3rd of November
Thunk. Thud. Thud. Thunk.
It was a quick and steady rhythm that was easily heard about the loud industrial music. Seven was training. Like every time he trained there was loud music, a bunch of monitors that all flickered with information about many different subjects and the old kung fu training doll that he had found in an old junk shop.
The attack pattern was already memorised but there was a sort of calm that came with repeating it. So the dummy shook in its stand as the strikes hit it and moved into blocking motions back into rapid strikes in the chest of the wooden effigy. His attention was on the tv screens as they provided knowledge on a variety of subjects. The upper left was flickering though guided tours of various american cities, this was to provide the clone with a better knowledge of landscapes. The upper right was quickly displaying martial art movies, all with subtitles. The bottom left was a monitor giving him insight into social situations from a documentary type stand point. The bottom right was showing My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Seven found the show educational as well as insightful. His favourite pony was Luna or Twilight Sparkle. Luna because she was misunderstood like him and Twilight because she sought information like he did and had issues making friends at first. He could relate.
The music was another thing he had taken a liking too, something he found he could related too. Music about being a machine, machines taking over or just general robotic precision. While he wasn't one himself, the subject matter resonated.
It was a good job the male didn't sweat, his body didn't need to deal with things like that. This sort of workout pushed everything he had to keep up, that amount of information as well as eye to hand co-ordination was pushing his limits but that was the point. How could he improve if he didn't push himself. Even perfection could be improved upon in his view.

Kara smiled as she walked through Mount Justice, looking for someone to spend time with. She had spent weeks planning a day out with one of her friends from Metropolis University, when that friend backed out last minute. Now, Kara was left with an entire afternoon to kill, seeing as she'd already cleared her schedule.
Though it was slightly disappointing, the Kryptonian decided to make the best of it. If she could find a willing teammate, who had some free time, they could spend the afternoon doing virtually anything. Her super-powered friends weren't tied down to a specific location or activity, meaning their possibilities were endless. With high hopes, Kara had been searching for anyone there, but her search had come up empty. Everyone was busy. Finally, the young girl decided that she would settle for spending time with herself, but not without looking for company once more. She journeyed through Mount Justice yet again, looking for anybody she could find, when she chose to check the training area. Kara entered the room slowly. She wanted to see who was inside, before she interrupted them. The first thing she noticed was the music, no one needed superhearing to hear that. Secondly, she noticed an unfamiliar face. Someone was, perfectly, executing a martial arts performance at the expense of his wooden target- while watching four different things, on four different monitors, all at once.
Kara couldn't help but stop and watch for a moment. His skills were impressive, but why hadn't she seen him around before? She figured that he must be the new member that everyone had been talking about. The two had yet to be introduced, though, so Kara took it upon herself to at least say hi. She knew what it was like to be the newest member, and she figured it would be more difficult for him, seeing as he wasn't related to, well, Superman. The young girl smiled as she approached the martial artist. "I can't tell if you just want a good workout, or if you're getting revenge on that target, but either way, you've got mad skills." She extended a hand toward the individual. "I'm Supergirl. Nice to meet you."

It took Seven a moment to realise that someone else was in the room, the sensory overload from everything else was taking up his ability to focus. But as the MLP episode came to an end Seven caught the end of what Kara was saying. Using a remote to pause the TVs and music he turned to face her with a smile "It is a pleasure to meet you Supergirl. I am Seven." He shook the hand firmly. He hadn't thought there was anyone else around. Being the new guy meant he didn't get missions as much as the older more experienced members or perhaps they were still unsure if he was a threat to them or not.
"I am sorry if my music or training disturbed you. I wasn't aware of anyone else in the cave." Seven looked thoughtful "I am unsure what you mean by mad skills however." He hoped that this was a slang term. Mad was a term that meant insane, insane was not usually determined to be a good trait. Perhaps she meant that she considered his ability to be needing improvement or it lacked in a certain technique?
"Are you wishing to train?" Seven motioned to the room, there was more than enough space for them both and more people besides "I can move the monitors and dummy if they are a hindrance?" Though it didn't look like Supergirl was dressed to train. It dawned on him that her name might mean something more, after all he was well aware of Superman. The Alien.
"Are you also from Krypton?" Seven gave the girl an interested smile "I have been trying to do research on it but the internet does not hold any solid knowledge, just rumours and speculation. I would be most grateful if you could tell me about it? Do you have a language that is different from English? Is it possible for me to learn it? Are your internal organs the same as humans? Are your abilities the same as Superman? You have similar names. Is that your real name?"
It was a barrage of questions from the clone but learning about other worlds was something he had become extremely interested in since finding out about M'gann being from a totally different planet. Obsessed might have been a better word. The idea that knowledge wasn't limited to one place in existence was a comforting thought to the male.

Kara chuckled slightly at the many questions that the new guy was asking. She had never seen somebody so curious about other lifeforms before.
She knew that there would be no way to answer all of those questions, not with an explanation that would make sense to a human, so Kara opted for an easier approach. "You ask a lot of questions, don't you?" She gave a smile to indicate that she wasn't completely ignoring the interrogation. The girl felt slightly guilty for not supplying the answers that he'd wanted, but she needed to get a move on as soon as she could, she was burning daylight.
While looking for a way to politely end the converse, the Kryptonian decided that it would be too unfriendly to cut the conversation short. Sure, she wanted to spend the day elsewhere, but meeting new people was always fun, and it wouldn't hurt to learn a little bit more about Seven before she left.
"That isn't my real name, but I am from Krypton. Where are you from?"
Satisfied with her decision to stay, Kara couldn't help but wonder about the origins of her new teammate. So many members of the Team were from so many different places on Earth, and it was nice to see such a diversity.
She figured that Seven was probably metahuman, or simply an extremely skilled martial artist. He had most likely spent months practicing that Kung Fu technique, and Kara was sure that he trained all the time.
The young girl's curiosity rose as she pondered the possibilities, starting to have her own questions to ask.

She answered his questions with questions. That wasn't helpful at all, or perhaps he had not given anything up to trade in exchange for the answers he was seeking. That was easy enough, he would answer her questions and in return perhaps he would get answers of his own.
"I do ask a lot of questions, it is the only way to learn though. If I don't seek out information, how can I expect to locate it?" He nodded softly, it made perfect sense to the clone. "If it is not your real name, why do you use it? Are you protecting a secret identity like other team members? I am Seven but I use the name Sebastian to fit in around non-team mates. They do not seem to react well to people with numbers for names."
His eyes darted a little as he took in more of her body language and stance, but he still continued to answer her question "I was created in Cadmus. Since I have been free I have been meeting various team members. I have heard of Superman, M'gann let me see videos of the things he can do. His abilities are very interesting. It must be liberating to be able to defy the laws of science so easily." It was a fair assumption Seven thought that if one Kryptonian could do those things then all of them could. Already aware that copying the stance and muscle movement was not enough to cause him to fly, much to his annoyance. It still fascinated him that others could.
"You seem to want to leave, are you in a hurry? I do not want to keep you from something more important or engaging." He wasn't be sarcastic, from her body language he could see she wanted to move somewhere else, little twiches of restrained movement. Seven wasn't really one to get upset by things like that, people had their reasons for doing things and for the most part he was rather accepting of them. "I won't take offence if you need to be somewhere else. My questions can wait if need be." Seven gave the kryptonian a friendly smile "I won't be going anywhere to my knowledge, if I do then I will no doubt return here soon. So please do not stay on my account." There was very few reasons that Seven would leave the cave, and he didn't see any of them coming up any time soon. Everyone he knew was busy or on a mission. He just didn't like the idea of her staying due to some sort of conceived notion of politeness.

Kara had tried her best to keep up with everything that he was saying, and she'd had every intention of answering his questions, but she couldn't help but wonder about Seven's creation in Cadmus.
Was he a clone of someone else, just as Superboy had been? And if so, then who was he a clone of? Kara's knowledge of VII was very limited, to say the least. She'd learned a few things about him when he'd first joined the Team, but it was merely the basics. As far as the Kryptonian was concerned, Seven was just some guy with some cool abilities, and, quite frankly, it wasn't very strange, not when you're constantly surrounded by superheroes. Cadmus, though, had added a twist to the story. Kara thought that it was useful information, and she wondered how long Seven had stayed there, before being set 'free.' Dubious, and silently contemplating VII's relationship to Cadmus, Kara tuned in mid-conversation, catching the last half of whatever Seven was saying. "You seem to want to leave, are you in a hurry? I do not want to keep you from something more important or engaging. I won't take offence if you need to be somewhere else. My questions can wait if need be." The young man gave the kryptonian a friendly smile "I won't be going anywhere to my knowledge, if I do then I will no doubt return here soon. So please do not stay on my account." "Oh," Kara started, taken by surprise, almost unsure of what to say in response.
How did he know that? Was he a mind reader as well? Kara didn't remember saying anything about leaving. Sure, it had crossed her mind, but it wasn't like she'd started walking away, or saying goodbye, or anything. She had been, almost, fully committing herself to the conversation, and, in her mind, there was no way for him to have gotten the idea. Not unless he was some super-attentive body-language reader. ...Which was actually possible, wasn't it? "No, it's fine," Kara continued. "I was just gonna head to the beach, but my plans kinda got cancelled. My friend decided not to go with me, it's a long story." The Kryptonian rolled her blue eyes, still wishing that she could be on the warm sand, resting under the blazing sun, while listening to nothing but the waves crashing against the shore.

"I have time if you wish to tell the story. I enjoy hearing them" He gave another friendly smile, Seven did indeed enjoying hearing stories. Anything that helped explain life or maybe gave him insight into how others think or feel was a gold mine for the clone. Perhaps however she didn't want to tell it and was just making a statement in relation to her friends, which meant it was his job to sympathise and support. "I am sorry about your friends being busy, everyone I know is off doing something else as well. M'gann has University things, Katt is doing whatever it is she does when she is not here." Annd that was his list of people he really knew or spent time with.
Then it struck him, he had no real idea what a beach was. Perhaps they were avoiding it because it was bad. He had heard that people did that, said they were busy to avoid doing things. Sometimes he wondered if that was what people did with him but he dismissed it quickly because Seven was sure that the people he knew would just tell him so.
"Perhaps I can accompany you to the beach if that is if is something I am able to do. I am unsure if it is a female only, Kryptonian or some other activity I may not qualify for?" Seven gave a smirk, there was so many rules about things. Like the room with the female type shape was off limits to the male gender, there was clothes just for women and not for men. Women could wear a mans clothes but not the other way around without prejudice. Not that he wanted too, he didn't think they suited him. It was more that there seemed to be all sorts of strange does and don'ts to learn. It was entirely possible that the beach was another one of those things.
"If I can I would be honoured to accompany you. It would let me learn about the beach and hopefully more about you as well. I am sure I can find something to trade for the information you provide."

"Trade for the information I provide?" Kara giggled.
Everything that Seven had said was amusing, and she wasn't quite sure how to respond, though she had to admit, she'd had some of the same questions when she'd first come to earth.
Everything was so new, Supergirl had spent the majority of her time convinced that nail polish was used for the same purpose as lipstick. Everyone had failed to mention that it was toxic. Kara couldn't help but wonder if Seven was the same way. Not to say that he was incorrectly applying make-up, but maybe he didn't quite understand earth either. How much about this place had he learned so far? "The beach isn't girls-only, and it's definitely not Kryptonian-only." Kara grinned at the thought of such things, it was quite entertaining. "I'd love to teach you about the beach, and you're very 'qualified' to go." She again laughed lightly. "If you want to come, then, by all means, you can." She gestured to the exit of the training area. Supergirl was indeed excited about the trip. She couldn't wait to teach someone something about the world, just as Superman had taught her. Earth was a beautiful place, and she finally had someone to share her favorite part of it with, even if it was for only a day.

"Information is traded, that is how friends work." Seven said with surety "People tell you things, you tell them things in return. When the level of information shared is similar in intimacy and amount, you are friends." The clone looked thoughtful as he tried to think of better ways to explain what he meant "You share secrets, they share secrets. It is how you know you can trust them. At first it is not secrets that are shared, little things like favourite food and drink. The trading becomes more personal as time and compatibility increases."
He picked up his leather jacket and slid it on with a practised easy motion, everything Seven did seemed easy, he was extremely comfortable in his own skin and also in utter control of his body, well almost all the time. There were moments when emotions got the better of him, definitely around certain people and things reacted on their own but all the other times he was in total control.
"I would like to go to the beach with you, I have heard about it but never seen it in person. Just on TV. I have seen the ocean though, I like it." He gave what he hoped was a friendly smile. "What sort of things will we require for our trip?"
He watched her now so that he could give her the full of his attention, also so that he wouldn't miss anything she might say or need him to procure. He didn't have too focus so much but he found that people reacted better when he paid attention to them instead of doing lots of things at once. Humans didn't seem to be able to multi-task the same way Seven could. He was never sure if it bothered them or not but he had the feeling they might think he was showing off.
