashing anything he shouldn't be. There was no way to check so he turned in a circle and when his back was to her Conner checked quickly trying to disguise it as a looking at the ground for clues. Then the familiar voice of Artemis chimed in as well. Great, two women staring at me. Conner thought as he gave the mounted hero a wave. "I see you all got altered by the magic too. Just me that ended up half naked though."
When the shouts came from the villagers Superboy gave a smirk of relief, anything to get them away from this current situation and to something he could deal with. Looking at the skeletons the boy of steel charged the biggest one with a roar and slammed his hammer as hard as he could into it. The ring of metal on metal filled the air and the armoured skeleton dropped to the floor. Conner looked pretty pleased with himself as he hefted the weapon back onto his shoulder. The impact had crushed the breastplate, all in all a mighty blow.
As Conner turned to check on the others, the sound of bone on metal caught his attention. Turning in time to see the bony knight get back onto its feet unphased by the dented breastplate and begun to attack with Conner dodging as best he could. Magic was one of those odd things, either it didn't effect him or it did. Right now he wasn't sure he wanted to find out until he had too
"Uh Zee, how do you stop these things?" Conner yelled as he fended off the evil knight "There is always a tactic or something right?" Magic had weird rules, sometimes they could even be helpful. From his point of view he had just crushed the chest of one and it was still trying to kill him. So killing blows like that were useless. It had no brain so no point taking its head off, that was zombies. Stakes was vampires and silver was werewolves. Conner couldn't think of any horror film he had seen with skeletons in it.

In truth, Roy was kind of late to the party of Chaosland, but only by a few minutes which was more than enough time for things to go crazy. Like everyone else, he was also thrust into medieval attire, but he lacked any special gifts or physical changes aside from looking like a red version of Robin Hood. Of course, he still had his trick arrows to rely on if things got a little to nasty, which was a good thing because upon arriving he was teleported to a section of town with a group of relative unknown people who quickly ran off into town.
”Probably better off on my own,” he muttered as he tugged the crimson hood down to cover his eyes. Making his way through the town, his ears were quickly drawn to the sounds of battle, and it sounded anything from natural. In truth, it was a godsend as it was the first sign that there were actual people in this town that needed rescuing, so he broke into a run in the direction of where the sound was coming from. If it weren’t for the distinct sound, it would have been rather difficult for him to find his way to where the war was being rage, but he rounded a corner at the same time @connerkent asked his question to Zatanna.
Loading an arrow, he shot an explosive arrow into the back of the head of the skeleton with a sword arm, and a second later it blew the skull apart which was followed by the bones collapsing to the ground in a heap. ”It seems that breaking some bones is the way to go,” he called out as he fired another arrow at the smoking one. Sadly, this one didn’t actually hit anything vital, so perhaps another tactic was needed.
