[/b][/i] Seven had said though it was evident enough for M'gann that the lack of control that tinged his tone and words which hinted to a trace of hurt. Emotions still flickered all around him; disappointment, frustration, pain and hurt. Part of M'gann felt bad for being so hard on him but at the same time he had to learn there were other methods of dealing with people like that and excessive violence wasn't the answer. Then again what she felt coming from him that moment with the Captain was so potent so strong, could it really be something he could control? And if not what needed to be done? He can't just be left to roam around on his own, with no guidance. In the wrong hands, with the wrong influence he could become...well M'gann didn't want to think about what he could become and really there wasn't any time as she sensed more coming. M'gann had then set the ground rules for engagement from here on in, in words that she hoped he would understand but what came was a cold robotic demeanor on his part and his new demeanor, his distance was unsettling. "I am sorry for that. You don't understand. Be thankful for that." Seven had said but she already felt those barriers of his coming up; cold detachment. "I understand..." M'gann confessed, "..more than you realize." She felt his rage and his pain had a glimpse of it and were they not in this situation, maybe if things were different she would have told him. She'd once been that 'lab rat' experimented on and dissected only to heal up and the process to start again another time. She knew what it was like but also knew there were other avenues for that hatred and rage. But how does she even start that conversation without revealing to him what she really was? Yeah no that was gonna stay on the DL and he'd just have to think her a judgemental cheerleader. "I am sorry you have become involved in this. You owe me nothing. The Captain is dangerous. We need to keep moving. Wounds are manageable." "Don't be, I owe you my life and I --" she started and was about to finish off her sentence when the men from downstairs surfaced and next thing M'gann knew she was scooped up by Seven almost casually. "Seven?..." she gasped in question, her eyes wide with surprise and her face close enough that her words were a breath against his neck when he took her in and instinctively her arms wrapped about him; prepared for the leap he was about to take and with a few steps back he dashed forward and jumped towards the next building but he was injured, still bleeding out and he had expended a fair bit of his energy in his rage filled punches that he lacked the strength to push off enough to make a clear jump. They weren't going to make it, M'gann had thought and next thing she knew she was tossed up onto the roof with as much gentleness as he could manage as Seven himself dropped short of the edge. "SEVEN NO!!" M'gann called out instinctively turning to reach for him as he dropped from view. She tried to pull at him telekinetically but by the time she turned to face him, he had already dropped down the ledge so that all she could do with her ability was lessen his fall and direct him to a safer landing. M'gann managed to direct his falling body towards a fire escape. With a sigh of momentary relief M'gann leaped over the edge and onto the fire escape Seven was on. "Save my life once and you have go and try to make it two." she said to him as she knelt at his side. "I told you I could...Hey, hey don't fade out on me." she said noticing the look on his face. "I am defective.." Seven voice was slurred, slow. What was happening to him, was it blood loss? His injuries? "Sorry M'gann. I can not keep you safe any longer." His voice dropped off at the end as his body shut down into unconsciousness. "Seven?...Seven...no no no no no you can't.." too late he fell out of consciousness. Looking across at the other side of the roof were the soldiers, the young Martian's eyes began to glow and before they could take aim with their guns they slumped back onto their rooftop in slumber. The glow faded from her eyes and looking back down at Seven, M'gann slowly lifted the young man up and being careful that no one was around to see went invisible and took the young man to the only place she thought she safely could; her apartment. "Hang in there ok?" she said to him as she shifted his weight in her grasp. "I'm taking you somewhere safe."Her apartment was small, simple but discernibly girly. Taking him to her room she set him down gently on the bed not really caring that he was bloodying it up. The room was modern but once more girly with purple, grey and white accents. Even the lighting was girly. Then again it was M'gann's place and shared it with no one so she designed and decorated it the way she liked. While most might find it excessive, the young Martian thought it was just right. [/div][/ul][/font][/div] Looking down at the unconscious clone that had somehow entered her life in a rather strange and heavily involved way she was tempted to take a glimpse of his memories; his mind. However she remembered how much Connor loathed when she did that and she shot down that notion of 'finding out'. She'd talk to him when he woke up but right now she needed to get those bullets out. So once the clone finally came to, he would find himself in a strangely girly room, alone on a bed surrounded by purple and white things. The window would show a night time scene of city lights and traffic. His wounds bandaged and the bullets removed. His bloody shirt gone and at the foot of the bed draped over a purple and white bench was a simple black men's t-shirt and humming coming from outside the room with the scent of something cooking in another room. tag VII word count 1,000 notes PM me if edits needed lyrics Dance with the Devil by Breaking Benjamin credit Rae of Sunshine! of Caution 2.0 made this temp!

To say he dreamed was not exactly accurate, dreams are after all the human mind processing and dealing with events that have happened. For Seven, his dreams were like re-runs. Events repeated over and over as the data was mined out of them, mistakes were corrected for future circumstances. That was normal, this time however his mind was doing something strange. It might have been the sedative or it might just have been the stress of almost being captured but this time his mind dreamt.
He was in a glass tube, this was his pod, it was were his memories started. Floating in the liquid he could see the technicians moving about as they helped the doctors and scientists monitor the clones vitals. Seven could feel the cold glass on his skin as he moved his hands across it. The peoples faces were wrong though, they had no face. Eyes, nose, mouth were all empty. Just a blank empty mask on all of them as they went about their work. Seven thrashed in the pod, he didn't like this. Certainly didn't like how it felt. Pounding now on the glass to escaped one of the people came to look at him. The face shifted and suddenly Katt was looking at him, that same soft sad smile as she watched him. It was like she pitied him but she wasn't helping him get out. She was just watching him. Seven really didn't like this at all. Thumping harder on the glass, it was starting to give way. The Captain was standing in the background, a gun in his hand holding it against another faceless human and then it changed, the smiling face of M'gann beamed at Seven and just as his eyes met hers the gun went off.
Seven sat up, his breathing a little faster than normal. Looking about in confusion, slightly surprised that he wasn't in the pod still but instead was in a room that he had never seen before. Rolling his shoulders and checking the bandages Seven was satisfied that wherever he was they had taken care of his injuries correctly. Shifting to the edge of the bed he got to his feet and waited a few moments to listen. Someone was making an odd noise, from the pitch and tone he guessed it was M'gann, the smell hit him next and caused him to salivate a little. It seemed whatever the Captain had injected him with had caused Seven to burn though energy faster than was expected. That and the injuries had left him feeling rather hungry.
Padding softly to the door, ignoring the clothing as he didn't deem it needed, Seven opened it a crack to get a look around. Once he was sure it was clear and safe he opened it fully and stepped out to get a better look. The home seemed decorated in a similar fashion, delicate was a word that sprung to mind for the clone. Yet, he could see how it would be hers. From his profile of her it would seemed that she was helpful and kind. This certainly seemed like the home of a person like that. Stepping further in until he reached the kitchen Seven stopped and watched the female. Again he was drawn to how she moved, the general shape of her form. The hungry feeling in his stomach shifted and that odd feeling came back again. Feeling a little awkward Seven shifted his feet and directed his attention to something else. She had got them both away from Cadmus, without any major injury to herself and not just that but she had also got him out as well. She must be more than she appeared, more than a mimic at least. Aware that he was now just standing staring at her as he tried to work out what it was Seven decided to make his presence known. "Hey." It was a casual greeting he had heard many times, considering the stressful event that had just happened it seemed best to shift to a more casual tone. "Thank you for treating my injuries and for getting me away from Cadmus. The Captain injected me with something and I could no longer function correctly. I am sorry for the burden." His mind raced to find something else, something to help establish what he was trying to say. When it found it, Seven tried something new. He smilled. Expressions were not something he had bothered with when not mimicking someone else, but he knew that they carried weight in conversation and now seemed like a good time to use them. Besides, smiling at the girl was a rather easy thing to do it seemed. He felt like he should say something else but before he could figure out what that was his stomach grumbled at the smell of the food. Looking down at his stomach as if it had just committed a cardinal sin "I am sorry for that sound, I did not mean to make it. Between the sedative and my wounds it seems I am low on energy." Tilting his head a little he smiled again "Though it seems you knew this already."

[/i] It was a peaceful sounding song with lyrical melodies and stripped down instrumentals, even the male voice was tranquil adding to the ambiance of her simple little kitchen as she lost herself in her cooking and the song. Seven was resting soundly in her room M'gann having left him there after removing the bullets and tending his wounds. The day was a bit intense and confusing for her. She hadn't exactly brought anyone to her place before, quite literally Seven was the first to see the place. M'gann had just acquired it when school started this semester, so it was strange to bring someone home especially someone she didn't even really know and who had Cadmus after him. Part of her knew it wasn't really a smart move as it potentially endangered the people in this building if Cadmus came here but then again M'gann was careful not to be followed so the odds of knowing his location here would be low right? M'gann tried to push away the conspiratory thoughts about Seven having a tracking device on him... ~Stop it M'gann you had no choice but bring him here...couldn't exactly leave him to bleed out.~ she reasoned. His presence and Cadmus stirred memories and things she really didn't want to think about so cooking was like therapy to her. That and when Seven got up she knew he'd be hungry so with a sigh M'gann brushed a bit of the hair away from her face and continued cooking and singing along to the music. She needed to relax, it was going to be ok. She told herself even as she hummed and stirred the pot of sweet potato bisque. There was also a roast in the oven, some vegetables grilling as well. The food was near ready and the mixture of aromas was starting to make even M'gann hungry. So engrossed in her own thoughts, her cooking and the music the young Martian failed to notice the clone had woken and so was a bit surprised to hear his voice in greeting. "Hey." Seven said in a casual way, M'gann turning to greet him with a warm smile of her own only for her voice to catch slightly at the sight of shirtless Seven. Did he not notice the shirt at the foot of the bed for him? "He-y...Don't you just love Coheed and Cambria?" M'gann said feeling the rush of heat to her cheeks as she stammered out a save. "Sorry you startled me." she said trying to salvage some of her composure. Seriously Cadmus could not make Golem looking super-soldiers they had to make them look like...'That'? This was not going to help if they were going to eat dinner across the table from one another. "I made us dinner." she said busying herself in the kitchen getting the meal ready. "Thank you for treating my injuries and for getting me away from Cadmus. The Captain injected me with something and I could no longer function correctly. I am sorry for the burden."
" You're not a burden and it's the least I could do, after all those bullets were meant for me so I really should be thanking you." she looked up and met his eyes. "I know what you did back there in the stairwell...thank you." she offered him a small smile as she took the roast out and placed it onto a serving platter garnishing it with the vegetables and getting the rest of the meal ready for consumption. M'gann looked up at Seven again, noting that he was now smiling at her and she couldn't help but smile back at him and lightly chuckling. "How're you feeling? Lemme have a look at them." M'gann asked instinctively walking over to the man to briefly inspect his wounds. Though it hadn't been long since she'd dressed it she still wanted to make sure she did it right and he was ok. "I'm going to have to change the dressings again soon...maybe after dinner." she noted as the gauze and bandages were soiled with blood, however it wasn't as much as it should be so M'gann figured he must heal fairly quickly. Her fingers deftly pulled at the bandages to peer at his injuries, her fingers cool to the touch were incredibly delicate and careful when they rested on his skin as she tried not to apply too much pressure; she just needed to see it was healing up alright. "You're a fast healer though." she noted. He was such an anomaly she really didn't know what to make of him. Most times she looked at him there was a great sense of innocence about him and then other times like on the rooftop he was something else entirely; something frighteningly dangerous. But thoughts of the rooftop incident banished at the look on Seven's face when his stomach growled, as if it had just committed a cardinal sin against his will and should not be blamed. " I am sorry for that sound, I did not mean to make it..." he said sounding rather selfconscious. M'gann chuckled at the cuteness of his reaction. "No, no, it's fine and I take it as a compliment. It means you like my cooking or at least the smell of it." "...Between the sedative and my wounds it seems I am low on energy." Tilting his head a little he smiled again M'gann couldn't help but notice it was a nice one and then came the flush of cheeks for the fact of noticing. Why did Cadmus have to make him look like Damon Salvatore...why Cadmus Why?! "Though it seems you knew this already."" I kinda figured yeah." A small smile creased her lips. "Okay so dinner is pretty much ready so uhm...how bout you go and put a shirt on while I set the table fore us." M'gann smiled helpfully, finally coming up with a good excuse to politely tell him to don a shirt. As much as she didn't mind the view it was killer on her resolve. Looking back at the room he had come from, the one that held the shirt she made reference too, the clone nodded softly. He wasn't cold or in need of the garment but she seemed to think it needed. Shifting his feet he began to walk back to the bedroom, his mind rushing though what had just happened. M'gann had shifted body language again, no outside stimuli though. Just him. Something about him was making her act that way. Deciding to put that train of inquiry to the side Seven's mind picked up a thread of thought that had been with him for a long time. Music.
The Martian had directed his attention to it, sure he had heard it before but it was always background noise. No one really seemed to bother with it. Yet she had. In fact she wanted him to notice it unlike everyone else. With his attention now focused on the various musical tunes he had heard in his time away from the lab.
It didn't take long for him to work out that there was a scale pattern, the notes moved up and down in pitch and tone. Different instruments sounded different but the actual notes were the same. Seven proceeded to number them. With a numerical pattern established he began to file each tune by its set of numbers. Since he didn't have a name for the instruments the clone decided to leave that for later.
By now he was back in the bedroom with his hands on the shirt, fingers taking in the material and then it struck him. She had a male garment. Why would she require clothing for someone like him? The more pressing matter was why it bothered him to think she might have another male around. Whoever this girl was, she was doing something to his state of mind and being. Perhaps contacting Katt was needed once he was away and safe again.
It crossed his mind that this was a Cadmus trap, send in bait and trap him in a place he would consider safe. As he pulled the t-shirt over his head, Seven stood in the door frame and watched the young female. She didn't seem capable of working for Cadmus, she just seemed too nice a person. Yet, Seven knew that just because you looked one way didn't mean internally you were something else. He was proof of that.
Still, Seven knew he had to trust people. Like Katt had done he mused. Without help he was never going to improve, certainly never find ways to fit in. Would never figure out this weird sensation that kept popping up when she shifted body language. The clone had determined that he wasn't against the sensation, just that it was confusing and required further information.
Taking the steps back to where she was setting up Seven pushed the thoughts back to a place they could be worked on without him thinking about them, between the training that made him paranoid and the confusion emotions, he wanted to be more aware of the situation than anything else.
"I found your males shirt. I hope he will not mind that I am using it." He was a little confused why that was the first thing he said, it was a question that would only clarify she had another male around. Why that data was needed was beyond him currently.
"Thank you for bringing music to my attention, I have found the patterns to be very interesting." The clone paused as he considered his next few words, finding a concept that was alien to him but at the same time very true."I like them, it makes sense once you listen properly. I am also glad that communication seems to have improved. M'gann has helped a lot." It was true now that Seven considered it, in the time he had spent with her his speech had come on leaps and bounds. Her way of talking was clear, used words he knew but in ways that normal people used them. With a bit of time Seven surmised that his speech would be almost the same as everyone elses. Then he could learn to read properly and after that he could read the books that people kept telling him would aid him.
As she had stated previously Seven realised he was making a social mistake "Can I help you with anything?" Seven added with his new found smile.

[/b][/i] "It's an old 'friend's' ..." M'gann replied with an indiscernible emotion behind her eyes. Turning back her attention to the table cloth she was draping, she pulled at the edges maybe a bit too much as if trying to make sure it draped perfectly. She wasn't hurt by the actual words so much as she felt a bit...guilty? Was that what this was? M'gann didn't really know. Or maybe it was the reminder of who's shirt it was. It was confusing but she didn't have anything else but Connor's old shirt that would fit Seven. She had tried to return it once to Connor during their break up back then but that didn't go so well so she ended up with it still in her possession, though why she still hung on to it she really didn't know for sure. She hadn't even thought of the thing or even looked at it in so long; tucked away in her box of keepsakes. Maybe it was just the memories. The Martian was the sentimental type and tended to keep everything that held a memory for her, like the receipts to her first shopping trip with Zatanna, the stubs to the first amusement park Artemis took her too or the tickets to a movie she'd gone with the team on. There was every card, photo and letter from high school. Even those little red origami folding paper fortune things Wendy and her used to make predicting which celebrity they would marry. She even had her old BubbleBee cheerleading outfit in that box, not to mention the copious amounts of scrapbooks she had in her room with all the various events of her and the Team's. It wasn't just Wally and Gar that kept momentos or 'souvenirs'. M'gann cherished the memories of all her friends. Maybe that's why she held on to the shirt; memories. Either way it came in handy now. " I don't think he would've minded though, it's being put to good use." she looked up again having regained her composure, hooking a lock of stray red hair around her ear she offered a small smile. "It looks good on you. I mean, it fits you well."~Oh my God...Spaz !~ M'gann thought to herself as she shook her head and went about placing the utensils on the table next. Seven spoke next about music probably to fill the gap of awkward silence and clinking utensils. " Thank you for bringing music to my attention, I have found the patterns to be very interesting." The clone paused as if considering his next few words. "I like them, it makes sense once you listen properly. I am also glad that communication seems to have improved. M'gann has helped a lot." M'gann looked up once more eyes alight and suddenly brighter and seemed glad for the change in topics and not only that she enjoyed discussions on music and was happy that she was able to help him out in some way. It really couldn't be easy diving into an entirely new world on your own. She remembered when she first ended up outside of the Checkmate labs after so many years of captivity and experimentation how overwhelming and frightening the outside world seemed until she got help. "I'm glad I could help. " She said with a smile and idea crossing her mind since he said he liked music. M'gann moved away from the table a moment and walked the few short steps into what was probably the living room. It was a small apartment so everything was within a few feet of one another. Laying against a stand was a purple acoustic guitar. She picked it up and brought it over to him. " It's a guitar, an instrument used to play said music...like this." she said as she slid the strap over her and started to play the same simple plucked melody that she was singing along to earlier. Her smile grew wider as she checked for his reaction. "You wanna try it?" she asked urging him to just strum the strings to get a feel for it if he wanted. "Music is actually a very powerful thing." M'gann explained as she continued to play. "It elicits emotions in hu- um in us. Moves us to dance or sing or cry, even motivate us. I was reading that there are certain chords that are most pleasing to hear and if played in the precise order and combination of sound even makes us want to download the song, or sing it all day. It's called being 'catchy'." M'gann chuckled changing the pretty plucking tones to discordant and creepy chord progression "It's even used in movies to add to emotional effect in scenes like creepiness or suspense..." she returned to the pretty melodic plucking again. "...It really is quite remarkable if you think about it. A few plucks of a guitar string or strum of the chords and you're feeling what that person is playing. You're right there with them...It's amazing really."M'gann stopped then suddenly realizing that she went out on a tangent. He was hungry and here she was stopping to talk about music. She chuckled at her misstep. "Sorry, sometimes I get excited about something and get carried away. You're hungry right?" she slipped out of the guitar strap and put the instrument aside. "Maybe after dinner we can play around with music, I have a ton of songs on my iPod you can listen to, find your favorite genre or something...but yeah, food right?" she chuckled. "Can I help you with anything?" Seven added with a smile. "Sure!" M'gann smiled back, brighter. "You can set up the rest of the table...soup spoon, fork and knife here, here and here. Plate there, napkin here and glass set there." she said instructing him on the setting just in case he wasn't familiar with table settings. It would be good for him to know these common things anyways and M'gann wasn't sure exactly how much 'mundane' life training Cadmus gave him. But she doubted it was about the etiquette of table setting. "You do that side I'll do this side and after you can help me bring the food to the table." she beamed she hadn't had a proper sit down dinner with company since her uncle back in Chicago and she was looking forward to a sit down meal and casual conversations. Or well as casual a conversation as one gets talking to an escaped Cadmus clone. So off she went helping him set the table the young Martian humming her song as she worked. Once the table was sent and the food placed with Seven's help, M'gann signalled for the clone to sit at the place setting he had set up and she took the seat opposite him. "Bet Cadmus meals aren't this fancy. Hope you like it." she said casting him a hopeful smile as she motioned for him to try a bite. M'gann waited a moment allowing Seven to eat and have a few bites before starting in with conversation but there was something she was meaning to get out since the rooftop incident. "Uhm...I'm sorry for being so hard on you up on the roof earlier." she apologized. "I really don't have a right to give you orders. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. You're not a soldier, or a machine to program parameters; you're a person and I'm sorry for not treating you like that earlier."[/div][/ul][/font][/div] tag VII word count 1,000ish notes PM me if edits are required lyrics Dance with the Devil by Breaking Benjamin credit Rae of Sunshine! of Caution 2.0 made this temp!

To say his mind was blown was perhaps an understatement but it was definitely close. As he watched her fingers move across the strings, heard how the string vibration changed and shifted to produce different sounds. The clone was captivated completely. He understood that the string tension would create a tone but he had never considered the concept that it would sound so...beautiful. Music to most people is simple, we hear it and we enjoy it. For Seven it was a matter of numbers and science creating something his mind couldn't quite grasp. Everyone else would call it art. The girl was speaking a lot now, her pace quicker and Seven did his best to understand all the words she used but there was still some gaps, though he was sure he picked up the gist of it. Music was something she enjoyed a lot, that much was clear from the tone, and she saw it as a powerful weapon that could effect peoples emotions. No, not a weapon. Something else. What that something else he wasn't sure he had the word for yet, perhaps a tool or utility?
When he asked if she needed help, it wasn't to stop what she was teaching but more awareness that food expired in heat and or burned. He was glad that she let him though, as much as he lacked in knowledge Seven could follow instruction well. When Seven had offered to help others before they tended to just wave him off as some sort of hindrance and so he set about following her instruction. There was something calm and peaceful about this whole thing he pondered in the quietness as they set the table and put the food out. Which just made him wonder how long it lasts. Sitting with the food in front of him finally M'gann motioned for him to take some first, it bothered him that the first thought he had was she must have drugged it. That made no sense however, he had been inactive and she had taken care of him. If she had wanted to return him to Cadmus she could have done that way before now. Taking a forkful of food Seven chewed and swallowed before moving to take another, the food was amazing. This was far better than anything he had scavenged or bought from street vendors.
Bet Cadmus meals aren't this fancy. Hope you like it.
It was as if she had read his mind, Seven looked at the girl and smiled again "Cadmus rations are..." he paused again as he searched for a word "fit for purpose. This sustenance is far superior in every factor." He managed to take a few more forks worth of food before she spoke again, this time it created a strange response inside him.
Uhm...I'm sorry for being so hard on you up on the roof earlier." she apologized. "I really don't have a right to give you orders. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. You're not a soldier, or a machine to program parameters; you're a person and I'm sorry for not treating you like that earlier."
Seven wasn't sure what the emotion was that bringing up the incident with the captain invoked, he was glad that he had put the Captain down. After all being caught was a danger to himself and others, certainly Katt at the least. It wasn't difficult for him to see the chain of events that would spiral out of control if Seven was captured. First him, then Katt and then her allies as each of them was forced to give up information. Yet, part of him still felt something else. Awkward perhaps at the sheer rage that one person had invoked in him. No, it wasn't that at all. It was the lack of control over himself he realised. Seven was always in control, of his own mind and body. Usually. That had been lost completely for a moment and someone else had saw it. The person who was sitting across from him as they ate food. The situation suddenly seemed rather surreal.
"M'gann..You were correct. I should maintain control at all times. My response was not justified by new mission objectives. I am not what they made me to be any more." He was trying to express that he was trying to change but couldn't find the words to use. "I am sorry that you saw me like that." Was that the right expression he wondered, something about her seeing him as a weapon bothered him. She seemed so peaceful, fragile even at times compared to what he was used too. Yet, she clearly had some sort of power. When he started thinking on that, all the things she had done and said, she had stated she understood his past and the little times she mentioned humans. Seven decided he needed more data before he reached a conclusion but he was starting to think she was more than she appeared. "I am a soldier and a machine to be programmed. That is what I was created to do. I will be more, a person, eventually. Perhaps we should not consider what we actually are and focus on what is now?" Seven took a small drink, something he had learned from Katt, you took a drink when you wanted to pause and let what you said sink in. "This" He motioned to the apartment before gesturing towards M'gann "You. It helps me ignore what I know is outside waiting. I would like to experience this longer without thinking about what I am, what you are. Is that something that is possible?" Just like that he shunted any more thoughts on working out just why the girl in front of him wasn't human, why should he try and work out that sort of thing when he didn't want her to treat him any differently? Didn't seem fair at all.

[/i]Seven paused again as he seemed to searched for a word " fit for purpose. This sustenance is far superior in every factor." He managed to take a few more forks worth of food. M'gann chuckled at his phrasing; it was so cute the way he told her he liked her cooking. "Well mission accomplished then." she beamed from his compliment. "I'm glad you are enjoying the meal."Then M'gann had apologized for her behavior earlier causing Seven to explain that he felt her actions justified by his very own lack of control, however M'gann was not so convinced and found the clone much more forgiving. There were better ways she could have phrased it or said it, but at that time she was caught between surprise at the brutality and the urgency of their situation. Seven had rationalized her actions but it didn't make M'gann feel any better for having treated him less than 'human'. He might be a clone but he wasn't something to be ordered around. She had the feeling from watching how well he followed her instructions earlier, that Seven probably followed orders all his life and her ordering him like some kind of superior officer didn't make her feel any better. He deserved better than that and she should have acted better. She will act better. "I am sorry that you saw me like that." Seven apologized. "Well I guess we're both sorry for acting in ways we're not proud of." M'gann offered a small smile as she pushed at her food. "... Perhaps we should not consider what we actually are and focus on what is now?"
M'gann sat and pondered on Seven's words and she could not believe sometimes the wisdom that came out of him. Some moments he seemed almost childlike, awkward and stumbling, other times like now seemed more profound. He was certainly an interesting paradox. "This" He motioned to the apartment before gesturing towards M'gann "You. It helps me ignore what I know is outside waiting. I would like to experience this longer without thinking about what I am, what you are. Is that something that is possible?" ~What 'you' are...~ his words echoed in her head. He knew there was something about her that was off, beyond her the abilities he's seen so far and that in some ways made her uncomfortable. Maybe she shouldn't have taken him back here. He was smart and perceptive he was bound to figure it out and that bit of reality made her nervous. Then again he all but said he didn't want to think about it. It was just going be them, in this place without the looming reality of what lay just outside those doors; life and all its complications. For now it seemed he didn't want to think about that stuff; forget for a bit who they were and where they came from and just live in the 'now' in this space. He seemed to need it; to forget and if she was honest with herself, sometimes she wanted to forget too. Yeah ok, so here and now, it is; she could deal with that. "I think we can manage it." M'gann replied with a nod. "Anything in particular you want to do?" "I think we can manage it." M'gann replied with a nod. "Anything in particular you want to do?"
The most loaded question that anyone could probably ask Seven. Any other hormone fuelled male sitting across from a female would have taken that question and come up with tons of answers ranging from flirty to down right sleazy but Seven, perhaps thankfully, didn't know to think of any of them. Instead he began to think of what would benefit him best in this situation.
Music was a definite option, he really wanted to learn more from her and try out what he had seen her do with the stringed tool of sound creation. He was sure that with a bit of time he could duplicate what she had done and expand on it, experiment with how it worked and sounded. It still drew a portion of his thoughts to the object. Yet, it didn't seem the most constructive use of his time. "I want to learn everything. Time is a factor. It is limited and you must have other things to do. Could it be possible that we can do many things over many times?"
Spending time with the young female seemed to be highly productive, it was helping him accumulate faster than his previous contact with people. M'gann was considerate and definitely didn't seem to mind how he was other than that one outburst of violence. Though the clone would have understood if she refused, after all he carried all sorts of issues just by proximity.
His eyes shifted away from her, which he noted had been on the girl the whole time he wasn't eating, to around the room. Taking note of everything tiny detail until his eyes fell onto two things. There was a device to connect to the internet and another that had the moving pictures similar to what he had seen at Katt's domicile. Both would aid in learning and with M'gann to help him perhaps they would be more productive. There was books too, perhaps she could help him work out the scribbles that didn't match words he was familiar with. So many options and yet not enough time to pursue them all.
Katt had told him that television was perhaps the most use in helping him fit in. Conversation was something he was still having difficulty with. It seemed that TV was his best bet for now. Now he just had to ask without mentioning anyone else. Deceit in this manner was not his forte. "I have had previous contact, she suggested television would be best for learning. Is that something we are able to do? Please do not inquire about previous contact. It is to remain classified. M'gann will stay classified if required." He couldn't talk to her about Katt, and wanted to see if M'gann was something he should be discussing with other people. It struck him that having multiple contacts all unable to know about the others would hinder his learning but perhaps that was the price he would have to pay. "Outside doesn't exist." He added with a smile. "Can television aid in my accumulation of knowledge, help me fit in better?" Truthfully Seven had doubts, not that he didn't believe Katt, just that he was unsure how the box and visuals of people would help the clone soldier gain any real knowledge, though his exposure was only a few minutes previously. "I want to learn music. Seven needs to learn everything." He stopped talking for a moment before starting again "I want to learn everything I am able. Considering myself as non-unit is difficult."

[/i] Everything? That task would be daunting. Yeah, that was her bad for asking too broad a question as Seven answered her question of what he wanted to do with the all encompassing word 'Everything' and really should she have expected any less? After all she was pretty much like that and well still was. Human behaviour is a broad and expansive thing and as such to adapt and understand you kind of did have to know a bit about well everything or as much of everything as any one person ever could. "... Time is a factor. It is limited and you must have other things to do. Could it be possible that we can do many things over many times?"
M'gann was in mid chew and swallow when he made his request about possibly doing things over many times. She coughed to clear her throat a little surprised at his request and also his phrasing of said request. It was seriously too cute. She smiled chuckling lightly when she managed to clear her throat. "It's definitely possible to do that. I can give you my cell number if you want to contact me whenever it is you want to learn or experience something different or new. It's a daunting and confusing world out there, not gonna lie." M'gann said. "But yeah, anytime you can call or drop by and I'll help as best I can."
M'gann watched as Seven surveyed the scene as though taking inventory of her apartment, however she knew that he wasn't looking to steal her things. "It's not much." she said of her small apartment. "But its home. I've got internet and cable though if you want to surf the net or watch TV. I've even got some DVDs my favorite movies and tv shows.' Hello Megan' was one show I used to watch when I was growing up. That sitcom was great and fun to watch because Megan was able to solve all her problems in 22 minutes. I used to wish I was her." she had said suddenly gone on another tangent once more and had to reign herself in. "Uhm yeah sorry. I got carried away again." she offered a sheepish smile. "Anyways, I've got a television if you want to watch anything." "I have had previous contact, she suggested television would be best for learning. Is that something we are able to do? Please do not inquire about previous contact. It is to remain classified. M'gann will stay classified if required." "Uhm...ok. I won't ask." M'gann said not exactly sure what that was all about and why she couldn't ask about the other girl. She actually wasn't even curious when he first mentioned a 'she', thinking it was a friend of his but then he was all defensive about it. Why didn't he want her to be known? Or well why is he going to great lengths to not talk about her and shut M'gann down before she even thought to ask? And why was she all of a sudden feeling all weird about this? Truthfully she never thought to ask or think about it when he mentioned a 'she', not until he said not to; funny how that worked. But now it just seemed odd that she couldn't ask about her. Was it a girlfriend he was hiding? If so was it because she wouldn't approve of him being here or even coming here more than once as he was asking to earlier. Really M'gann didn't want to get involved with that kind of drama. She was trying to avoid relationship complications and that included getting in the middle of someone else's relationship. "You don't need to keep me...classified. Friends are not ashamed of one another, nor do they hide their friendship and if we are going to be friends you can't hide that fact of me and I think you should make sure your girlfriend knows about me and is ok with you coming around here to learn because I do not want some jealous crazy girl coming to my door angry that you're here." M'gann started and uncertain why all of a sudden she was feeling a little irked. "And why isn't she teaching you these things then?" "Outside doesn't exist." "Right. I agreed to that didn't I." she conceded. They did agree that for today the outside world didn't exist; though it would have been helpful if he had clarified the fact that he had a girlfriend because then the whole 'the outside world doesn't exist' thing would have been off the table. It does exist particularly when one has a girlfriend. "Ok, so what do you want to know." she asked starting their path on the learning. She had suddenly lost her appetite at the revelation of classified people. " Can television aid in my accumulation of knowledge, help me fit in better?" Seven asked. "It can, there are a lot of educational shows on various topics ranging from history to geography and current global events. There are even television shows that give you an idea of the social aspects of interacting with people. Hello Megan was my favorite growing up but there are tons more afterwards like Dawson's Creek, Party of Five, My So Called Life, The OC, One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars...though you shouldn't really go by those. It would give you the wrong impression of girls and relationships and I don't want you going back to your girlfriend learning anything from that. Though my fave show right now is Gossip Girl. But yes, television can definitely help you fit in better. It did for me." M'gann smiled. "I want to learn music. Seven needs to learn everything." M'gann chuckled. "And you will, you just need to give it time. I can teach you about music if you like, even the guitar though I am by no means an expert. Just maybe make sure it's ok with your girlfriend to come by here and learn ok?"
"I want to learn everything I am able. Considering myself as non-unit is difficult."M'gann smiled in understanding. "Well the first thing you need to stop referring yourself in the third person and not call yourself a Unit and well maybe find another name other than Seven." she suggested. "A more common name like Steven which is close in spelling to your real name, just add a 't'. Or maybe 'Stefan'? It sounds close to Seven...well they are just suggestions anyways." Something had changed and it had done so rather quickly. A speedy review of the last few minutes didn't really tell him much. A new word had appeared though, that was perhaps the source of this shift in her tone and attitude towards him. "Girlfriend." Seven said the word for the first time as if pondering the meaning. "Girl is a female, friend is an ally. Contact is both. M'gann is both. Contact is family. M'gann is not." He refused to say Katt's name, he was fine telling M'gann about his connection to Cadmus but he was not going to mention anything that might get Katt in danger. Yet it seemed keeping Katt classified was causing an issue. How did he explain that to the girl in front of him without saying exactly that?
"I am unable to express correctly. I am sorry. No crazy girl will come here. Contact is hunted also. Classified keeps her safe. Until it is cleared I can not speak of her more than this." Was that the right set of words? Seven hoped so at least. Perhaps changing the subject would be advisable, yet even that would be difficult. Her choice of words stood out to him, how she wanted to be someone else and how television had helped her fit in. Seven wanted to ask about that, a lot. Yet he had agreed that all of that would be another time.
"Problem solving in twenty two minutes seems excessive. Why did it take Megan so long to find solutions? Why would M'gann wish to duplicate slow thinking processes?" His query was genuine, he had no idea the sort of problems the Martian meant but for Seven a problem was logic based and at the speed his brain processed at the thought of anyone taking anything longer than a few seconds was mind boggling.
There was something else that crept into his thoughts, another set of words she had used that seemed to cause her to shift in tone. "M'gann says it will give I.." Seven stopped to correct himself "me the wrong idea of relationships and does not what me to go back to contact with the wrong idea of girls. What is the correct idea if that is going to be wrong? If it is wrong, why does it exist?" Again, the idea of deception outside of a mission was baffling to Seven, lies and subterfuge were tools to achieve things. Was that it? Was the wrong idea to be used to gain something from females? if so, why didn't the females counter the televisions lies to give the truth? Why hadn't Katt warned him about the lying visuals? Something to be taken up with her next time he saw the other clone.
M'gann was not the first person to mention a name other than Seven to him, yet Seven was Seven. How could he be named something else if that was what he was? Was M'gann something else other than M'gann? Another thought he pushed away due to his earlier agreement. It was proving tricker than he originally thought to keep what she was out of his mind. "Does M'gann dislike the concept of.."another pause as he wrapped his mind around the singular "me having the wrong idea of girls or that there is another girlfriend? You mentioned it several times, your tone shifts slightly each time, you seem to worry what that person might think of what you teach me. I am lacking in data to process this correctly."

[/i] Seven said the word for the first time as if pondering the meaning. "Girl is a female, friend is an ally. Contact is both. M'gann is both. Contact is family. M'gann is not."
It became quite evident quite quickly that M'gann had misunderstood his meaning earlier as it turned out that the 'classified' female she was not allowed to bring up was family which meant either a sister or a cousin either way it was a relief to M'gann. At least she knew then she wouldn't be overstepping things or potentially bringing down the wrath of an angry girl on her door steps. "Uhm ok first off there's a big difference between a Girl -- Friend" her lifted her right hand when she said Girl with emphasis and then the left hand when she said Friend with equal emphasis. "and a Girlfriend." she brought her splayed hands together to mesh her fingers to show the amalgamation of the word. "I am a girl and I am your friend, but I am not your 'girlfriend'." she explained. "It is subtle but there is a difference. A girlfriend..." again she made the meshing gesture to show she was talking about the compound word 'girl' and 'friend' togheter. "Is a person that you are invested in emotionally, you have deep feelings for and your relationship with them is more a romantic connection. When you are just friends with someone the connection is not the same; it doesn't run as deeply. The feeling is different and you aren't quite as 'connected'. Some people call that connection being in love. And if you have a girlfriend you will have that deep connection."
She hoped that made sense to him. It probably didn't but it was the best she could do. Then Seven tried to put m'gann's mind at east over her previous idea of a crazed girlfriend coming after her for him being here and spending time. Apparently it was not going to be the case which was a relief. "I am unable to express correctly. I am sorry. No crazy girl will come here. Contact is hunted also. Classified keeps her safe. Until it is cleared I can not speak of her more than this." Seven said. M'gann raised a hand as if to say he didn't need to say more. "I understand. You don't want to risk your family's safety by saying to much. Ok I can respect that. I won't mention this again. Except to say that if she too needs help, she's welcome here. I can help you both. It's just a suggestion. Let her know, I can try to help her too."
Then talk moved on to television and M'gann talked about her fave shows and how perhaps Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl would not be the best thing for him to watch due to the strangeness in some of the relationships not to mention a show about how a group of teenage girls brought together by the death of their friend is being cyber bullied and threatened to disclose their darkest secrets with some pretty heavy deaths and killings all with the back drop of these girls having relationships and sometimes switching partners...yeah definitely not a good show to delve into as normal teen behavior. While the teen drama-thriller things was fun to watch M'gann just wasn't sure Seven could handle the intricacies of goings on and man if she had to explain Alison's sociopathic Seven might just lose his mind and well M'gann did not want to be responsible for that or having to explain the convolutedness that was 'A' in that show. Yeah, Pretty Little Liars would be off the table for now until he understood better human relations. Well Pretty Little Liars and Vampire Diraries because the latter had M'gann's more recent crush on the show and she really didn't need Mr. Perceptiveness to pick up on that especially when certain scenes with said character comes on. Yeah that show also on the back burner. But there was always Hello Megan. That was pure and good old fashioned TV. "Problem solving in twenty two minutes seems excessive. Why did it take Megan so long to find solutions? Why would M'gann wish to duplicate slow thinking processes?" His query was genuine, though very cute in its myopic thought processes. M'gann chuckled "Not all problems can be solved quickly. Megan's problems weren't simple mathematical ones that could be calculated and quantified in microseconds. They were real Life problems with multiple variables with no constants other than herself. It was learning to navigate around people their motives and their feelings; make the right decisions in life. She always managed to do it and everything work out for her in 22 minutes. That is what amazed me when I was younger watching her." M'gann tried to reason. "Life can sometimes get so complicated, really complicated where there isn't a clean way out and sometimes it looks like everyone loses and yet what was amazing with Megan was that she manages to take problems like that and fix it all within the show's time frame and everyone was happy." she explained. " I wanted to be like her because she always did the right thing. People liked her a lot and she seemed to have a really nice life. Great family, great school life, great boyfriend. I thought if I could be like her my life would be perfect like hers too..that was until I grew up and realized I can't try to be someone else, I have to just be me. For better or worse."
And just when she thought she managed to navigate well enough around the Megan issue, Seven went and threw her for another loop. "M'gann says it will give I.." Seven stopped to correct himself "me the wrong idea of relationships and does not what me to go back to contact with the wrong idea of girls. What is the correct idea if that is going to be wrong? If it is wrong, why does it exist?" "A Good relationship is built on mutual respect and kindness for one another and the wrong idea is the exact opposite of that. It is destructive, cruel and hurtful." M'gann explained. "The show I was talking about earlier has a lot of different kinds of relationships, some very good and pure, others are more complicated, others still just downright bad and destructive. If you don't know the difference you may end up emulating the wrong thing and then going back to your contact and inadvertently treat her badly because of something on that show. I don't want to be responsible for giving your...uhm bad behaviors." M'gann explained. "We can watch Pretty Little Liars, eventually. But I think first you need to see what a good healthy friendships and relationships are before you go watching others so that you have a baseline to compare with. I want to make sure I teach you the right things first then you can see the wrong things and make up your own mind then. Does that make sense?"
" Does M'gann dislike the concept of....me having the wrong idea of girls or that there is another girlfriend?" "What? No!...where did you...why would you..." M'gann stammered caught a bit off guard with the last question. "Why would I dislike the concept of you having a girlfriend? Having one is a good thing. If you had one I would be happy for you." "You mentioned it several times, your tone shifts slightly each time, you seem to worry what that person might think of what you teach me. I am lacking in data to process this correctly.""Well it's just that I don't want to be the cause of any problems between you and her. I thought she was your girlfriend not your family. And sometimes girlfriends can be quite uhm...possessive? Not all but some and the way you were so evasive and wanting to keep me a secret from her I thought maybe she would not take kindly to other girls showing you things even something as simple as playing the guitar or watching tv shows. Some girlfriends are like that and that by the way is not a good thing. It causes problems sometimes and well I guess I was uncomfortable with the idea that I might be a problem. I hope I am making sense...am I making sense?"
M'gann didn't know anymore at this point she was probably confusing the hell out of him. She was talking a lot and she knew that usually lead to confusion in people at the best of times. Maybe she should have started one something easier to talk about...how exactly did it get this far? That was a lot to process, a lot of it went over his head right away but it also gave him pieces to the jigsaw that was life. Girl and friend was different from girlfriend. Similar titles but the difference in tone created a shift in meaning, one was just a female who was an ally and the other was something more than an ally. All the times that Seven had seen couples now made sense, he had understood that they were close or had a connection to each other by the body language but he had never really been able to put a label on it. That was a relationship between both parties that went above and beyond basic allies. Love wasn't a word he knew and from the way she spoke about it, it seemed extremely important.
With her description of the Hello Megan show, it helped that click into place as well. M'gann was a mimic like him, if her initial entry into the big wide world was anything like his then she would have wanted someone to emulate. So she had found someone that was in her eyes perfect. Someone whos life she wanted to have. Yet it sounded like it was something she no longer duplicated, perhaps she had found that ideal lacking in some way? Perhaps something he would have to take on board as well, as much as an idea was worth pursuing, it was not worth losing yourself to.
Listening to her description of good relationships and then bad ones, it didn't make complete sense but enough that he could piece it together. The female wanted him to understand that not all forms of learning where good for him, not knowing the right frame to put a concept against would mean he would learn something defectively and that would create issues for Seven. It was dawning on him now just how considerate she was being, kindness was an alien concept but M'gann certainly seemed to have it in spades. For her to make sure he understood what was right and wrong, instead of just telling him answers must have been consuming for her, time she could be doing other things but here she was. Teaching him and wanting to make sure it was done correctly.
When she sputtered over him asking if it bothered her Seven couldn't stop the smile from creeping onto his lips, her tone and body language was amusing in its reaction. Granted he didn't understand why she reacted that way but the general display had caused amusement. Slap stick was probably going to be hilarious to him once he got round to comedy. "I am sorry that the question was.." Seven paused again as he tried to locate a word to fit what he wanted to say "embarrassing? Just wished to clarify that M'gann was not offended or hindered by the concept that there was someone." Though now that she had reacted that way to the concept of him potentially having someone close and beyond a simple friend it caused him to connect some other things she had said together.
His attention dropped to the shirt he was wearing. This belonged to a male, one that when he had asked if they would mind she had reacted oddly too. Was this a boyfriend shirt? Should he be wearing a boyfriend shirt, if girlfriends could potentially come to harm other females then what would a male do? Males were more inclined to violence after all. Yet, she had said old. More jigsaw pieces clicked into place. She had loved someone, had a boyfriend and it had died. Whatever emotion created the connection between the pair had been taken away some how. Seven didn't really understand how an emotion could be killed but he could see how it could be twisted into something else. "M'gann had a boyfriend but no longer." Seven's eyes stayed on the shirt for a bit longer before moving back to look at her "I am sorry that occurred. He will not come to attempt to challenge Seven? I would dislike harming M'gann's friends, even old ones. I will be required to defend self if it occurs." It was an odd line of thought, the idea of a guy showing up to cause a fight because Seven was talking to someone but M'gann had been concerned that Katt would suddenly appear to cause a fight so Seven just had to assume that this was a normal occurrence for now. "Though it seems wrong to break connection with another if it means so much. Old boyfriend appears to be extremely stupid to have done so. M'gann has many positive qualities that would appear to match what you said about relationships. Does this count as outside stuff? Should we refocus on things inside the habitat?" It wasn't that he thought the line of questioning might be awkward or wrong but more that he was unsure what constituted as counting as outside the room. If his shirt was currently on Seven's torso that sort of meant the ex-boyfriend was considered inside the room to an extent.

[/i]" M'gann had a boyfriend but no longer." His voice echoed in her head over and over like a horrible rerun. She was stunned by what he just said her eyes belying not only shock but an undisclosed emotion that was held in check by sheer will and control. " W-what? I never said..." she said her voice barely a whisper it suddenly felt like the air was cut and her throat constricted. "Why would you think--"
" I am sorry that occurred. He will not come to attempt to challenge Seven? I would dislike harming M'gann's friends, even old ones. I will be required to defend self if it occurs." He said and M'gann watched as Seven's eyes stayed on the shirt for a bit longer before moving back to look at her. She had said 'old friend' not boyfriend yet somehow he was perceptive enough to have picked that up she wasn't sure how or why but the way he looked at the shirt just moments ago was like an 'ah ha' moment where he figured it all out but M'gann wished he hadn't. She didn't like thinking about that time, about him. She hadn't thought about any of that in almost a year and now it all came rolling back in, the memory, the pain. "Though it seems wrong to break connection with another if it means so much. Old boyfriend appears to be extremely stupid to have done so."
"You don't understand..." she looked away from him as if ashamed. "It was my fault. I left him no choice but to do what he did...it was all on me." " M'gann has many positive qualities that would appear to match what you said about relationships. Does this count as outside stuff? Should we refocus on things inside the habitat?" "Just finish your food." she said rising to take her plate her words though soft and polite were empty, her eyes devoid of that same vibrant life it once had. She couldn't even look at him. "Seven, you should maybe consider that perhaps I'm not the best person to teach you things after all." she said as she moved towards the kitchen mumbling something softly about getting desert ready and excused herself. What had just happened? As M'gann moved away, seemingly upset over something he had said. What was it? The old boyfriend was the only subject that had occurred. Him speaking about it had caused this. Processing her reaction was causing a strange sensation to build up in his chest. It felt like someone was gripping his insides and twisting them around and around. It was not something he was enjoying. By reflex he moved after her, his mind searching for words to say to repair what had just happened. The clone came up blank, the emotion welling up in him was causing issues in thinking. Then something he had never experienced before, the feeling that continued to grow started to have a physical effect. His eyes started to leak and his throat tightened and that made words difficult to form.
Raising his hands to brush the water that was forming away, Seven was starting to panic. He was losing control of his body, it was doing things that he couldn't stop. It hurt inside and it wouldn't switch off. No matter how many times he wiped away the leaks it continued, no matter how hard he tried to find the source of this defect there wasn't one. No, that was not true, there was a source. Her. With tear stained eyes the male moved to take her arm but stopped short his fingers just brushing the skin lightly as he withdrew sharply, last time he did that strange things had happened. He didn't want her to hurt herself again.
Then the penny dropped. He had hurt her, not with violent contact but with words. The context was lost on him, he didn't know why it had hurt her but the reaction could only be because of what he had said, memories that he had caused in her. Her reaction was causing his reaction, his body was mimicking her emotional distress. That would be the easy answer but it wasn't that, Seven took another moment to figure that out. He was genuinely upset that he had manage it, made worse by the fact that he didn't understand how.
"I am sorry. Please." Seven took a sharp intake of breath to try and get his voice under control "I want you to teach me. M'gann understands." His mind was too awash with emotional debris to find any sort of words, frantically searching memories for something to fix what was happening. Finally a memory that fit what was going on. A boyfriend trying to fix something he had done wrong "I'm an Idiot. I can accept that." The voice was not his own but that of twenty something James White who Seven had watched try to win his girl back. The conversation made no sense at that time but with his new knowledge it was starting to become a whole lot clearer.

[/i] Seven's voice softer this time almost weaker for a lack of breath? "It's not you. you didn't do anything." M'gann said. "It's me. It's all on me." "I want you to teach me. M'gann understands." "Seven I can't." she said her head turning away in shame for having been caught not only in this state but the state of the kitchen and the mess she made in the span of a few seconds. "I'm an Idiot. I can accept that." The voice was not his own but someone else's. She still couldn't look at him even with his voice just behind her, she stayed on the floor where she was. " You're not an idiot." she said softly. "A bit Bubblebee-esque with your radio voices but not an idiot." still even amongst it all she whips out the popculture references. She was good at that. When things got heavy out came the random references. She was quiet after that for what probably seemed like eons before she spoke. A stillness of silence settling in the room where all that could be heard are the still goopy ingredients dripping to the floor and the slight drip and leak of her facet mixing with the nightly traffic outside her apartment. Cars honked, tires rushed by and the noise outside muffled by the window could now be heard in and amongst the stillness inside. She didn't move for a long time til finally she spoke she broke the stale silence. "I can't...I can't be the one to teach you Seven." she said though the last part of her explanation came out a near whisper. " I ruin everything...and eventually I'll ruin it for you too...trust me Seven you don't want this."
