"I gotta stay high all the time, spend my days locked in a haze."

The shot glass hit the table with a 'thump' sound as he downed yet another ounce of liquor. Saddly for the speedster he couldn't get drunk it just wouldn't happen with his increased metabolism, but that didn't mean he wouldn't try to as soon as the drugs in his system began to ware off. It had been five hours since his last injection of Velocity 7, in another hour or so it would ware off. The alcohol helped to keep the edge off as he came down from the high.
With a 'come here' motion to the bartender he was brought another three drinks. All three shot glasses where set down before him in a neat little row. With a classic Wally West smile to the young woman he gave her a wink. Her face reddened as she went to help another fellow that was yelling for a beer at the other end of the bar. Wally simply glanced in the mans direction then back tot he three shots before him. In a shift motion that couldn't have been followed by the naked eye he down all three shots. For a split second he felt the sweet sting of the liquid then it was gone.
With all three shot glassed back in there original spots he turned his attention to the blonde beside him. She had long hair swept to the side in a braid. "Hey there, I couldn't help but notice you'r at the bottom of your glass." Wally remarked as he waved the bartender back over, "three more for me and get this lovely lady another drink." The blonde wasn't shy as she flashed Wally a shy grin, she wasn't half as sober as he was she was on her way to the edge of no return with drinking. And he plained to take full advantage of this little fact.
Okay, this hadn't gone half as well as he had hoped. Not only did the hot little blonde at the bar have a boy friend. The boy friend had friends, he hadn't minded the mindless goofs name calling but when it had come to blows they where forced to take it out back. The bartender had only looked at him sadly as he allowed the males to take him out back.
"Okay big guy, the first one was free." Wally remarked as the blondes brunt of a man curled his hand into a fist once again. Wally could still feel the spot where he had been hit. Had he deserved it? Okay maybe he had. The male just laughed at his comment, Wally shrugged his shoulders and clasped his hands behind his back. He still had time before his super juice wore out, the male laughed and struck out at the ginger.
But this time Wally didn't allow the other to hit him, no he moved to the right with all his speed. There was a grin on his face as the male stared at him wide eyed. No one seemed to know what to do, "I told you the the first one was free." Letting his hands come apart Wally straightened and struck, the blow hit the boy friend in the gut with enough force to send him flying into the bars brick wall. "Who's next?"

It couldn't be could it? M'gann thought, held by the sight unable to move for a moment as she was looking at her dead friend or well he was dead. He didn't seem so dead now, nor did he look or move like something from a Sam Raimi film circa 1980s. He was living, breathing ... "Who's next?" the boy asked his aggressors after he'd struck a man and sent him flying into the bars brick wall it happened too fast and M'gann wasn't expecting it so she didn't have a chance to stop the man from careening into the wall. "Wally?" M'gann called out in an almost uncertain voice that must have sounded meek and pathetic but she couldn't hide the surprise and sadness she felt. He was the same yet very different at the same time. She knew him and also didn't. Looking down at the man he just sent sailing into the bars of a brick wall. ~ What happened to you?~ her eyes seemed to say but she didn't ask out loud instead she spoke with the lilt of elated happiness mixed with concerned sadness as her eyes well with moisture. He died, they all mourned his death and yet... "You're alive..." she whispered. It was easy to see that despite it all she was truly happy to see him alive. [/div] [/ul] [/div] tag Inertia/Wally word count 524 notes Now you realize thanks to you I have Habits by Tove Lo stuck in my head now XDlyrics Dance with the Devil by Breaking Benjamin credit Rae of Sunshine! of Caution 2.0 made this temp!

"Wally?"
Wally's attention snapped to the female voice in the alley. It wasn't the voice of the blonde which had gotten him into this trouble, no it was someone else who sounded sad, almost scared. The men who had been ready to fight with him where looking between Wally and the new comer, "I guess the rest of you get a free pass tonight. Leave." Wally said to the men who had been looking to take quite the beating from him, but now that they had the chance they picked up there friend and made there escape. But his attention was on the girl who spoke his name.
It wasn't out of the ordinary that a girl would know him or his name. He had been around the bars enough that he had enough one night stands to make your head spin. But he didn't go for red heads most of the time, he rather liked blondes. Yet here she was looking at him as if she had just seen a ghost, just like that other male had looked at him. As if he was someone else and he wasn't supposed to be here. But he was, he had memories of always being alive, well all twenty three years. But yet these people seemed to think he wasn't here.
"You're alive..."
Wally raised a brow, the words had left her lips on a whisper. Wally looked down at himself then back to the strange girl. He seemed to be alive by every definition of the word. "Yes? At least I seem to be?" He couldn't help it as his feet carried him closer to the red headed female. The curiosity he felt was over riding every other thought, this was the second person who had acted like this. It was either someone's sick joke or there had been another him that these people had known.
"Look, I am not the guy your looking for." Even up close he had no idea who she was, even with all the nights he had on the town her face didn't come up. His green hues watched her for a moment more before he glanced down the alley the confusion read across his face. "I am Wally West but I am not the one that was your friend,"

"I guess the rest of you get a free pass tonight. Leave." Wally said to the men who had been looking to take quite the beating from him, it really wasn't a fair fight considering what Wally was capable of but that wasn't what troubled M'gann. It was the lack of remorse in what he did to the one slumped against the brick wall. It was the rage she felt earlier when he was fighting them that caused her concern. In every way he looked and sounded like Wally but in the same time he was different as well. She knew him and at the same time didn't. M'gann watched as the men Wally dismissed picked up there unconscious friend and made their hasty escape. Wally though seemed to pay the retreating men no heed as his attention seemed to be trained on M'gann after she called out his name. He looked at her as if he didn't know her, didn't recognize her.
~What happened to you?~ M'gann thought to herself not able to quite get out the words just yet, still caught between that moment of denial that it couldn't be him standing there and the naive hope that it was.
"You're alive..." she had said with all the hope and mourning that came with that truth, bound and uttered with a barely audible voice; strained whisper.
But Wally raised a brow, as if she had said the most ludicrous thing. He looked down at himself then back at M'gann. "Yes? At least I seem to be?" "Artemis will be so --" she had started to speak only to blink at the suddenness of his closer proximity.
They were talking to one another a few feet away; Wally still standing further down the alley when next thing she knew he was right in front of her within the blink of an eye; his feet had carried him closer to her. "Look, I am not the guy your looking for." He didn't recognize her, his emotions were more of confusion and curiosity than anything else; he seemed to have no idea who she was.
~But how can that be?~ They knew each other for years. It almost made her second guess herself that maybe she was wrong, maybe he just looked like him except it wasn't just a similarity this guy was sporting he was the spitting image of Wally; living and breathing replica. He even sounded and smelled like the Wally even her heightened senses was telling her it was him.
His green hues watched her for a moment more before he glanced down the alley the confusion read across his face. "I am Wally West but I am not the one that was your friend,"
"Well my friend's name was Wally West...*is* Wally West too." she corrected her self. If he was alive then past tenses weren't necessary. Maybe whatever happened to him when the chrysalis struck him messed up his brain; scrambled his memories. M'gann tried to reason this 'different' Wally.
"We all hung out together." she said then pulled out her phone to showed him some old pictures of Wally and her and the original crew; all of them hanging out at the beach at Happy Harbor and Halloween that year they all went to the Halloween dance. She even had pictures of his birthday where she baked his favorite cake and the original team was all there. " We were all friends, you, Artemis, Khaldur, Dick, Connor and I...M'gann."
"Don't you remember any of us?" she asked [/ul] [/div] tag Inertia/Wally word count 558 notes Pictures and events of the past mentioned were taken from Season one of the showlyrics Dance with the Devil by Breaking Benjamin credit Rae of Sunshine! of Caution 2.0 made this temp!
